Somewhere in the acid and fire fest, Obi walks down the stairs.


With the wendigo dead, Silas wins the silent confrontation with his brother in 10 minutes, at which point Karivek’s ghost suddenly relaxes and sighs. His teeth return to normal and his feet grow back before he fades away into nothingness. Silas turns to face the PCs, his expression now at peace but not without an element of sadness. His final words to the PCs before he fades are a warning.

“You have saved my brother. You have saved me. I should reward you by simply taking the path to Xin-Shalast with me into the beyond, yet I sense that you still harbor a desire to see those golden ruins. Very well. Look to the pages of my ledger for the way, and may Torag watch over you in the darkness to come...”

As he finishes speaking, Silas fades away as well. As he does, several parchment pages appear and float lazily to the ground. These are the missing five pages from Silas’s ledger from area B13, and they provide exacting details on the route to Xin-Shalast.

The first step for the PCs, according to the Vekkers’ directions, is to continue traveling up the Kazaron River until they reach the second tributary. The ledger identifies this river as the legendary River Avah, yet it also says the winding route between the Kodar Mountains is not one for the faint of heart. There are no banks to walk along and the river itself often rises in cataracts of up to 300 feet in height as it climbs ever higher into the mountains. The waters of the River Avah are freezing cold, yet they themselves never freeze. As the PCs follow the river upstream, the air grows thin and the sky a deep blue. From leaving the Kazaron to the point just south of the Icemists.
Eventually, the PCs reach the River Avah’s source— a frozen swampland shrouded in glittering clouds of ice crystals known as the Fen of the Icemists. Yet even then they find no indication of the ruined spires of Xin-Shalast. Here, the ledger tells the PCs they must fast and wait for a night with a full moon, whereupon the remainder of the route is made clear to them, for here is the edge of Leng’s otherworldly influence upon Golarion.

So you know, you are getting to be a stupidly high altitude (15k feet0. By the rules you will get really boned unless you have some means to breathe since there's simply not enough air.

Yep, those would solve the issue. I can't really think of much else, but there's so many magic items now it's hard to tell.

I dont have a O2 tank unfortunately and Yap does not have Life Bubble spell.. He has Air Bubble, but that only lasts minutes per level. If the city is at 15k than we prob have to return to buy protections..

"We seek the entrance to Xin-Shalast.. And perhaps some supplied air.."


She is willing to provide you with a safe place to recover here in her lair, and she can prepare life bubble up to six times a day which will last 30 hours each.

She says Xin Shalast is on the peak of the Mhar Massif. To get in there, you have to be protected against chaos or a method to see things for what they really are since it is somewhat enmeshed with Leng. (she doesn't know about the fasting method).

She doesn't have any life bubbles prepared today though.
