"Ah very good. Any advice before we meet her? I'd hate to offend her in some fashion if she can really help us."

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"My guess would be not to compare her to Jabba -- regarding her place, her size, or her girth.

The rusted ruins of the transmission tower cast a shadow across the ridge complex. The silo itself rests atop a square metal building, with double doors set in one side. One door rocks open in the evening breeze. An old speeder is parked behind the silo, and a control box is attached to a side wall.

"This as far as I go *hic*. She's expecting you. Just be yourself! *burp*."

Everyone make Easy (10) search rolls as you look around the area before entering.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Search: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 3) = 14

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Search: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 3, 4) + 1 = 14
Wild: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (2) = 8=22

You find shifted sands around the complex that show a number of landspeeders recently moved through this vicinity.

You are now alone here as the guide has already left on his speeder.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal watches the ma as he goes wary of whether he will return. He stays vigilant as his allies search for the entrance.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore nods to Rufus. "Many landspeeders were here a short time ago. We better move fast or we might find this info has already been sold."

He quickly moves to the silo entrance and looks inside.

The dark interior of the silo is quiet and still. Your footsteps echo loudly about the metal chamber. Then you notice shapes upon the floor, beside some over-turned furniture. Three humans and a hulking white-furred alien are scattered nearby, distinct blaster burns riddle their bodies. An lthorian, presumably Slag Flats, is slumped in her chair, her great hammer-shaped head splayed across her desk.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"I hate being right." Kagore rushes forward to the desk of Slag and examines the body and looks for any clues on where the bounty hunter's might have gone. He taps his comm to radio Gotal. "Gotal, Slag is dead. The bounty hunters beat us to her and from the look of things they took off, probably to find Adar. We could use you over here, we need to figure out where they went and get there fast."

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus frowns as he looks over the scene. He stands mutely until Kagore's words spur him into action. He starts looking for any sort of scanners that may have been recording or something that could be used to track the hunters.

Examining Slag you find a dart jutting from her neck, just like the one that killed Dana. There is a data pad near her lifeless hand and has two words typed into it: “Arno’s next.”

Just at that moment the silo doors clang shut and magnetically seal!

Outside Gotal sees 4 land speeders coming from around the other side of the silo speeding off into the distance!

Tower Ridge Water Silo

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore snatches up the pad before hitting his comm and looking around the room for another way out, possibly through the roof.

"Gotal they sealed us in. Slag left a dying message on her pad that might lead us to the next person. The one who killed Slag is the one from the station who killed Dana. Can you catch the ones that sealed us in?"

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal comms back, "Do you require my assistance to get free or should I trail these bounty hunters?"

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus glances around as he considers Gotal's question. "I suppose we'll be safe for a while if you want to follow them. But you won't have backup, unless we can find a quick way out. Maybe we can dig. It's all sand here, right?"

He kicks at the floor, wondering if it could be that easy.

Gotal you can easily take the landspeeder that's outside the silo and follow the BH's if you wish.

Inside kicking at the sand does you no good as the floor under the sand is metal as well. Suddenly water beings to pour into the sealed chamber!

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"Perfect...I was just thinking a bath would be great."

Still waiting on description on interior and any possible way to escape out the roof or where the water is coming from. Can't make a decision til get that info.

Sorry didn't see that been a long week!

Looking up you see a hole in the roof you could probably escape through if you don't drown first.

It's going to take a few rounds for the water to raise high enough for you and Rufus to escape out that hole and will need 2 easy swim checks TN 10.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore hits the comm as he looks at Rufus. "Go Gotal. The mission comes first...you need to stay on them and find Arno before they find him. He might be able to get you to Adar. The rebellion is counting on you." He takes his hand off the link and addresses Rufus. "Can you swim? We need to get out through the roof if the door is magnetically sealed."

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal hops on the speeder and heads after the bounty hunters. He stays within sight but far back enough that they cannot so easily spot him, no doubt he versus all of them would end badly.

There does not appear to be any other way out and the water is rising really fast!

Make 2 swim checks each please.

Gotal you jump on the speedster and head after the bounty hunters.

Make repulsorlift operation roll to keep up with them else they may loose you.

repulsorlift operation: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) + 2 = 16

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Swim 1: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 3) = 8
Swim 2: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 1) = 9

Don't forget drama points. Those do refresh over time.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Spending 2 Drama dice, one each check.

Drama 1: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Drama 2: 1d6 ⇒ 4

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Incredible! The waste of so much water on a desert planet! I'd be willing to say we're rich, but we'll soon be drowning in so much wealth!" Rufus comments as the water begins filling the silo and he considers the incongruity of such a precious resource being used so.

Before the water gets too high, he wades to the edge of the silo and uses the wall to help him stay afloat.

Also, is any of the furniture floating?

Swimming: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) = 9
Swimming: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6) = 10
Drama point for check #2: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Kagore make one more swim test please as you struggle to stay afloat.
Rufus i think you meant drama point for roll 1 since 10 on roll 2 made it.

Rufus you see Kagor struggling a bit trying to stay afloat. Probably that damned heavy armor he's wearing under those robes!
Rufus you can make a strength check to assist him swimming since you made yours.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Swim: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 1) = 16
Wild Swim: 1d6 ⇒ 1

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Swim assist: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1) = 9

Kagore feels the water staring to surround him and focuses on is survival with the assistance of Rufus who seems to not be having such a hard time and is able to stay afloat as the water rushes to the roof and your able to pull yourself free onto the roof of the build.

You see the speeders off far in the distance with a loan speeder who you assume is Gotal chasing them. Looking down you see the control box which was probably used to set this trap on the other side of the building.

How are you going to get down from here?

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore drags himself to the roof and out of the flooded room. "Wasting this much water seems like a criminal offense on a desert planet..."

How far is it from the roof to ground? Are there any nearby buildings? Does the water begin to drain after filling the room or is it going to flow outward over the edge of the roof? Is there anyone else around in the area? Need more details...

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

I have a 1d6 in Mechanical so it would be impossible to meet their roll. Can I use Drama Points just to at least keep behind them close enough to tail them, I don't want to catch up by myself anyway.

"I know, right?" Rufus shouts over the sound of the rushing water.

He gauges the distance between him and the control panel, wondering if he could get a shot off with his blaster and strike it.

Is that possible?

Gotal yes you can use drama points for extra dice to roll. They refresh over time.

Silo
Image of what the silo looks like. You both are on top of it right now on the curved area.

Looking around you only see the speeders taking off in the distance there is not any other souls in sight. You are a bit off from the city so yelling probably won't get anyone's attention either. The water stops when it reaches the top when you escaped but doesn't appear to be going down.

Rufus yes you can shoot at the control box. Make blaster roll to hit don't worry about damage.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Let's see if this works," Rufus offers, the draws a bead with his blaster.
Blaster: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 6) = 16

The shot rings and strikes the control box and you hear an loud explosion followed by a fizzle and you see the front mag locked door open and the water beginning to drain out into the desert.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore nods and jumps back into the pool of draining water and swimming for the door and rushing to hit the wet ground outside the silo.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

DM:
Caps, what if as I begin to lose them I use Telekenesis to cause a crash among them to at least slow them down? This gives my allies a chance to catch up before the Bounty Hunters arrive at our target. Thoughts?

gotal:
Sure there is a lot of debris lying around will probably need something big enough to cause the speeder to crash so probably a easy/difficult TN 12 size object to slam into one of the vehicles. There are 4 of them so 2-3 will probably still escape.

Kagore and Rufus you both finally make it out of the building soaking wet after about 10 minutes. The sun's heat outside will dry you fast but by time you get out you can't see the speeders any longer (Unless Gotal does something fancy before you get out. Lets see if he can do it.)

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

10 minutes? How does it take 10 minutes to swim out a door on a rush of water?

"Well looks like we need to secure transportation and then catch up to Gotal. Hopefully he can com us his location." Kagore looks for the nearest place they might secure a speeder, including a shop.

The whole process of going up and coming out was about 20 minutes total. The building is big and still takes a bit for water to get out.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

DM:
I was thinking something more subtle, forcing one of them to crash into another as if one of them lost control, what is the diff for that?

gotal:
The speeders are probably a bit heavier and the TN would be much higher. TN 20.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

DM:
Gotal concentrates calling upon the Force to guide him.

Concentration 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) = 14

Telekenesis Force one of the speeders into the group attempting to cause a crash 3d6 + 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2) + (3, 3, 1) = 17

I want to use a Force Point here to make this a successful roll but I cannot find in the book what f@#&ing force points do...

gotal:
force points double your dice pool for one roll. Remember using force points can be dangerous for you being a force user :)

Your rolls were a bit off. Since your splitting your dice for 2 actions Concentration and Telekinesis. The TN for Concentration being that your not resting or at peace would be a 13 so you would of failed that roll with a 10. Then your Telekinesis roll with force point would be 2d6 + 2d6 with no bonus from concentration for 14 total which would be enough to push something into one of the speeders but not move a speeder itself.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore keeps looking for a speeder or a place they might get a speeder they both can ride in.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

DM:
So instead of using Concentration I could just use a force point and double my dice pool on the Telekenesis action? I would probably do that as this seems like a critical point in the action to get that done and forego the concentration roll.

Telekinesis - Force one speeder into another - 3d6 + 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5) + (5, 6, 4) = 25.

Gotal calls on the force.

*cue the music!*

Holding his hand out while operating the speeder with the other he forces one of the speeders to slam into another causing a wild spin out and them tumbling into utter destruction. The other 2 speeders continue on toward the city unperturbed.

######

Kagore and Rufus you both see the wreck of 2 speeders in the distance and smoke as you look for signs of where Gotal chased them off to.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Wasn't what I was looking for...still looking for speeders or heading toward the nearest place we can get speeders.

You would have to head back into the city where they were headed anyhow. It's about a 30 minute hike on foot same as when you first came out here.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore begins jogging back toward the city. "Comon Rufus we need to get back!"
