Two things:

1) I will be on a business trip Sunday to Thursday next week so could delay some posts

2) With the addition of Kenji , as far as dealing with prisoners on the road or in the wild , as a GM I am not holding your characters to any higher standard than needed (or enforced on yourself). So dispatching evil monster hags that attacked you first…no moral issues for paladin code etc. When in a city or village where local laws apply, then it could be different. Defending yourself is always allowed. Committing crimes or violence against helpless or innocent citizens of a town (or even guards only doing their job) would be suspect.

Part of the background of this AP and the rebellion puts characters in a gray area since the Thrunes are the unjust but “rightful” rulers of Kintargo. So that is where some of the pc choices might be allowed for the rebellion but conflict with personal oaths to church or others.

Figure the extended water breathing from the Speaker lasts 4 hours each. The dolphins drag you at half speed (still 40'/round) and cover the 3 mile trip in just at an hour. So you have about 3 hours of water breathing.

The ring of swimming will help one of you. I think others may have spells or items to help. This will be largely an underwater adventure, and your experience in the sewers fighting the Skum gave you a good idea how difficult this can be.

A successful Swim check (DC12 semi-rough water) allows you to swim a quarter of your speed as a move action or half your speed as a full-round action.

Non-piercing weapons do half damage.

Kenji is almost useless under water. :-)

But during fights it’s going to be tough.

Since Sidius is a terrible swimmer, he'll likely seek to borrow a ring. Unfortunately, there's no spell that provides a swim speed that last more than minutes/level on the witch list - and even with all his level 2 spell slots, that's less than half an hour.

That said, he does have an Alter Self prepped and would ask to hold the rod - basically to get 14 minutes of being amphibious and a swim speed when needed.

It was inevitable that Lubella was going to fail a swim check. She's now too far away from the combat to help, other than by casting a spell. :(

Everyone can double the +2 morale bonus from Good Hope to +4 once during the spell duration.

I think undead are generally immune to non-lethal damage, so feel free to smite smite the spirit (I assume it's undead?).

It would help if someone could either restrain Nerrenn, or stabilize him. Lubella is facing the dilemma of whether to break her concentration on Detect Magic to heal him, or risking having him bleed out before she can finish pinpointing the magic auras. She only has ONE set of actions.

I suspect that he might be under some sort of mental domination/control; I got the feeling that he was repeating someone else's words rather than his own. I'd like to keep him alive while we try to figure out what's going on.

Lubella might use the Gift (armor or wand) at rebellion Rank 8 to get a Wand of Cure Light Wounds. I was going to get a mithril chain shirt, but she now has the +2 shadow leather armor from Lorelu.

To move through the illusory wall, you have to convince yourself it is fake by interacting with it then Dc17 will save (at +4 for bonuses due to party members aid). Then you can move through it normally. It is still opaque even if you save (had to check that one myself)
