ramming damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 4) = 12 (not much momentum on this hit being how close you were already.

The speeder doesn't seem to hurt the droid.

Kagore blasts the droid two times striking true. The first blast doesn't appear to hurt it but the second shot does a little damage.

Gotals shots strike true as well hurting the droid a little.

The droid lifts up it's arm and a gout of flame burst fort from where it's hand just was over the speeder.

damage: 5d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 3, 3) + 1 = 17

Rufus, Tallon and his wife are wounded by the fire and catch on fire. Will continue to take 4D damage per round unless flames are put out. Gotal and Kagore's armor and natural strength helps resist the flames.

Tallon screams and takes off his jacket smothering his wife worried more for her than his own life.

Your all up again. Rufus at -1D and on fire.

"Right! Yeah! Sounds good!" groans Rufus as he accepts Kagore's help in getting to his feet. He runs as fast as he can to the Gold.

You all rush to the Alabaks Gold!

Rufus start up the engines and begin to lift off when your sensors pick up three approaching craft. By their configuration and sensor readout, you make them to be TIE interceptors. You will have to deal with them until you are far enough from Tatooine’s gravitational well to attempt a jump into lightspeed.

Rufus you roll init since your the pilot. Pilot+Maneuverability (2D6) right now. There are 2 gunner seats with the swiveling twin laser cannons and one ion pulse cannon the pilot control front facing.

To shoot you roll your gunnery + firecontrol of the weapon.

The TIE's are at medium range right now.

Rufus you can make Pilot + Maneuverability rolls to out run the TIE fighers as well each round. If you go beyond Long range your out of firing range.

Is gunnery straight Dexterity?

Gotal assist Tallon and his wife in getting on the ship then races to the laser cannon seat.

Gunnery is Mechanical you have 2D in it. So with fire control you get to roll 5D when firing the ship guns.

Actually all 3 of you can roll Init cuz you can fire separately.

Round 1
Rufus
Tie1
Tie2
Tie3
Kagore
Gotal

###################

Rufus your up first. Do you wish to spread the distance between yourself and the Tie's or shoot or both at MAP penalty? I'm going to change it so your cannon is swiveling as well so you can shoot.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

I think distance is probably best, but if the others want to shoot at some TIEs, that's fine with me.

Rufus pushes the engines to the red, while making sure there is still some power running to the aft shields. "I'm not sure if we can outrun them in this tub! Who feels like dancing with them?"

Piloting: 6d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 1, 4, 3) + (3, 4) = 22

Tie1 keeps at Medium range with Rufus but it's shots go wide

Tie2 drops to Long range with Rufus and shots go wide.

Tie3 shortens to Short range with Rufus and shots go wide.

Kagore and Gotal's shots go wide as well missing the TIE's.

Rufus you can roll again.

"All right; let's try to discourage them, shall we?" Rufus says. He jukes once, then levels out to let the gunners get a shot while rotating the ion cannon aft and squeezing off a shot.

I hate to be that guy...but did you take a die penalty to your rolls for making two actions in the same turn Rufus?

Kagore attempts to lay down suppressing fire on the closest still threat TIE interceptor.

"Damn everything I hate ship to ship combat! Let me look my foes in the eyes!"

Gunnery: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 6, 6) = 28

Yes I did -- I've got 6D in both gunnery and piloting starships.

Rufus strikes true hitting the closest Tie!
Starship Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
One of the side wings is blasted off and the Tie spins out of control away from the fight.

################

Tie1 Piloting: 7d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 5, 1, 5, 4) + 1 = 25

Tie2 Attack: 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 3, 4) + 2 = 22
Tie2 Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 6) = 13

Tie1 maintains Medium distance and misses it's shot.

Tie2 drops back out of range for shooting.

#################

Kagore strikes Tie1!
Starship Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
The shot glances off the ship appearing to cause some damage but still chases.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Ion weapons are actually supposed to disable shields and starship systems, so I'm pretty sure that shot shouldn't have knocked off a wing. But it's still likely out of the fight.

"Nice shot! Keep it up!" Rufus encourages as he notes that only one TIE is still in range. He focuses on scanning their escape vector, to make sure there's no hidden surprises.

Pilot: 5d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 4, 6) + (2, 2) = 26

ComScan: 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2) + (2) = 9

Good catch going to have to update rules for Ionization weapons. With your damage roll it would of been dead in space so it's disabled.

Rufus scans the area while trying to out maneuver the other TIE that's still in range and dread covers his normally lively face. The Relentless is right above you!

Waiting for Gotal to attack still.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal targets the same Tie that Kagore hit.

Gunnery 5d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 5, 6) = 21
Damage 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 4) = 14

Gotals shot was just a bit outside as the TIE outmaneuvers the shot.

######################
Just perform your actions based on the new rules. Pilot must always go first for the Speed Segments to determine distance for the damage modification but you can all still attack/damage and I can modify basedon range.

•Declaration Segment: Pilots, copilots and gunners announce what actions they take this combat round. So do any other characters on the ship.
•Speed Segment: Pilots rolls for each ship to determine whether it closes with its opponent or increases the distance. Sublight Speed die is rolled or pilot may add Pilot skill to roll using standard MAP rules to increase distance.
•First Fire Segment: Gunners make skill rolls to determine whether they hit their targets. When weapons hit targets, damage rolls are made and compared to Soak.
•Second and Subsequent Fire Segments: If any gunner is firing more than once rolls are made for all second attacks; then, all third attacks occur; etc.

Round 3
Alabaks Gold (Undamaged)
Tie1 (Medium Range)
Tie2 (Out of Range)
Tie3 (Disabled - Out of Range) ion blast: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 Minutes

Relentless looms right above your ship.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Oh, not good, not good," Rufus mutters as he turns the Gold directly toward the capital ship. The heavy turbolasers on the star destroyer should have a tougher time tracking them on a direct approach. Then they should be clear of the guns once he dips to go underneath it.

"We have a little problem, but don't panic!" Rufus announces as the massive ship fills his viewport. "They don't turn well, so once we're behind it, we'll have a good vector towards hyperspace! Just get ready to blast anything coming out of their lauch bays!"

Pilot -- fancy flying: 6d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 6, 4, 6) + (5, 2) = 33

Rufus the Alabaks sublight speed is 3D6 so you know. It's a snappy freighter. 1D is it's maneuverability but 2D because your an ace pilot for dodging attacks :).

speed: 1d6 ⇒ 2 = 35

TIE1 Pilot+Speed: 2d6 + 2 + 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 1) + 2 + (3, 3, 6, 6, 4) + 2 = 32
TIE1 Attack Gunnery+Firecontrol: 1d6 + 2 + 3d6 ⇒ (3) + 2 + (5, 3, 2) = 15
TIE1 drops back to long range not able to keep up with Rufus awesome flying skills but takes a shot anyhow and misses.

TIE2 Pilot+Speed: 2d6 + 2 + 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 2 + (6, 6, 6, 1, 1) + 2 = 34
TIE2 Attack Gunnery+Firecontrol: 1d6 + 2 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (2, 3, 3) = 12
TIE2 comes back into long range and shoots at the Alabak but is unable to strike the Alabak.

Kagor and Gotal can shoot at both ships. TIE1 is damaged a little

Gunnery 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 6, 3) = 16
Damage 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 5) = 16

Gotals shot goes wide

You know you do have concentration and can do MAP penalty -1D to Force Concentration check and Gunnery check but potential to get +4D (+3D after penalty) on attack roll if you succeed your force roll.

I try to save it and use it sparingly else it becomes excessive I think. Plus the DC would be 20 as I am not in a calm state and with 3d6 that's almost not even possible to make.

Oh yeah true that!

Just as Rufus was trying to fly under the Relentless trying to avoid it's blasters the Alabaks Gold begins to shake and stutter as it's being pulled toward the Relentless bay.

You see the two remaining TIE fighters veer off as this happens.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"I really had hoped they wouldn't do that!!" Rufus shouts. "Everyone! Concentrate fire on the tractor beam arrays!"

Rather than try to break free by resisting the beam's force, Rufus keeps the momentum going towards the hangar and flipping the ion cannons forward. As soon as the Gold is brought within the outer ray shields, he squeezes the trigger. "Now! Fire!"

Considering spending a Force Point on the Gunnery roll...

Male Imperial Coruscant Human Imperial Officer

Cut Scene:

The camera pans over a star field where a million stars away in the distance shine to illuminate a mile long arrowhead warship entrap a much smaller craft.

Bridge, Interior, Imperial Class Star Destroyer Relentless:

An Imperial Naval officer walks steadily above the crew pits, his well polished boots making perfect pitch clicks as he strides past scores of crew men and junior officers manning their stations, intent on keeping the massive Star Destroyer running at peak performance.

The scene is reminiscent of sea galleons from 100,000 years previous, when slaves would toil in galleys and their eye level would only glimpse at their slavers heels.

He approaches three more Command Officers, and snaps to attention as he meets then on the bridge viewports.

Commander, XO Relentless to Captain:

"We have them sir. They are trying to peel off, but Tractor Team Inveigle has secured them. They will burn their engines out if they try to resist further."

Captain, Relentless:

"These are REBELS, Commander. They will rip their vessel in two if they think they have a modicum chance of escape. Make sure your Tractor Team does not lose them. I want these traitors to the New Order to learn that there is nowhere in The Empire they can run."

Commander:

'Yes Sir!'

The officer hurries back to his monitoring station, barking commands as he goes.

Lt. Colonel Heshvaun, XO Imperial Army contingent, Relentless:

"I will personally lead the boarding party, I'll have the troopers set weapons to stun so we can question these lawless saboteurs, once secured I will then have an ISB scan team go every inch of the ship."

Colonel:

"I don't think they give medals for capturing lone freighters Heshvaun, and even if they did, you have more than enough of those to show off to the high born women of Coruscant your fond of. Let one of your Lieutenants handle this."

Lt. Colonel Heshvaun:

"I will take one of them with me, of course. If you would indulge me Colonel, we have not seen REAL action in ..."

Colonel: waving a dismissive hand

"Fine, fine, go play hero of The Empire, just don't get yourself killed by some Wookiee with a death wish, I would rather not have to report that to your ... benefactor." The Colonel smirks at the word.

Lt. Colonel Heshvaun:

"Sir!" He crisply nods to the two Command Officers then in academy perfect cadence marches out of the bridge. He switches on his com unit on his vest,

"Boarding Squads Blackvine and Shator, head to the main docking bay at the double quick."

"Quartermaster Quin, flash and smoke grenades to each squad, and an Ion charged one in case they have droids."

" Lieutenant Newland, send an orderly for my armour and side arm, we have our second catch of the week."

The Relentless

Captain Palarn smirks as Lt. Colonel Heshvaun leaves with the troopers. He yells out some orders to the men.

"Engage the 2nd tractor beam. Don't want these Rebels to get lucky with any type of escape."

######################

Just outside Relentless

Tractor Beam attack: 3d6 + 5d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) + (6, 4, 6, 3, 3) = 32
Tractor damage: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4, 1, 2) = 20 vs TN 9

As you fire at the initial tractor beam a second shoots out and latches onto the Alabaks hull. Things are not looking good as you being to be pulled in even faster and are moments away from entering the doc. The ships engineers roar to life as Rufus is giving it all she got! (star trek!) but does not help with the escape.

As the ship enters the bay a flurry personal Ion Cannons blast the ship disabling all controls and the Alabak goes quite. In the bay you see a score of storm troopes and officers with blasters aimed at the entrance of the Alabaks.

########################

Inside the bay of the Relentless
One storm trooper reports to Lt. Col. Antonius N Heshvaun. "Sir their ship is disabled and we are ready for boarding. We received orders from the Captain to disarm and bring the rebel scum directly to the Brig with the other prisoners for transportation back to Lord Vader."

Male Imperial Coruscant Human Imperial Officer

Now in the olive grey Imperial Officer Core Armor with Blast TECH modified side arm at the ready,

"Excellent. Lieutenant Newland, stun settings on the riffles, tell the men we want prisoners today. Take Blackvine, I'll take Shator Squad."

The Officer eyes his well trained boarding teams, a proud half smile manages to crease his face.

"Have the Bay Warrant Officer patch me into the Deck intercom, let's have a friendly word with these Rebels shall we ... Before we conduct todays heroics, any one care to wager how many britches they soiled on that freighter?"

With a sly wink and a whisper to the Lieutenant,

'I need extra credits, some Zeltron women have rather expensive tastes." The senior officer allows himself a brief wistful expression.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Fetch me my brown trousers, Rufus thinks bitterly as the Gold is disabled despite his best efforts. He backs away from the console as the blue lightning arcs across it.

Remembering that the Mon Cal design of the freighter should have an electronic baffle that could discharge most of the ionization effects at a far faster rate, he risks a shock to activate it. They'll need a miracle, but in the event they get one, it wouldn't do to have a non-functioning ship.

Starship Repair: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1) = 12

Rufus gives it the old college try with no luck the gold will be out for a while.

The crew hears the ships door get lached and pops as the force the door open. You hear a voice from outside. "Come out with your arms up and you will not be hurt!"

"We have that thermal detonator. We could strap it to the escape pod, and launch it toward one of the emitters," Rufus offers, running out of ideas.

He looks out the cockpit for an alternative mode of transportation, such as a shuttle, within reach.

"One more warning Rebel Scum else we will have to trash your ship and pull your broken bodies out! Come out with your hands up and you will be taken alive and unhurt!" you hear the same voice again from outside.

Visible outside the cockpit Rufus you see at least 4 platoons of storm troopers with an assortment of heavy to light weapons along with officers scattered about. There are other TIE vessels locked down here but the likely hood of being able to get to one is slim to none. Chances of survival right now are almost nill if you go out in a fight.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal sighs, "I fear that you are right Rufus. I certainly have no desire to be caught alive and tortured for information on the whereabouts of more Jedi. Do what you must. If we can take this Star Destroyer with us so be it".

Gotal turns to Adar, "I am sorry. We tried..."

I get +4d6 to my next action so that will be at least one dead stormtrooper!

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus shakes his head. "This is it. I guess we protect the Rebellion by blowing the ship. And ourselves."

He wipes the navicomputer first, then starts to overload the power core.

Male Imperial Coruscant Human Imperial Officer

Interior main Docking Bay, Relentless :

A technical engineer monitoring the captured freighter runs over to the Command Officer.

Warrant Officer:

'Sir. We are detecting micro power surges from inside the ship. There is a possibility they are trying to overload their systems to self destruct their vessel. They should not be able to do this, but to ensure they don't we recommend that we hit them with Ion bursts. Or contain them in a force shield. Even if they somehow manage to overload their systems, we could contain the explosion."

Lieutenant Newland: cursing under his breath.

'Damn these Rebels, they are all nerve burners.'

Lt. Colonel Heshvaun: Focusing for a moment, eyes on the captured ship.

'They are not overly fond of your voice Lieutenant. turning to the engineer Patch me through their Com system.'

On board the Rebel's ship, a new voice can be heard, not over the Docking bay's speakers but from the cockpit.

"To the crew and passengers of the Mon Cal freighter, I am not sure if there are Sabacc players among you, but in case there are, maybe they should tell the others something about odds. Your type of vessel needs a crew of two to four, with passenger room for another six perhaps. So, ten of you at most?"

"In this hanger bay alone we have over twelve times that number of guns, ion turrets and heavier weaponry trained at you. This is NOT a fight you can win."

"Believe me, I have been in unwinnable situations before ... and yet I am still here. Perhaps it is best for all concerned that you lay down you arms and perhaps you may live to fight another day."

"I am Lt. Colonel Antonius Neurath Heshvaun, and I give you my word, as long as you are under my jurisdiction, you will not be mistreated."

The Imperial Officer does not add that the prisoners are bound to be transferred over to the Dark Lord of the Sith.

The Force and Rufus Griller:

You KNOW this voice! You are certain of it. Heshvaun? You KNOW that name! You served under him when he was a captain!
