Wuuthred looks kind of dumb-struck. He sits down, petting the turtle strapped to his arm. No, no, we aren't hurt. It was only a minor Elder. It can't hit us. But, you people, why are you here? How did you get here? Why did you piss off a godd*mn Elder??

Before sitting down to chat with Wuuthred, Okrin reaches over to use his wand of cure light wounds to heal Aiden. (1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9, 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9; 2 charges for a total of 18 hp)

Sitting near Wuuthred, legs crossed. "We were on a boat headed here. The beast.. an Elder you called it? It attacked the boat. Staring off into the water for a moment, then looking at Wuuthred. And you, how did you get here? How have you survived?"

I don't remember how I got here. There were people with me, I remember that. They died on the first day, except myself and another. He died on the second. I found water, food from wreckage. Jek brings me fish sometimes, don't you Jek? *The turtle*:Nyaa! Wuuthred smiles, petting his turtle.

Finally getting the sand out of her eyes, Krystali joins the rest of the party in conversing with the wild man.

"The name's Krystali. How long have you been here? Where do you get food and shelter?"

"Glad to meet you Wuuthred. Thank you, turning toward the turtle and thank you Jek" Standing and looking toward Aiden, "You're welcome. Moving away from the beast is a wise idea. Okrin stows his wand of cure light wounds and prepares to head out.

Wuuthred seems ponderous as he thinks of the answer to Aiden's question. Absently he says You need not worry about him coming back. He wont be standing for a day or 2. But he's not dead. He seems to come to a thought and turns to Aiden. I have seen 3 Elders beside this one, but there are 5 total. But there are more, their servants, the Forged. I have killed 2, I have seen 4 more, but I hear them at night. There are yet more around the island.

"Well then we should make ha--" Rudolph stops mid-sentence as he puts his hand in his pouch. "Oh...right...I forgot powder is useless when wet..."[b]

He turns to Wuuthred. [b]"Tell me, would you happen to know where I might find a dry place to work on my powder? It's useless wet, but I can forge them again if I have a place to work."

Rudolph looks up to gauge the time by the sun's position.

Wuuthred just looks around at you all. "I...have a cave higher up the coast. It will take you about an hour to reach it. If you continue along the beach in that direction," He points off to the east. "you should reach the area, and I will signal you from there. should go ahead and disable the traps. Wuuthred jumps up, and I mean UP, about 20 ft, and flies ahead of you, speeding away.

She takes a look at her new smoke ring, gives it a shake of her head, then lets out a puff of air to blow it away a little.

Pointing toward the plants that he is noticing, "These plants here can live to be thousands of years old. I wonder how long these have been here?" Thinking out loud, "Imagine what has passed in the years they have been here." Knowledge (arcana), 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13, to see if Okrin knows of any other way the ageless plants might be useful.

Later as they continue to walk.
As if suddenly remembering something, "Wuuthred mentioned how he recovered supplies when he ended up here, didn't he. To the group, I wonder if it will ever be safe for us to see what we can find in the remains of the ship?"


It would not be. The tide has taken the wreckage out. NO SUPPLIES FOR YOU! Your ship was destroyed before it was close enough to actually help you. Also you get nothing from that arcana roll. Sorry.

You notice some unnatural plants, you're not sure of the name or any special properties. You notice no medicinal or edible plants immediately, but you do manage to notice from the animal sounds and the plants that there must be a source of fresh water a short distance away, without which some of these plants and animals would not be here.

Since Aiden is the only one who notices how to get to the pool, he is leading. Marching order, please.

Vandre seriously begins to question Vandre's usefulness as a gas cloud and ceases concentration, materializing in front of Krystali.

"A man you say? That's obviously the short of it, but Vandre imagines you had a good reason... no?"


Aiden: What you see, is a rather disturbing sight. You see a 4 legged creature prowling through the tall grass. It looks like a tiger by your guess...but something is observably wrong. There is something, clinging to the top of the creature. It is black, long, the black things legs are wrapped around the tiger's front legs, its back legs are around the body of the tiger. It sees you. All of you... You catch another watching you! ITS IN THE WATER! It flies out of the water in a surprise attack on Aiden. The other, moving to his flank and also attacks.

Make a knowledge check...all the knowledge checks you can to a creature that you think will help you. RIGHT NOW. Also INITIATIVE TIME!

The creatures get the first attack, after that they go by initiative order. Sub GM take command of the monsters from now until the end of combat.

The creatures is large and Feline, orange and black striped, with a large and insectile creature laid across its back and head like carapace armor.

Knowledge Nature DC 10:
The main creature is a Tiger. The thing on its back however...

Knowledge Nature/Arcana DC 13:
The creature on its back is an ankheg, a huge, burrowing insect with a dangerous bite and a tenacity matched only by its hunger. They can see in low light and pure darkness.

Knowledge Nature/Arcana DC 18:
As well as its lethal bite with which it can latch on to its victims, an ankheg has a natural acidic venom which coats its mandibles and can be spit over short distances. Once an ankheg spits however, it takes a number of hours for it to build up its acid once more.

Knowledge Nature/Arcana DC 23:
These natural tunnelers can see in most conditions, and have a extra sense that allows them to detect the slightest of movements through the earth.

Perception checks for the kicker about these things.

Perception DC 18:
You see that the Ankheg seems to form to the tiger's back, and even seems to meld into the skin at some points. The Ankheg's middle legs seems to sink and disappear into the tiger's stomach, as well as its front and back legs sinking into the tiger's legs.

@Rudolph, you are in a forest setting currently, and these are no longer considered "animals".

The swimmer crawls out of the water and swats at Krystali.

Swift action to use Kirin Style (2nd Knowledge (arcana) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 check if needed) against the beast that attacked Aiden.

After seeing the beast attack Aiden, Okrin closes distance with Aiden (avoiding attacks of opportunity if possible) and uses lay on hands. Aiden is healed for 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8.
