Western Room.

A small stone bench sits in the center of this dusty chamber. On the far wall is a faded mural depicting the hero Kassen defeating the mercenaries at the entrance to this crypt, with his blade piercing the chest of the mercenary leader. These figures stand alone in the center of a scene of carnage, with dead villagers and mercenaries all around them.

I don't see anything in the room. I guess we're going to meet our new friends in the hallway. Everyone take a look and see if you can figure out what might trigger them.

Talondreal notices that both Kassen and the mercenary leader are wearing golden necklaces, each made up of a simple golden chain, from which hangs an oddly shaped medallion. While not identical, the amulets look similar.

Those looking down the hallway aren't able to find any triggers or other methods, but are fairly certain that the reason those sets of blades which are wrapped, is that you will be struck by them.

Dragall begins walking through the corridor, but just before stepping in between the second set of statues, he sees a pressure plate, which looks like it is what would cause the statues to swing their swords.

Retcon:
It was then that your GM realized... he had been wrong for a very long time. UGH. Okay, so... retcon, the rooms I got switched around here. You're passing FROM the fountain room, past the statues, TO the room I'm about to describe. And I'm wrong. Again. I apologize for this mistake, and I thought something looked wrong, but I failed to re-check my map, assuming rooms would be in order.

There would be a roll of some sort to avoid the pressure plate. Jump DC 5, you cannot take 10, or a disable on the trap.

One half of this lofty chamber has a lowered floor, with stairs on either side to reach the bottom. Standing opposite the door is a tall wooden statue of Kassen grasping a gigantic wooden shield in each hand. One of the shields is inscribed with the word “home,” while the other reads “family.”

The big map is much appreciated, but it looks like Dragall is about to enter the room where we dived down to get the key at the bottom of the well. Is that accurate? In any case, Kara follows her new best friend Dragall whereever he goes.


As I mentioned in spoiler, the room at the right with the fountain is where the diving took place. I made an error in corresponding rooms to room numbers.
