Colton waited for Tallon and his wife before running off with them down the corridor.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"Go Gotal! We'll be right behind and if you take another hit from one of these blasters you'll only slow us down! Protect Tallon and don't forget our mission or Dana's death will have been for nothing!"

Talon and his wife retreat through the blast door as he takes one final shot blindly at the troopers behind them.

Pew Pew!

More shots fired as you see more troopers making their way through the other intersection that is open.

"Don't let them escape!" One of the troopers yells.

As the last of you make it through the blast doors Tallon punches in a few codes and is seals behind you and he shoots the control panel with his blaster.

"That will keep them off our tail for a bit but not forever lets keep moving."

Your group continues on and reach a blocked corridor, but an open blast door to one side leads into what appears to be a repair facility. Racks of engine parts line the far wall, and dismantled sublight modulators lie on a central table. Another door across the shop leads into what seems to be a clear corridor. This appears to be the only path you can take unless you want to go back.

Tallon looks around. "The passage through the repair shop isn't the most direct route, but it will be quicker than back tracking that's for sure."

You hear the scrape of armored boot across metal floor and spin to meet whoever approaches. A flash of light explodes in front of you, blinding you with its brilliance, When your eyes clear, your vision remains obscured as the room fills with a thick grey smoke. More armored footsteps sound, and a familiar voice resonates from the ship-wide comlink. "So good of you to join us. Welcome to lesson number two.. I call it 'stacking the deck.' I suggest you refrain from coughing, so as not to attract undue attention."

Your all wearing breath masks luckily so the smoke has no effect. The smoke provides some cover making ranged TN +5 to hit.

Lets try the no init and just everyone act at same time with highest rollers going first each round. I'll summarize the round after everyone acts :)

The troopers begin to fan out trying to block all exists and focus fire in pairs at you rebel scum!

Drama die: 1d6 ⇒ 6

The only problem that I see with this system is that you're rolling with teamwork bonuses when the enemy may not actually have it when everything shakes out.

Good point Colton! For this round combat I'll adjust their bonus with penalty if any member of team is killed for the attack.

Also you don't have to always roll to bring sense danger up if you want to "keep it up" so you can just say your going to keep sense danger active and have the -1D penalty on all the time so to activate it with nothing else active would be your full Die pool 4d6+6 and then anything beyond is -1D.

Okay, I can keep it up until I need to do something other than fight.

Kagore narrowed his eyes as the voice persisted. It apparently liked the sound of its own voice. He slowly faded into the smoke like a force ghost fading away.

"What's with this guy? Crazy tactical lessons over the intercoms? I wonder if he's realized his ship is dying," Rufus mutters while taking cover behind one of the machine shop tables.

He fires into the fog, hoping to get a lucky hit while blaster bolts whine past him.

Stealth 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 1 = 12

Tallon's shot strikes true as you hear a trooper grunt and thud as he hits ground!

The trooper shooting at Tallon misses!

The shot at Rufus goes a little wide thanks to the smoke and Rufus shot does as well missing the trooper.

Gotal and Kagore disappear into the smoke both shots missing them.

The shots at Colton are deflected by his lighsaber as he stands ready for the attacks and his senses reaching out to the force.

Round 2!

Blaster shots flew back and forth as smoke rolled through the room, creating a strobe effect and limiting visibility to just silhouettes. Suddenly there was a muffled wilhelm scream of a troop as a figure emerged from the gloom into their midst striking out at the cluster of troopers and snapping necks as well as smashing heavy blows into the next trooper and the next. In seconds a figure stood among a few less troopers ready to draw some fire on himself before fading back into the smoke....

Colton bats the attacks back with his lightsaber.

Snap! Crackle! Pop! Kagore makes short work of two troopers that were in close proximity shooting at Rufus!

Colton's deflected blast finds it's mark dropping the last one that was shooting at Tallon!

The shots at Rufus goes wide from the last pair firing in his direction due to the smoke.

Two pairs of blasters shots in Colotons direction are deflected by his lightsaber again! If you want to deflect both do at -1D MAP on top of your -1D for sense danger, so -2D on both return fires.

Tallons shot goes wide!

Waiting on Rufus and Gotal to act

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

The sound of armor cracking was a welcome one, since Rufus just couldn't see in this haze. Quieting down to not give his enemies any further help locating him in the smoke, he snaps off another shot and moves to keep them guessing.

Blaster: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 2) = 13

Blaster shot 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) = 6

Blaster Damage 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 6, 6) = 23

Rufus and Gotal's shots go wide due to the smoke still hindering vision.

Round 3

Kagore weaved forward disappearing into the smoke briefly as the blasters shot at him before he closed the distance between that team. He struck out once at each man with a Tera Kasi palm strike to just under their helmets where the armor would be weak.

tallon shot: 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 4) + 1 = 13
damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 2, 6) = 22

2 more troopers slump to the ground with a thud as more blaster fire shots across the room all shots missing.

Tallons shot drops another trooper out of the last pair still standing.

Colton you can deflect shot if you wish. 1 trooper left if you can deflect it just right...

Lightsaber deflection: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 5) = 19

Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6, 3) = 18

Colton knocked a blaster bolt right back into the stormtrooper.

Colton deflects the shot taking out the last trooper!

These troopers had blaster carbines (6D6 damage) if you wish to take some.

Tallons moves to one of the bodies and takes one of the carbines for himself before turning to the group.

"Things getting dangerous and this captain seems to like to play games. Lets move out."

The corridor beyond the repair shop passes a large chamber that is obviously a medical station, and it appears strained under the weight of a ship full of casualties. Twelve bacta tanks fill the center of the chamber. Three of these have been shattered due to the damage Relentless has sustained, their life-giving fluids splashed across the metal floor. The other tanks are intact, each holding a wounded man. The beds and examination tables are filled as well, and other wounded crew members spill into the crowded corridor.

As you look around, a frantic medical droid pops out from behind the tanks. "None of my assistants answered my duty alert, so you'll just have to wait until I get around to you. So many wounded, so many dead."

Colton scoops up a carbine as he runs past, barely slowing.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus also grabs one of the troopers' weapons. "Now I have a blaster carbine. Ho ho ho."

Note blaster carbines can not be shot while in melee unlike pistols which can.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore smiles at Rufus. Despite the grim atmosphere, the young pilot's cavalier attitude made things seem less serious to the point of impossible. He retrieve a blaster carbine, holstering the pistol as he followed the others.

"Good shooting everyone. With rebels like you the empire will soon enough follow the example of this ship and break apart. Let us push forward and spring the next trap no doubt being prepared even now."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"It sure was kind of the voice to provide us these weapons. I'll thank him personally if we run into him."

INTERIOR: ATTACKING FLAGSHIP, BRIDGE
The camber slowly pans across a battered Mon Calamari Cruiser, zooming in to look at the bridge. Sparks fly from a freshly welded control panel as crew members bustle in and out of frame. The shot finally comes to rest upon the stoic figure of Captain Torrie, commander of the fleet that attacked Relentless. A medical droid bandages a bloddy wound on Torrie's right arm.

"Repair status," orders the captain.
"Almost there, sir," an aid responds. "Power is up 50 percent in the remaining ships, we have basic sublight drive capability, and all but one ship have minimal shields."
"And Relentless?"
"No discernible improvement," replies the aide, "she seems almost dead in space.
A smile creeps across the captain's face as he engages the fleet-wide comlink. "Task Force Starfall, this is Starfall leader. Prepare to attack. I repeat, prepare to attack."
Wipe to...
INTERIOR: RELENTLESS ENGINEERING SECTION
##########################

Your team moves past the medical bay and continues on. You reach the end of a corridor, marked by a closed blast door. once opened it empties into a control station of some kind. The chamber is vacant and all the equipment here has been destroyed. Another door brings you face to face with the engine control core.

The floor ahead of you ends and you find yourselves upon a small metal ledge, looking out upon a huge cylindrical shaft that surrounds a pulsing power column. Energy streams criss-cross the shaft, crackling between the column and power conductors in the shaft walls. These deadly, dancing beams create a ballet of many-colored light. Across from you, midway through the shaft, the power column splits in two. The top half continues upward as far as you can see, the bottom half drops down into the bowels of the Star Destroyer. Between the two halves, a solid beam of energy sparkles with unimaginable colors. At this juncture, a circular platform provides access to a central control console. Three grey-clas technicians busily work the controls, changing the mix of colors in the beam.

[b]"We must get to the control console to alter the self-destruct order." Tallon states.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore nods and carefully begins to study the room looking for a safe path across to get to the control panel. Perhaps there is a pattern or a safe walkway past the power discharges.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Those techs are already over there. Why don't we ask them nicely?"

Getting to the control panel you will need to cross the bridge which is only a meter wide with no railings. Will require an Easy (10) dexterity check to make it across with all the crazy lights messing with your eyes and narrow walkway.

The technicians do not seem to be paying you any attention as they are busy at work.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore sneaks carefully across the bridge attempting to gain surprise on the technicians.

Colton watched Kagore sneak across the bridge before glancing to the others.

"Does he always do things the hard way?"

Kagore you easily sneak up on the technicians but they seems to be way to busy to be bothered with anything other than what they are doing.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Let me know if you would like rolls but I figure these seem rather non combaty types.

Kagore steps up and smacks two of their heads together before putting the last man in a submission hold. "What are you all doing here while the ship is set to explode...rigging a self destruct sequence perhaps?"

Kagore motions the others to join him.

Tallon and his wife are a bit shaky as they make their way across but do not fall. Instead their weapons in hand are lost into the pit.

As Colton nears the edge of the bridge you hear the all-too-familiar sound of a mouse droid merrily beeping behind you. It scoots back the way it came after it notices your group...

Colton hands his carbine to Tallon and unholsters his pistol before handing it to Tallon's wife.

"You'll need these before we get out of here. I have no doubt that the droid went to tell the Imperials where we are."

Colton unsnaps the lightsaber at his belt and covers the others while they get to work on the terminal.

With ease the droid is flung into the blinding light as it beeps it's last beep!

The technicians did not seem to notice and continue doing what they were doing.

Kagore do you want to take them out or leave them be? Computer consoles are before your group now.

Static Defenses:

See above for my intention involving the techs. I would like 1 for questioning is all.

Sorry some reason didn't notice the post with the mayhem!

The two technicians turn toward Kagore when he speaks to them a bit of shock on their face.

"Wait, what..." one says before the other turns back to the keypad and begins typing vigorously.

Man I'm having a case of the Mondays! Sorry work driving me crazy and trying to multitask! No roll needed.

One of the technicians slumps to the ground and the other ends up in Kagores choke hold.

He gurgles something out "Please... don't... kill... me..."

"Answer fast and truthfully and you'll live to see another day. What were you doing?"

Kagore motions someone more technical to the panel.

"We were just monitoring the reactor per orders. Everything is already set." he yelps.
