Lalali is up. Then the zombies.

Ok, Lalali decides to admire the scenery.

The zombies come piling up the stairs to the main deck. As they are limited to a single action per round and you can't charge up stairs (for a partial charge), that is all they can do. PCs are up.

'Time for a little payback' Ivar hops over the rail, "Sjøen ulv" roaring his battle cry in rage as he swings his axe overhead at the nearest walking dead, missing by a league he buries his axe head into the rotting deck.

Janz hits one for a bit of damage, and Ivar misses.

still need actions from Colonel and Lalali.

We seem to have some AWOLs.

Colonel tags his zombie, but it keeps shambling.

All three zombies go for the closest target (but only 2 can get to him-Ivar).

Ray of frost: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

'You must be kidding me, how am I missing these...' As Ivar is bent over pulling his axe out of the rotted shipboards he is slammed into by one of the approaching zombies. "ooof" 'that felt like it broke something, need to end this fast...'

"Aaarrrggghhh"clearly in pain, Ivar tears his axe loose and swings at the zombie that tried to run him over. or the nearest one if that one is dead.

Feeling the axe crush flesh and bone, gore covered he begins to laugh manically "Ha Ha Ha, now were even!" as he steps back looking for his next victim.

Not that it matters prob, but axes crit for x3, not x2..

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Dam: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The thrown trident misses.

Lelali zots a zombie with a bit of cold, then Ivar, now really riled, cleaves it in twain. The splatter is rather egregious.

Malok tags one with an arrow.

Those poor guys! Probably trapped there in a similar situation like us and now roaming their boat forever. Well untill now. Let´s free them and end their abominable unlife.

Whispering cold sounding arcane words, she targets the next zombie shambling around.
Ray of frost: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Her icy missile goes astray though melting in the warmer ocean.

It's not a new round yet, but I can hold that till next round.

Thanks for the reminder Malok, I was in a hurry. I need to keep that in mind in the future...

damage: 1d12 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 3 = 24

he he he, a total of 64 damage, is it fair to say that Ivar kicked the body about after he "cleaved it in twain"...

Colonel decides not act this round.

Zombies attack again.

Uuuuggghhh! finally stuck a blow worthy a seawolf, but that last attack may have finished me, I need to make this count. roaring his battle cry again; Sjøen ulv Ivar, his confidence returned, ripping his axe free of the mangled carcass, he swings it in a great arching blow, attempting to catch the zombie shambling past him then changing the angle of the blow slightly to strike at the zombie still near him.

Ivar, shouldn't you be unconscious after the second hit?

Malok steps back 5' and fires at the one he hit last round..

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Pointy arrows are not very good vs zombies..

first hit was for -10, second hit for -7, 16 HP/18HP raging, he was raging so he is at 1 HP when he stops he will be at -1 right?

Edit: Or am I missing something? If I remember right he healed from the constitution damage when they rested.

Janzadar will get behind Ivar and spontaneously cast Cure Light Wounds on the barbarian.
He heals: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

No, you are correct Ivar. Proceed.

You actually manage to drop both before collapsing atop the rotting bodies. Combat over.

M Halfling Rogue 2

"That was gross."

Ivar feels his axe take the zombie attacking Malok through the neck, its head dangling by a thread of skin, changing the angle slightly he catches the second undead in the shoulder almost cleaving it in twain, 'I am 'goldilocks'...a named man...a sea wolf...I will destroy...'

Realizing the threat was over Ivar releases the rage inside of him, feeling the result of the bone crushing attacks he suffered, he turns to his crewmates, pain in his eyes, "Help me!" As he drops to the rotting deck, his own blood mixing with the gore of his enemies.

stabilize: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 1 = 14

Hohoho Goldlöckchen! That was a mighty swing right there. Don´t exhaust yourself though!

Lalali looks over the half sunken ship for the way the zombies came.
Are you allright now? Shall we proceed and take a look? I hope it´s not all under water though.

Malok uses his heal spell on Ivar as well.

Heal: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The zombies came from down in the hold.

Searching the vessel (there are no other threats), you find
3d100 ⇒ (63, 53, 8) = 124 gp worth of stuff

As I am generally lazy, and at the moment sick, I let you pick that much stuff out of general merchandise which would be able to survive for 5+ years. If you would prefer to take it all in coin, you can.

Probaly some potions might be good, something like antidote or the like, maybe even a CLW potion?

Apparently an alchemist traveled on the boat as the group finds a box containing a vial of antitoxen, 2 vials of alchemist fire, a vial of acid, a smokestick and 2 sunrod's..

I did not say magic, I said general goods (so no potions).

I would think you might need something like tools (you know, a shovel or saw), but it's your choice. You do have to survive on this island for some time as far as you know.

None of those items are "magical". I just spent the 124. If someone else wants to add their 2 cents on items feel free..

Mh that´s all listed under mundane tools normaly, but nevermind, seems like i misunderstood. Probably some survival gear would be good then, like a shovel, rope, nets, cloth, etc. Even some cooking gear. But i think the 124gp are what we find overall, not per person?

Just as a reminder in our boat we found: a block and tackle, three large canvas sheets, two fishing nets, a grappling hook, two bullseye lanterns, 12 flasks of lantern oil, 150 feet of hemp rope, and five shovels. Then a dozen potions for emergency use: four potions of cure light wounds, a potion of cure moderate wounds, four potions of lesser restoration, a potion of remove disease, a potion of water breathing, and a potion of water walking.

124 is overall.

So, time to get back to base, carrying the loot, I guess.
Janzadar makes an effort to pack everything he is able, and tell the others it is time to get back to camp.

'Well, not dead at least, but these broken bones will be a problem. Returning to consciousness Ivar nods his head in agreement with Janzadar, using only his left hand he picks up his axe lifting it onto his shoulder."Yes, going to camp will be best, I will be almost useless in a fight until some of these broken bones heal."

Did you noticed Janzadar heal you some more a while back?

Janzadar wrote:

no I missed that thank you for the reminder!

On your way back you are ambushed by a vicious band of...

mosquitoes, but nothing larger for the moment. You camp 'followers' either greet you upon return (if you have established a positive relationship), or just grunt as you show up.

M Halfling Rogue 2

"Worry not fellow castaways. We have returned alive!"

And we bring along some goodies! What have you all been up to all day?

drbuzzard, about what time of day did we get back?

'May as well tell Sasha about the little flying lizards we found.' As they return to camp Ivar approaches Sasha "Hey Sasha we saw a nest that had one of those little lizards in it. We think it was an adult, but it was up a cliff and hard to see. If your going to make a pet of one does it need to be an adolescent or will an adult do?"

By the time you make it back to camp, it is late afternoon.

Sasha "Adults are fine. From what I understand, it is never too late to train them. "

Good! I will try to enchant one tomorrow and bring it here, so you can train it. Should we build a little cage for it? The enchantment will not last forever.

"Yes, a cage would be splendid. You are surely a fine batch of fellows. "

Lalali blushes a bit.
It´s nothing! Let´s start building one.
She starts to look out for sticks and rope to build a little cage.

What do you want for that? Assume she´s gonna prepare 2 charm person for the next day, all of her level 1 spells.
