Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Here and ready to go.
I'm switching my bonus skill from Gather Information to Knowledge (tactics). We seem to have information gathering very well covered.

RED FIVE STANDING BY.
I just need to possibly spend more money but also maybe just hang on to a bunch of it.
Hanging on to a bunch of credits would not be a bad plan ;)
Avizzi the Strange
Hey all, checking in. I believe my character is ready to go at this point, if there are any glaring issues let me know. Put the extra skill in Gather Information as it fit the concept of the urban hunter, learning about his social environment.
Russel Wilcox
Few more adjustments and I will be done.
Turns out I did buy my equipment, good to go.
GM Kip
Alright lets begin!
if Spazmodeus hasn't checked in in 24 hrs I'll pm them.
GM Kip
@ Virssl, sorry I left off a bit of code at the end of Russels spoiler and yours got stuck in there... It's fixed now!
GM Kip
Droids are immune to stun.
GM Kip
Yep At the moment there are two stormtroopers firing on Avizzi and 6SYL's position and one of the imperial informants firing at Avizzi and 6SYL.
Russel and Kalus are also aware of a third informant who took full cover behind a crate a ways off and hasn't surfaced again.
All enemies are within pistol point blank range.
The two active informant guys are spread out from each other but the stormtroopers are standing together.
Hope this clears things up.
EDIT: There's only one active informant guy... The other was just shot down by Kalus.

Every body gains 100 exp.

What's everyone up to for the weekend?
I'm getting together with the local group tonight for the first time in forever! We'll be continuing our Rise of the Runelords game which we haven't played in ages. Before December we were playing a Dnd5e homebrew I'm running. December was pretty much a write off gaming wise... I'm hyped!
Russel Wilcox
My next table top game is in early March it is on hold till my friends' baby is 6 weeks old. I give my players some paternity time so they won;t miss games and then start up again :-)
This weekend is just a playdate on Saturday and a visit with grandma, a s!$$ ton of work Saturday night, and as much PbP as I can get in :-)
Avizzi the Strange
I got in a session with my regular home group on Thursday evening, new game's first session. Other than that, looking forward to the coming weekend, when I'll be back with my groups at school.
Kip84
I don't usually game weekends, too busy with the family, do have a Thursday night Cthulhu game running though.
Cthulhu! Awesome. I've never had much of a chance to play it. Just a one off, one time. It was a lot of fun though.
My old group used to do Wednesday nights, the next day at work was always rough but it was better I think. When I moved towns I couldn't find any groups meeting on week nights. I played in a pathfinder group that was on Sunday's during the day but that was hard on the family. So now I play Saturday nights fortnightly :)

One of my mates has a baby due in April and mine is due in May! We are the main GMs in our group so it's gonna be a few dead months in the middle of the year :P
I generally take 6-8 weeks off gaming when there's a new addition to the family.
This will be kid number 5!
I've got Three girls (15, 8, 6) and a boy (4). Bub number 5 is another girl. My boy was pretty upset when we told him :D

My face to face group are... old guard (I'm the baby of the group, a good decade+ younger than everyone else) so we tend to play older systems, Call of Cthulhu and AD&D2E are the mainstays.
Personally I prefer systems with a bit more tinkering, but maybe I'm getting old because I no longer find Pathfinder style character optimisation fun, though my OCD still makes me scour books to find "just the right option". trying to let go a bit more and just enjoy games.
We stopped at 2 children (always the plan - though it's probably a bit far to say we planned our kids).

1 person marked this as a favorite.
I just have one girl. Wanted a second one but the wife has her own company so that is her other baby. I fill that void with dogs! Have two great danes and trying to talk the wife into a third :-)
My buddy wants to cut the break short as he's itching to play again (they all just leveled). It's a 3.5 game based in Waterdeep.
I run a Cthulhu game here on the boards if anyone drops Kip I'll keep you in mind!
I also run a Vampire V20 game (my main game here on the boards), about to start a Star Wars Saga game set in the Legacy Era, a 5E Ravenloft game, and three Pathfinder games.

Star Wars Saga Edition, set at the end of the Clone Wars. The session saw them as a strike team that ended a battle, and the end of the session was Order 66. The looks on their faces when the team's clone commando had a Will Defense check were well worth the setup.
I think I may be the young'un of this group here, with all the baby talk. I'm about to turn twenty and in college, so not looking at anything like that any time too soon, hah.

I'm about to be 30 and am still doing my best to avoid the baby thing, haha.

Post incoming... It's been a busy work day.
Russel Wilcox
I'm gonna lurk in your Cthulhu game if that's alright Russel.
I'm only in my early 30s myself. Started early I guess. I always wanted to be a dad. Had a head start too as my wife already had a daughter when I met her.
Sure feel free!
It starts innocuous enough but soon bad things wil start to happen :-)

It's Australia Day down here, I've been a bit busy this morning. I'll try to get a post up tonight.
Russel Wilcox
First day of school for the kids today after their 6 weeks of summer holidays :) and my little boy is going to his new preschool. There's still an hour till we leave but they're all waiting at the door.
Cute :-)

Everyone gains 100 exp points for successfully negotiating with Switch.

Ok let's talk taking a knee. As there is no actual rule for it (that I found). I'll treat it as half prone.
Free action to take a knee, Swift action to stand again.
You have a -2 penalty to melee attacks and:
-2 penalty to ranged attacks against you, +2 bonus to melee attacks against you.
I'll put this house rule in the Campaign Info tab.
I'll also post the errata for Stun damage there.
Your post was a little confusing. When you fire a blaster you have to decide between stun and lethal. It's a Swift action to swap between these weapon modes.
Also your stun damage should be the same as the lethal damage (3d4)
When you shoot someone with stun the full damage is compared to their damage threshold. If the damage is greater the target drops two steps down the condition track.
Then the damage is halved and subtracted from the targets hit points.

Sounds good, with nowhere to go just looking to make myself a smaller target!

I'm unable to post today, my apologies. I'll make a post tomorrow.

no worries Virssl!
Sorry about the slightly later post today. Had a rough one, ate my lunch a 3pm while driving between jobs...

Work has been tough for me lately as well, trying to keep up during the day as best I can this week.

Just to let everyone know I'm having some internet dramas.
Also how are we going? Is everyone enjoying the game?
I know this first part just feels like a series of shootouts but once you get off the station it gets a bit better.
