I've been thinking over the past week that it would be easier for me to use Roll20.net for maps.
Once set up I'd be able to update the maps with my tablet/phone.
Would this make viewing/updating the maps harder for anyone?
I'm good on it, but I know a lot of people who check games at workplaces can't do Roll20 due to firewalls and such.
I can view them, it just has to be quick looks. I can't stay on them for a prolonged period of time.

Google Slides does that too. I upgraded a game I run from Google Draw (I think that's what it is called) to Google Slides and I've found that it is usable on most phones too. Also players don't have to log into it.
The fact that I can rearrange the slides and keep reoccurring maps like "Campsite" and "Marching Order" helps too. Side Note: I compulsively collect game maps and have some for the "Silver Banshee" if you like.
In-game sample. Note: this is an actual in-progress Kingmaker game please don't move stuff on any slide except the very last one--on which I recreated our current map. That last page (slide 8) is there for people to play with on their phones and such.
I'm not horribly against the change-over (Roll20 has tools for status effects and such), I'm just not a fan of more passwords and having to log-in all the time.
Oh, and as another Side Note: GM Kip, putting the map link (to where ever) in your tag line would be a time-saver, especially when posts get near the bottom of the page.

Well, I checked out google slides and it seems alright. With the app downloaded I can move things about with my iPad. So we'll give that a go for now, as long as that works for everyone. Thanks Nomi.

Sorry I was not there to assist, too much to chew on at once I had to let some things go.
Part of the reason I have so much to chew is that I run numerous games here on the boards, including a Star Wars Saga game set in the Legacy era.

Hey Nomi, did you want to have a conversation with Kalus about the Felucian Shaman's hut, or can Kalus get away with pretending it didn't happen?
Aside from spending force points Kalus hasn't really shown any real affinity for using the force (at least that I remember reading). She suspects he might be sensitive, but there are a lot of sensitives who never develop their abilities beyond that. She might ask, but she's not really in the right place to offer much in the way of guidance yet. If/when Kalus actively uses the force in some fashion, Nomi'll take more interest, but right now she's not even sure she wants to use the force.
Excellent, then Kalus shall pretend it didn't happen, since he is completely uncomfortable with that "Jedi stuff" and doesn't particularly like the Jedi anyway.

Might be away for a day or two. My mom semi-expectantly passed in the middle of the night last night. 'Semi-expectantly' because she was nearly 80 (a month to go), and last week it was a particularly tough one on her (she had dementia, terrible memory issues, and reoccurring problems relating to her childhood polio).
I am so sorry for your loss Great Green God. Take all the time you need.

Thanks for sticking with the game everyone :) sorry if it's been a little slow in the past couple of weeks. When I played through Darga's palace as a player I found it hard to know what to do etc, but then again I was playing a Rodian soldier with a heavy Blaster Rifle for a brain... XD
Russell's player has expressed an interest to rejoin the game so I'll be trying to work him back into the story.

Alright, cool. For this level Avizzi gains 6 HP, a Destiny Point, and his Force Points reset to 7 total. (I should start using those more often.) He'll also take Stay Up (from Scum and Villainy, page 24) as his bonus feat--useful, and feels fitting given what's just happened!
EDIT: I forgot, we get ability increases here! I'll increase Dexterity and Constitution, which also nets me more HP. Also increasing skills.

Nomi works out and is rewarded with increases to Str, and Con. She gains 6 + 3 (for the Con bump) worth of hit points (class average rounded up + Con bonus), and picks up Block as a Talent.

Kalus has been shot enough that he gets better at dodging and shrugging off hits, increasing his Dex and Con. He gains 4+2=6 HP, and for a bonus feat, Kalus gains Careful Shot, because he's getting really good at aiming.

No worries about staying warm in the land down under! It's more staving off boredom and realising just how much of my entertainment is tied to the internet/power...
They're building a new phone tower nearby. Hopefully when that is finished we'll finally have mobile phone reception. The crazy thing is that I live in the suburbs, 20 minutes from a city center! I'm not even in a rural area.

Hey guys, I just want to say sorry for the slow pace of the game lately, there are a couple of contributing factors,
1) being that my PbP commitments are a little out of control, ever since I started running a third game I've had trouble getting to all my games each day. That game is almost finished though, so things should get a little better soon.
2) the second factor I think, is that I've had to change my work hours a little to help with the kids at home. Two of my kids have minor disabilities and my wife needed help getting them ready in the mornings for school, that's meant that I've been starting later and finishing later.
Anyhow things will hopefully pick up soon! If you see me applying for any games in the recruitment thread feel free to tell me to rack off! XD
