Kalus, still annoyed at Nomi, finds himself having trouble sleeping. Unable to do so, he gets up and hooks his code cylinder to his data pad to see if he can get into the programming. Being able to move about unnoticed was the key to accomplishing their mission.
Grinning in triumph as he succeeds at disabling the tracking component, Kalus pops a fresh power pack into his blaster while he recharges the one he'd used during the gladiatorial bout today, then tucks it under his pillow as he goes back to sleep, pleased with the success of his plan.
[B]"Sorry kid, I don't know what she found out, she wouldn't discuss it over the Holonet... and as far as names go I only have Varta, like I said he was a high up in the imperial navy an Admiral... maybe it was Varce... oh and her target, I remember his name, Captain Jaedon Emerys but he's most likely dead or so deep in hiding that even the best of GenoHaradan can't find him. Best just to keep your nose out of it. Don't poke the gundark...
In the early morning as Kalus tucks his code cylinder under his pillow and lies back closing his eyes he hears the soft sound of a hydrospanner coming from the common room...
Eyes snapping open, Kalus tucks the code cylinder into a pocket then grabs his blaster and moves to the door. Standing to the side of the door, Kalus slaps the button to open it before aiming his blaster at whoever is in the common room, flicking on the light and saying, "I'm getting real tired of people wandering in in the middle of the night."
Flicking on the lights Kalus sees three Quarren in grey robes. One kneels at the door to Nomi's room and is working on removing the access panel to break in, another stands ready to pass tools while the third is keeping a look out. As Kalus speaks they spin around to face him drawing vibroblades from the folds of their robes!
Kalus fires his blaster at the Quarren with the hydrospanner and says, "The smart play right now is to surrender before you all end up as fried squid."
I guess it's up to you. You don't have any knowledge skills that would apply so probably not.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Jedi Starfighter I'll take a look at the link later.
I'll update the gameplay thread a little later too...
Nomi enters a force trance in order to heal up a bit and to get last night's dinner off her mind.
"I'll take your silence as a no. At any rate, they are hardened killers... Above my abilities to deal with but ahhh not yours.
I'd like to learn a few tricks from you. No need to answer me right now but think on it as you sleep, or whatever it is you people do..."
Russel takes his leave to get some rest after the beating he took in the arena, even medical attention is not the same as natural sleep.
Nomi crouches next to her door, loghtsaber ready to cut down any foe who breaks in!
Kalus fires his blaster pistol, the red bolt of sizzling energy burns into the Quarren's shoulder. He winces with pain, and clutches at the wound.

The shot Quarren ducks back down and continues to work on the access panel but doesn't seem to be making much headway with the wiring... while his ally moves to cover him.
Everyone is awoken by the sound of blaster fire in the common room!
Kalus sighs in annoyance. "You know, just once, I'd like to see you people do the smart thing and surrender. It would be really nice, you know?"
Kalus then fires his blaster into the Quarren threatening him with a vibroblade.
Russel will grab his blaster and head to the door, opening it to se what the commotion is.
For a moment, Taril is still dreaming, the colorful fireworks celebrating her latest success ringing in her ears. Then, she picks up Kalus' voice among the explosions...no...blaster blasts!!
Grabbing her blaster she sprints to the door and triggers the opening mechanism, poking her head out to see what was going on.
"What's going on? " she aske no on in particular, noticing right away the Quarrens, "Hey, you're not supposed to be here! "

Nomi hearing the shouts and blaster fire allows the force to guide her hands.
She lights her blade and sends its point straight through the wall into the would-be interloper.
Kalus fires of a blast that hits the Quarren in front of him directly in the chest! The Quarren is burnt pretty bad but is still up but obviously in pain!
Russel grabs his blaster and runs for the door slapping the access panel. The door slides open revealing Kalus squaring off against some grey robed Quarren.
Taril does the same.
Suddenly a bright blue lightsaber blade stabs through the access panel from inside Nomi's room burning a neat sizzling hole straight through a Quarren's head!!
Avivvi grabs his slugthrower and runs to his door.
Red leaps away from Nomi's wall, looking in shock at the blue blade that just killed his ally, in a split second decision he races down the length of the dining table to hang up on Kalus with his other ally...
He misses but his ally (Green) slices out at Kalus with his vibrio sword and nicks Kalus's lower arm.
Kalus grits his teeth as the Quarren cuts him, then feels a bit of dread as he feels poison begin to enter his bloodstream. I need to end this fast. He then pumps another blaster bolt into the same Quarren.
Kalus pumps another blaster bolt straight into the face of Quarren that cut him! The alien would be assassin drops to the floor his face a burnt mess!
Kalus looks at the final Quarren. "If you surrender and tell us who sent you, you'll be a lot better off."
Nomi opens the door takes three steps and then running force jumps the length of the room landing behind the assassins.
Russel clicks his blaster to stun and fires!

Avizzi takes stock of the situation, sees the final Quarren, and decides to put a round in his leg. Slugthrowers don't have stun settings, but a leg shot probably won't be fatal... and on the plus side, it'll hurt.
Nomi closes in on the last Quarren with upjncredible speed and a massive leap.
Russel runs into the common room, firing a set of blue stun rings at the Quarren. The rings fly past the Quarren, missing...
Avizzi shoots his slugthower with a loud boom, aiming to wound the Quarren in the leg. The Quarren lets out an Alien warbling squeal as the hot slug rips through its leg.
Taril runs out of her room, also setting her blaster to stun and pumps it into the assassin! He jerks, his eyes rolling back as his body slumps awkwardly to the ground.
Each Quarren is wearing a combat jumpsuit under their robes, a vibroblade and an empty vial. A security tool kit is laid out by Nomi's door...
Kalus slumps back against the wall, allowing himself to feel the dizziness from the poison. "That Bith doctor is really going to hate us after this. Someone tie this guy up so we can interrogate him." The lower part of his left sleeve is clearly staining with blood, but he seems to be bearing the pain well.
He looks at Nomi. "You know who probably sent them, right?"
Russel remains quiet awaiting Nomi's response. He does pick up the security tool-kit by her door though. "Nice kit".
"Igrin.... Let's go somewhere we can talk."
As Kalus slumps against the wall, he begins to feel truly ill. Sweat beads on his forehead as the room seems to sway.
Kalus suddenly sways on his feet and says, "You know, I think we should put the talk on hold, and get that Bith doctor up here sooner rather than later. I think their blades were poisoned."
The doctor is called, but Kalus is fading quickly as the poison burns through his veins! The Bith strides in in a business like manner, making a face as he notes the dead Quarren assassins. He sets a bag down next to Kalus and starts getting equipment out, and works quickly and efficiently to neutralise the poison.
After a few minutes Kalus's breathing eases and the doctor starts packing hos gear back up. "You all need to be careful where you tread here or you'll wind up dead, and I'll wind up dead for helping you!" He says as he stands and then strides out of the door with out another word.
About 10 minutes later Kalus comes to feeling very weak... The stunned Quarren still lies unconscious on the floor...
Taril doesn't realize how worried she looked as the doctor tended to Talus, pacing a bit back and forth, her lekku swaying.
She waves off the doctor's warning, kneeling beside Talus until hie wakens, then she realizes what kind of scene she's presenting, and she vaults up and leans more casually against the wall, "Feeling better ? "
Kalus sits up and nods in answer to Taril's questions. "Ugh...geez, poisoned blades now? That's just kriffing great. We need to get finished up and get out of here." Sitting against the wall, Kalus gestures towards the Quarren with his blaster. "Someone want to wake Sleepy here up so we can find out where the main data storage is? That way we can grab the data and get out of here tonight."
"Agreed." Avizzi steps over to the Quarren and plants a foot squarely in his stomach, repeating as necessary until the would-be assassin comes to. At that point, Avizzi pointedly sticks his slugthrower barrel-first in the Quarren's face, and looks to the others, figuring they might prefer to do the talking.
Russel keeps out of the way knowing that whatever his allies are involved in, he'd just be in the way stepping in right now.
The Quarren stirs, his black eyes suddenly widening at the proximity of Avizzi's slugthrower barrel then they narrow defiantly as he quickly glances around the common room...
"You might as well kill me now, I'll tell you nothing!"
Sighing, Kalus stands up and walks over to the Quarren. "You know, I've always wondered why everyone says that. Do they think they're being tough, or is it just stupidity? Because there are degrees of difference in death. You see, we could just have our friend her put a slug in your head, ending it. Or, alternative, we can break every one of your fingers and toes, causing you excruciating agony until you answer our questions. If that doesn't work, well, I don't know how many bones are in the Quarren body, but I'm willing to break all of them. Third option, we don't bother asking you questions and hand you over to Darga to deal with. I mean, we are favored guests, and this is the second time someone's attempted to assassinate us in hos palace. How merciful do you think he'll be?" Kalus smiles at the Quarren, carrying on in a casual, conversative tone. "Or, you answer our questions, and maybe, just maybe, you might get to live through this. Now, let's start with the easy one. Did Igrin Demos tell you why he sent you?"
Nomi quietly observes from her position leaning against the wall.
