Lalali-Re |
Lalali tries to make friends.
You´re happy to be shipwrecked? Well we´re probably all lucky to be alive and from what i heard that´s certainly better than being handed to chelish authorities...You´re welcome to jon and help us! Jask is your name you said? You can be certain we won´t report you to any authorities, we have other sorrows.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Gelik Aberwhinge, you seem like you should know some stuff! Can you tell us something about this island? Or how we got here? I mean look at you, a man able to keep his wardrobe in order even under such circumstances surely has something to contribute!
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
And what about you there with the beautyful sword? You seem like you can use it. Perhaps you could help us out as well and protect us?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
drbuzzard |
Jask: "Since my options were Sargavan jail or shipwrecked, you should understand my preference. I am more than willing to help if freed. "
Gelik:"Hmm, of course, one has to be hirsute. I'm sure you big tough people can take care of things while I think for a while. " he brushes you off somewhat.
The Last one just grunts and ignores you.
Colonel G.K. Walters |
sense motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13"I've no love for the Chelish 'authorities,' and to keep this man chained would be a death sentence. Colonel G.K. Walters at your service. My companions have slain some beasts, but danger surely lurks around every corner."diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
"Aerys, did you save any of your booze? I've two bottles of rather fine wine left and I believe I could use a drink."bluff: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22"And Miss Nevah, I would ... nevah wish to leave you out ...
Janzadar |
Janzadar will use the key to remove the manacles.
"We need to set up a camp, and explore the surrounding areas. Who is with me to explore? Who stays to set up camp?"
Malok, the East Wind |
Sry folks, busy en of week.. Malok is from Tien obviously.
Moving over to Ishirou.. "Well met good sir! It's been quite some time since I've seen someone from the motherland.. What brings you over here?"
drbuzzard |
It is getting fairly late into the afternoon.
The formerly manacled individual, Jask, thanks you profusely "I'll be quite glad to help. I can also heal people if necessary. "
Gelik and Ishiro are both pissed off after failed diplomacy checks.
Aery "Yeah, after that wreck, I could use a drink, but I got nothing. " she seems indifferent at this point.
Sasha warms up to the Colonel, "Why thank you good sir!" she seems friendly
Right now you have Jask and Sasha willing to help out exploring or other tasks, Aery willing to guard the camp, and two others who are ignoring you.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
Ivar nods to Janzadar, "I think having some explore while some stay near camp is a good idea. Shall we wait for the morning? By the time we get a fire and some of these crab-like sea creatures cooked it will be near sunset. We should finish this tent, gather some fire wood and assign a watch."
I think the team should stick together but let whatever npc's that want to stay at the camp do so.
After speaking to Janzadar Ivar turns to the freed prisoner, "Jask, we appreciate you being willing to help us, but you'll be little good dressed in rags, there is some gear here, see if you can find something you can use."
Then turning to Aery he asks. "Your hat reminds me a type worn by sailors I have worked with, have you ever been crew on a ship?"
diplomacy: Aery: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Janzadar |
"We need to make sure there is nothing dangerous nearby. Let me explore some 100 yards around, and return. After that we can set up watches. Good idea Ivar!"
He goes to explore the environs, accepting any person that want to come with him.
Malok, the East Wind |
Malok assists Janzadar in the immediate search..
Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
drbuzzard, did jask take any of the equipment?
Who wants to keep a list of the items we find and how are we going to claim them? Ivar would keep the MW shortword from the first mate, if no one needs it, he would give his original one to any npc that would want it.
Ivar shrugs, and smiles slightly, answering Aery, "Guess most of the people I met from Andoran were sailors, nice hat anyway."
Turning to go gather wood for the fire, calling back over his shoulder to the diminutive captain. "If you really have a bottle save me a little for the cold tonight, I will take the middle watch!"
He then goes into the nearby jungle, staying close enough to see the beach, looking for fallen wood.
survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
drbuzzard |
Jask will equip himself with armor and a simple weapon.
The people who aren't babes in the woods (who made good survival rolls), can find some fruit trees in the area, and there are some signs of predation in the area. Given the way the tracks are, probably flying predators. Most of the game is fairly small.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
Ivar returns to the camp with an armful of driftwood and dried branches for the fire. He then returns to the edge of the jungle for some pineapple and coconuts that he noticed in nearby trees. Dropping these near the firewood he states the obvious. "Plenty of fruit trees nearby, I think the tent is a good idea, it seems that flying predators are the biggest threat, though most of the game is fairly small."
Breaking open one of the coconuts with his sax, he drinks the milk, wiping off his bearded chin with his shirtsleeve, he asks, "Who wants to take the first watch?"
any reason not to move on to tomorrow?
drbuzzard |
Depends on how long you just looked around for. It was already late afternoon and you have neither shelter set up nor a pile of firewood. Those are not something you whip up in a couple minutes.
(an armload of driftwood is a few minutes, you need a substantial pile if you intend to have a fire through the night).
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
In a couple of post I had Ivar working on making a rough tent from the canvas, do you want survival roles for the shelter? He then started gathering food and wood, I sort of assumed that he would do that till dusk that's why he asked about watches for the night again.
Smiling to himself as he gathered more wood. This is a little to much like being on the farm, at least I never minded chopping firewood, it gave me an excuse to swing the axe."
After dropping of the load of firewood, he combs the beach for more driftwood. Staying within view of the camp he gathers several more armloads until dusk settles in.
Malok, the East Wind |
Malok helps gather firewood and offers to take middle watch when the moon is up..
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
Ivar nods his head, "So we have the colonel on the first watch, myself and Malok on the second watch and Lalali-Re with Janzadar on the third watch." Turning to their fellow castaways he asks. "Aery and Jask would you mind keeping watch with the Colonel, and Sasha would you mind taking the morning watch with Lalali-Re and Janzadar?'
After eating a bit of the fruit and seafood, Ivar places his bedroll at the edge of the camp, just within the campfires light asking the Halfling. "Colonel would you wake me when your shift is over please?' He then bunks down for the night.
drbuzzard |
It seems to be something walking through the jungle in your direction, and whatever it is, there is no attempt to be stealthy.
In fact there seems to be a few things.
I should be clear, that was your action, Malok gets one also.
Sleeping people can make a DC 10 perception check to be woken up by the noise.
Janzadar |
Perception Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Janzadar grabs his trident, and looks towards the noise.
I guess we haven't recovered spells or daily abilities, right?

Lalalis face goes wide as she recognizes the human silhouettes as undead.
As if i knew it! What else moves that carelessly through the bushes at night? Every sane person would carry light or be sneaking! Quickly, take them down and don´t let them bite you! Or worse: me!
