IF you guys want a new GM I can tell him/her where I was going with this and they can take it from there...but for my purposes in this game I can't. Im sorry ![]()

![]() While the captain continues to hold the German by gun point he is examined. Keith can see that the bullet was poorly patched, possibly by the captain himself, the bullet went through and didn't leave any permanent damage. There may be a scar there however. After administering some proper first aid the pain is lessened at the cost of some fresh bandages. Captain: Thank you Lieutenant. Now then. Onward to Carantan! He waves his .45 at the German and off they go. Rolling away to Carantan. The other men fallow in company, determined to protect the captain on his way back to the army for proper treatment. ![]()
![]() Captain: Interrogate him? Nah he is just a conscript. That and he is my mode of transportation back to Carantan. Our boys will be pushing into it tomorrow. The whole damned army should be heading that way so we will be able to get fresh supplies later...ach damn this leg hurts. Hey Medic ya wanna take a look at this leg for me before I roll off? You will get your full Hit die, and if you are wounded add the hp you get to your current. So if you have 10 hp and your hit die is 6 you now have 16. If you had 5/10 and gained 6 total health you will now have 11/16 health. Sound fair to you all? ![]()
![]() Alright, day 47 in the alien world of schooling. Your teacher is standing up there preaching whatever. I am not going to write out a mini lession. GIVE ME A PERCEPTION GIVE ME AN INTELEGENCE CHECK 1d20+int mod GIVE ME A WISDOM CHECK! 1d20+WIS mod I will get a lot more detailed as the game goes on do not worry. ![]()
![]() Curt/French: Sorry boys you needed a decent roll on both of them to make complete sense out of this. However, you both can share what you have figured if you so chose to make sense of it. Curt: Evil dog of evil jump bite grr afa gah calm down brain calm down its just a NAZI dog that moves faster then anything ive ever seen before...no worries.... French: you remember stories of how Hitler loves religious "magical" artifacts. Could he have figured out how to use these to make magical..nazi dogs? Woman: YOU NEED TO POST DARN IT YER HOLDING UP THE GAME! Jericho: I will let you keep it seeing you have distance over the target. ALL OF YOU: I don't like how slow im making this so im going to speed things up so I can get to the real part of the roleplay. ![]()
![]() alright, thank you all for being patient with this game. As a reward for surviving your D-Day Jump you are given 2 things. Firstly LEVEL UP! Secondly you all have lost enough will saves to move into the first tier of insanity which is insomnia. You will need to make a will save at the end of the night to sleep each night without visions of the war flashing before you. The next part of your objective is to meet up with the rest of the army at Carintan. Nothing happens on your way out. The germans are too focused on the other paratroopers that landed in. Your small squad gets a breather. You get this night for free, no will save, after today though unless you get your insomnia looked at you will not be able to go to bed without a will save. When you get there, you meet up with the rest of the boys that survived. Out of the 300 some odd troopers that jumped, only 25 made it from your area of jump. There are some friendly hello's shared. Suddenly the number turns into 26 when the good captain shows up. He is being carried by a wheel barrel, operated by an unarmed German, being held at pistol point. Captain: Heya boys and girl. How is life going for ya? He rolls by giving everyone a glance that he had been shot in the leg and somehow managed to survive, That is one tough bastard. ![]()
![]() eh good enough. Oh by the way...let it be known...there is gonna be a SHAZBOT ton of numbers that are goin into this...its likely one of ya will get dingged up. shazbot rolls:
1d100 ⇒ 82 20d100 ⇒ (59, 2, 83, 2, 97, 55, 93, 70, 99, 86, 78, 41, 47, 28, 87, 34, 70, 6, 19, 1) = 1057 17d100 ⇒ (98, 5, 54, 70, 36, 32, 60, 51, 23, 64, 17, 47, 87, 4, 1, 50, 51) = 750 ALRIGHT. This is about how it happens. As the party progresses through the smokey terrain the hailstorm of bullet fire rains down on them. It is a rather impressive feat of firepower. The allies make it to their target location as the sounds of heavy aircraft are heard, along with the subtle, unmistakable sound of German 88s firing up at the bombers. The allies are here. As the transmitter gets set up, 2 men get hit by a sudden mortar barrage. There is nothing left of them. Finally however. The transmitter is set (don't worry about rolls...ima give you that) Another three men get peppered by the MG-42 fire. non Com: RETREAT! RETREAT! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! The surviving troopers start running back to a the rally point, a few miles back to the shoreline. ![]()
![]() Tired of waiting for liam we go now. attack rolls:
20d20 ⇒ (3, 7, 10, 16, 7, 14, 4, 16, 9, 7, 3, 10, 19, 5, 11, 15, 2, 13, 18, 9) = 198 enemy attack
17d20 ⇒ (10, 4, 5, 3, 17, 5, 18, 19, 2, 7, 17, 15, 8, 10, 1, 11, 14) = 166 Allies counter attack ok...so...erm... 20d100 ⇒ (72, 86, 28, 25, 12, 34, 2, 27, 1, 60, 75, 70, 14, 89, 20, 51, 84, 56, 43, 31) = 880 enemy luck of actually hitting you in the smoke and prone. 17d100 ⇒ (21, 94, 15, 53, 20, 54, 29, 4, 1, 37, 42, 67, 55, 87, 22, 20, 35) = 656 allies chance of hitting cuz of the smoke. Alright...thats a lot of numbers. BUT you guys are in luck, for the most part. The worst thing that happens in this first part of the charge is that one of the allies has his rifle shot right out of his hands, it is now useless. He has to resort to a pistol now. You advance 10 ft a round, OR I could skip you guys ahead, calculate the casualties as if you went the full 150 yards. Your choice. ![]()
![]() Non Com: What the hell machine guns you people talking about. We didn't jump with any .30 cals. POP SMOKE!!! All the allied soldiers pull out there smoke grenades and toss them into the open field. The Germans open fire, giving away they have MG42 placements there. the 16 soldiers pile over the fence and hit the deck. The soldiers start vanishing into the smoke so your not exactly sure where everyone is after that but you do know they are in a line ahead of you all. The number of Germans is unknown. And NOBODY is stopping to check. Before the non com goes he litterally, picks up roy and throws him over the fence before he has time to loot the allied soldier. Non Com: SIR QUIT WASTING TIME THE PLANES ARE ALMOST HERE! ![]()
![]() your "dream reality" is made by me. Based off what you told me you WANTED to be. Both characters will basically be a pathfinder DnD player. your "reality" character is to be built HOWEVER you want, based on what you want. As for your "Dream" character. What I give you (when I make it) will be what you play for that half of the game. ![]()
![]() It is another typical day in the world you live in. The smart kids get the good grades, the jocks get all the girls, and the punks are still causing all the trouble. All in all pretty boring. The first day of game will focus on introduction of your character along with a brief description of your talents. You are all classmates for the time being so enjoy it. WHILE IT LASTS MUAHAHAHAHAAHA! Im sorry did I say that out loud? Pay no heed to it. *innocent GM face activate.* ![]()
![]() You know. I think I will just take the 4 of you. Its not going to be a hard game necessarily but anyway. 4 is usually the magic number. If things get too hectic I can always throw myself in. So congrats guys. Can you all go dot the campaign for me please. I will have your champions ready in a moment. Go ahead and build level 1 "reality" characters to BEST FIT your chosen job. You have full control of your reality. ![]()
![]() Hello everyone. My name is GM Dormin. I am looking for some new players to take part in a little fun game that I am building that involves each player to actually make 2 characters. One character will interact in a "reality" like ours. They will go to school, participate in sports and extra after school activities. The setting would be high school, just for the laughs. HOWEVER what you are in this world will determine what you are in the "dream reality" where the fantasy characters will be. How this will work is you can be ANY of the fallowing:
Science nerd
As your character progresses through the "Dream" so will your character progress in "Reality" After a while you will find that you are quickly progressing over your peers over the specific things you do. I will (depending on what you are in reality) GIVE you, your class, abilities, race is up to you to decide. Warning: This kind of game is one you need to keep kinda...open minded. If you are the type of person who likes having EVERYTHING BY THE RULES, turn and run back to some other wimpy GM that will fallow every little rule. I bend the rules ever so slightly to make sense to me. If you want to know some of the house rules, here they are. House rules:
IF YOU ROLL A NAT ONE! DO NOT ROLL TO SEE IF YOU FUMBLE! this makes life easy on the player. I don't like watching players fall into there own swords and kill themselves thank you. I will be bringing in a SUB-GM to assist me in the event that I cannot continue the story for some degree of time. That about it. If I do not see anyone wanting to do this I won't feel bad. I am currently GM-ing 3 other crazy Homebrews right now. ![]()
![]() Marget/Roy: Troopers: Roger! The two troopers get up and one gets pelted in the head by a sniper...man the dice did not like that plan... the 2nd trooper drops back down behind the fence. Surviving trooper: Sniper keep your heads down. He called out loud enough for the rest of them to hear. Non-comp: To both Margit and Roy. We cannot sit here any more. They are probably getting mortars on us right now. In the distance the sound of airplanes can be heard moving in. Times up. Non-Com: g$& d$&nit we need to move... 1st through 3rd squads get ready to charge. We are out of time here. Weapons and ammo only. The other troopers begin dropping the more useless gear that they had for this. oh to answer the distance question. 300 yards of flat open field. the transmitter goes right in the middle of it. So really you only need to go 150 yards forward. Liam: In the distance your small force finds the main attack force huddled down by a fence near a field. Congradulations you found your comrades! there are three squads, 2 officers and 1 non com there. A total of 15 troopers. Add on Liam and his other 3 troopers that now makes 18 troopers standing at the ready. Keith: (really trying to push this along sorry guys. Im ready to get into the meat of the game. This is just the tutorial >:D *evil gm face activate*) Keith: you successfully patch up the scratch. Oshey: I heard a group was about to charge up ahead. Not a good idea for a lot of us to be bunched up like that but its where were spose to go. Come on if we hurry we can make it there in time. In fact YOU DO! you arive about the same time as Liam does. Now there is 20 total units for the assault, 3 being officers, 1 non com and 16 regular troopers. ALL OF THEM: (finally I can start putting you all in one section of post) Non-Com: Good to see you boys. ![]()
![]() The way is now lit and they can see that a new path, directly opposite of the entrance was created in the calamity. The wall completely fell apart, giving way to a new passage. All was quiet except for the talking of the heros, and a faint, thumping sound coming from said path. The bolders blocking the way out are far heavier then one would move (basically im not gonna let you out that way :3 gotta love your god for forcing you do do stuff right?) In the distance, the newest member of the party can see a treasure chest in the distance. Make a will save, to see if your over curiosity doesn't get the better of you. ![]()
![]() lets see...pull bolt back, put each bullet in individually...you have rapid reload? if not it should be...2 standard actions to completely ready the weapon. if it takes one move action to just pull the bolt back and forth, it takes time to put the 5 rounds in, no stripper clips for that thing you have to load them individually. 2 standard actions, if you have rapid reload I will reduce it back down to 1 standard action. ![]()
![]() Elisa/Jerico Elisa finds a nice, thick hedgerow that provides wonderful hiding cover, not much in stopping bullets but great for not wanting to be seen. You have a +5 to sneak now while using this for cover. Jerico, you see a woman dart somewhere and vanish from sight whatcha gonna do bout it? Other two: You do not get an AOO for this because of the blinkage this dog has. HOWEVER after rolling your 2 initiatives and the dogs, you actually end up going first so the attacks will apply. The second shot is the only one that connects and blood is seen from the dog now. It just looks more pissed off now actually. Frenchman take your round now, then dog, then curt then french then dog then so on and so forth. ![]()
![]() Margit at this very moment, you realize how bad the situation actually is. The only way to the spot in which you are told to place the transmitter, is right SMACK DAB in the middle of that field. You can also see defense forces inside the large hedge row, behind them through you don't know if there are more reinforcements there. In reality there is no way to have actually planned for this to happen. Liam, The major has no plans on him. You all were taught to memorize the plan to the letter before the jump. Anyway, there is nothing of use to the mission other then what ammo he may have been carring. Oh darn, he has 30-.06 rounds in stripper clips...you can't use stripper clips in your BAR. Keith, you think its a claw mark from a dog honestly. the wound is not disinfected or treated. Whatcha gonna do bout it? ![]()
![]() Seeing it has been a few days, and the fact I want to move us along a little bit I am forwarding the campaign by 2 days. Now then... The party stays within the safety of the cave as everyone heals, prepares and readies for travel. The ground begins to shake and tremble violently. The back of Wuuths cave suddenly collapses, revealing a new path leading underground. The way, is dark and dreary. The quaking halts and all seems quiet. Wuuth is no longer among you. He left the cave in search of food and provisions as he often does. A second quake erupts and a very loud cry is heard, one unlike anything you have heard before. The decibel is very low, and travels far. The cave entrance makes a strange cracking sound before suddenly large bolder after bolder clog up the entry way! The entrance is now shut. Darkness surrounds everyone. The pitch black of the cave is met with only the sounds of the travelers and small rocks, hitting the larger ones as everything settles. ![]()
![]() yah..never did. It was such a pain working the US guns that I didn't want to deal with the German ones YET. I will do that tonight for ya. Unless I said what the nazi's had (cuz I can't remember off the top of my head) roll a 1d4. 1= Kar98k 2 = MP40 3 = luger pistol 4 = Luger pistol + wooden stock that turns it into a sub machine gun. YES the luger could be a fully automatic pistol. :3 fun huh? ![]()
![]() Jericho/Woman:
The shot just a grazing hit but you see the man flinch something HORRABLE as the bullet scrapes across the side of his face. Blood starts escaping him and he begins freaking out enough where he drops the woman and makes a mad break for it. You see him vanish in the wilderness. Woman you are dropped and left alone now, well not really alone you know there is a sniper still out there who may or may not pelt you with a bullet giving your dressed as a German. A couple of guys who are screwed. (you know who you are): YES A NAZI DOG MUAHAHAHA! Curt is too focused on the Nazi symbol burned on the side of this very ANGRY looking dog. Frenchy on the other hand gets a little more out of it. The dog has a collar on that he sees the name (Insert German word here) if you know German tell me and I will tell you, if not it doesn't matter you don't know what it says anyway.
THEN THE DOG VANISHES! He re-apears right infront of curt and tries to take a nasty looking bite out of him! 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 to hit 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 if it hits. ![]()
![]() Keith:
You can see that Oshey was part of the 82nd. He was one of those guys who volunteered for this job. Oshey: Ya I got scratched by something a bit ago. He rolled up his sleeve to show something of claw marks on his arm. You would need a survival to figure out what it was. A know nature might also help. Margit/Roy:
your taking being shot very well Roy Margit you see a fence, beyond that is an open field.
Roy, your eyes adjust enough for you to catch the tracks of several small animals that were there before the fighting broke out. You can also see several footprints of Germans turning and heading back to said fence and open field that you also see. If memory serves, thats where the Transmitter goes. You also see a large hedgerow on the far side of the field. A text book ambush position. Liam: The first shot whiffs but the other two rip into the poor bastard that brings him down. It ended quickly. The burly rounds leave nice holes in the German. Feel free to loot at your leisure or keep going
