Tomorbataar |

I'm not sure if we have a coin purse, Tomorbataar peers down at the hydra-crotch, I'm not even sure how that would work.
If I remember correctly normal hydras reproduce asexually.

Grash "Warhead" Varazson |

"Hrmm, we do be needin' something to carry our treasures in. We're sure ter get plenty of treasures iffin' we keep crashin' around and chargin' into interesting places. Maybe we can look into gettin' a bag or something we can strap to our back. Dinnae know what ter to with the fancy conjurin' gem until then, though."

Ziphora |

"I have no idea. I miss Mo. He used to carry our stuff. " Ziphora sniffs. "We might be able to fashion a pouch out of vines though?"

GM_of_the_Heads |

Survival or Perception to find something with which to fashion some kind of carry-thing.

GM_of_the_Heads |

You notice some vines hidden among the leaves of one of the trees nearby. If you can manipulate them somehow you could probably make some sort of carrying implement.

Tomorbataar |

Okay, you two really need to learn to get along. Tomorbataar swings his head around to look at the bushes, Maybe if we take some of those vines and cut them lengthwise so they split open, we could put the gem inside?

Grash "Warhead" Varazson |

Grash helpfully... summons a drum. He also can hold things with Mage Hand, but mostly he helps by thumping his drum slightly impatiently.
While drumming, Hh also realizes that he can use Know Direction to keep them on track as they pursue the lizardfolk. "Aha! I can ken which direction be north, and then which direction that lizard be headin', and be able to keep us from getting lost! Unless we already be going the wrong way, but I dinnae think that be the case."

GM_of_the_Heads |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

You don't have much trouble making a crude sort of vine carrying-basket-thing for the gem.

Just as you're about to leave, however, Beachhead hears an odd sound from behind you. It's quiet, almost too quiet to figure out what it was... but it's enough to set him on edge.

Beachhead |

Beachhead whips around to see what's caused the noise.
"There's something behind us." If he sees the cause of the noise, he'll tell the others. When they turn around to look, he'll hide among the mass of heads and necks.
stealth: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (6) + 21 = 27
Beachhead votes to turn the body towards the source of the noise.

GM_of_the_Heads |

Beachhead sees ripples in the water as something even more massive than you are swims swiftly towards you!
You have just a moment before initiative rolls.

Beachhead |

"Our escapee made it back to his village and sent the creature after us! This is it! Smash the gem! Turn us around! FIGHT!"
From his hiding place, Beachhead uses his shadow clone ability.
# of shadow clones: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Spending 1 ki point. Still voting to turn the body around.

Ziphora |

"Many stand against us but they will never win.
We said we would return and here we are again
To bring them all destruction suffering and pain
We are the hammer of the gods we are thunder wind and rain."
Ziphora chants a battle cry as she electrifies everyone.
Burn internal buffer, everyone is hasted for 8 rounds
Vote turn body around. Charrrrrge!

Tomorbataar |

Tomorbataar curls his neck and lowers his head, getting into his war stance. Maybe it's just a fish? We shouldn't let our guard down, what's behind us? Tomorbataar glances in every direction his siblings aren't looking.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Tomorbataar then votes to charge.

GM_of_the_Heads |

You have just enough time to get turned around and start moving forwards when a massive alligator emerges from the water. Seriously, this thing is huge. How did it fit under the water? It's not that deep here!
Tomorbataar: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Beachhead: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Ziphora: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Grash: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Entycer: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Noglol: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Ziphora goes before it, everyone else moves after.

Ziphora |

Ziphora gathers an empowered blast of lightning and breathes out at the creature.
Empowered lightning blast: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
dmg: 4d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 2) + 6 = 20x 1.5

GM_of_the_Heads |

Ziphora's blast of lightning strikes true, though it doesn't seem to harm the beast quite as well as she'd expected.
You have only enough time to take in the unusual reddish-black hue of the creature's scaly hide before it lunges forward and takes a vengeful bite out of Ziphora.
Bite: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Damage: 3d6 + 13 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) + 13 = 28

Beachhead |

As soon as the creature reaches within ten feet of Ziphora, Beachhead is Suddenly Already There™.
Sneak Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

Sneak Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 17 + 2 = 30
Damage: 2d6 + 1 + 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 6) + 1 + (6, 1, 2, 3) + 1 = 26
Hasted Sneak Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 17 + 2 = 37
Damage: 2d6 + 1 + 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3) + 1 + (1, 2, 5, 6) + 1 = 22
Iterative Sneak Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 12 + 2 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 1 + 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 + (3, 3, 5, 2) + 1 = 19
Assuming any of those hit, the target now takes 4 points of bleed damage at the start of each of its turns. If that AoO hit, the bleeding would start the same turn the target bit Ziphora.
"How do you tell if it's an alligator or a crocodile?" The ninja head asks curiously.

Tomorbataar |

It's an alligator, Tomorbataar replies, studying it closely. You can tell by the size.
Move action study
Untrained Knowledge: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Shifting forward, Tomorbataar surges in front of Ziphora, you'd better hold still or I'll freeze your blood and turn you into a newt!
Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 Commanding it to halt.
Tomorbataar votes to move closer so we can flank.

Grash "Warhead" Varazson |

Grash, excited by the size of their opponent, whips up into a frenzy of drumming, building up a fast beat that drives the hydra to fight harder. "FFFYMMMTTPPHTT!!"
His mouth-filled prounouncement is less encouraging, but still gets his point across.
Move action to start raging song, standard action to cast Good Hope on the hydra-party.

Grash "Warhead" Varazson |

As an afterthought, Grash also amends his movement vote to GRAWR TRAMPLE GIANT ALLIGATOR!, and tries to remember if he's heard of this thing before.
Knowledge: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 +10 more if Arcana or History

GM_of_the_Heads |

The beast seems unaffected by Tomorbataar's command, but it seems much more affected by Beachhead's teeth. All but the last attack hit.
Tomorbataar thinks it's the wrong color for an alligator or a crocodile, but doesn't know what else to think other than that it's way bigger than any he's ever seen.

Grash "Warhead" Varazson |

[ooc]I think we're actually waiting for Entycer... though we could just skip to Ziphora and then alligator if we don't hear from her.

GM_of_the_Heads |

Grash is correct--Ziphora acts again before the alligator. I probably won't wait for Entycer given how busy Shadow's been lately.

Ziphora |

Ziphora gives the alligator-croc a beatific smile, then gets horny on him.

GM_of_the_Heads |

Your body moves forward, resulting in all of you being above the alligator.
Having just discovered that this is a VERY BAD IDEA, the alligator turns and starts fleeing.
This provokes attacks of opportunity from all of you.

Ziphora |

Unfortunately Zip's horn dissappears at the end of turn so yeah none of this AOO business. My brothers can have the pleasure.

GM_of_the_Heads |

This is a new round, given that your other AoO was triggered by its previous movement.

Beachhead |

Remembering the raging song and the Good Hope, Beachhead?
Nope! Increase Beachhead's attack to 34, and the damage to 8.
"Ok, then how do you tell the difference between an alligator and a giant crocodile?" Beachhead asks Tomorbataar. Then he screams "NINJA!", because he forgot to last round, and attacks the crocigator again.
Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 17 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 41
Damage: 2d6 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6) + 1 + 2 + 1 = 15

Ziphora |

dmg: 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 5) + 12 = 27 *1.5
