Dorin Zstel |
Stabilization roll 1d20 ⇒ 11
Uh, guys? Dorin's, like, -12 hp or something. A single hit point for stabilization would probably save the character from permanent death right now. Danaris? Spare the sorcerer a healing touch, if you would.
robin, if this is my stabilization roll what was that natural d20 I rolled with the natural d10 earlier? Just curious.
'Gar' Duncrick |
Round 2, Init. 12 (after Kast)
"Keep him pinned between us!"
[ooc]Gar delayed till Kast had moved last round, so he goes just after Kast now. But I will put up this rounds actions, assuming the Kast shifts to keep up a possible flank. Gar will shift too.
Gar deftly adjusts to keep this creature at a disadvantage and then swings his adze. He seeks an advantage, clearly seeing the creatue is upset with Kast.
Flanking Adze Attack -> 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 2 = 24
Adze Damage -> 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Sneak Attack Damage -> 1d6 ⇒ 6
"That should get your attention!" Booya!
Kast Phaer |
Kast, having fought with Gar before, knows to work with partymate to take down the creature quickly.
Move: 5' step to R6, when wait for Gar to distract his foe from behind.
Standard Action: Beat face with the Morningstar.
1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 = 14 to hit;
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 damage.
AC: 19
HP: 10/10
Weapon: M'star
Status: Worried for Dorin

Spells cast: 2 of 4
Kast Phaer |
I can give Dorin one temporary hp with Virtue. Otherwise, I'm out of spells. I can channel still, but that's generally a poor idea with still breathing opponents.
Solutions that may keep him alive may include, but are not limited to:
1) Moving to L9 and channeling so that the burst doesn't get the bad guy.2) Performing a HEAL CHECK to stabilize.
3) Just bursting to keep your friend alive and let the fighting types take care of the bad guys, if worst comes to worst.
4) Saying something in character to Kast that makes the situation known.
I think we have a few rounds to work something out, but I could be wrong. By my estimation, Dorin is about -8 to -10 with a -12 clock. Unless I'm wrong Dorin, I'm not worried yet. :(
EDIT: You have selective channel? That'll work too. :)
Zees |

Or you could use your selective channel feat to exclude the 2 monsters. :-)

Round 3 initiative
Zees 20
M2 15 ( hp taken 22)
Danaris 15
M1 = 13 (hp taken 2 )
Kast 12
Gar 12
Dorin 10
Malcolm 3
M2 is near death but that does not stop him from trying to take Kast with him
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 121d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Danaris's turn to act
Gar please not that you can not take a five foot step to S5 due to the cells bar
Dorin Zstel |
Lying facedown in a pool of his own blood as well as the dust of centuries, Dorin appears to stop bleeding out (-12+6=-6 hp?). His form, however, apart from the slight movement of breathing, does not stir.
(Next time, I'm asking for an AOO with my 1d4 spiked gauntlets. Tick tock on the Dancing Lights!)
Kast Phaer |
Good communication, thanks. M1 goes next, then Kast and Gar then.
On his turn, Kast will attempt to imitate Gar and dance and spring from R6 to Q4.
Acrobatics to tumble: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (2) - 6 = -4
Yeah, I get an AoO.
When in Q4, Kast will ready to strike when Gar gets into flank.
Swinging with the Morningstar:
1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7 to hit;
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage.
Yep, double 1s on the rolls. Definitely worth the AoO. :( But maybe Gar will pick me up!
'Gar' Duncrick |
Round 3, Init. 12
Of all the things Gar expected Kast to do, flopping on his belly at the feet of the creature was not it. But the antics provide a distraction and Gar takes advantage. He steps up and swings. 5' adjust to S6 for flank.
Flanking Adze Attack -> 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 2 = 22
Adze Damage -> 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Sneak Attack Damage -> 1d6 ⇒ 2
Dropping the creature, he looks to Kast with a wide smile that is all teeth, "You have a hard enough time staying on your feet, leave the tumbling to me. Let's go, one more to take down!"
Kast Phaer |
Though a gritty smile, Kast replies "I gave you the distraction you wanted, right? Isn't the important thing?"
Kast looks toward his next opponent (if this one is indeed down).
Zees |
Round 4, Init 20
I doubt Dorin or Malcolm's actions will change mine.
Spells used: Mage Armor, Grease, Sleep(from ring).
Spells/abilities remaining: Color Spray, Acid Splash x2, Hand of Apprentice x3 after this one
Zees will step back 5' if necessary and again fling his dagger forth using the hand of apprentice at the remaining monster. I really need to get something better to use for this.
-4 into melee
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
1d4 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Kast Phaer |
Kast will limp from Q4 to N5, risking an AoO from M1 in an effort to take this opponent down quickly.
When there, he will wait for Gar to get into position (flank) before striking.
Swinging with the M'star:
1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 2 = 25 to hit;
1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 damage.
Zees |
Round 5, Init 20
HP = 9/9; AC=16 (mage armor).
Spells used: Mage Armor, Grease, Sleep(from ring).
Spells/abilities remaining: Color Spray, Acid Splash x2, Hand of Apprentice x2 after this one
The creature runs past Zees, who is tempted to let it go after they way it took down Dorin, but he worries about the reinforcements it might bring. Zees moves to P9 and again flings his dagger using Hand of the Apprentice.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0=1
'Gar' Duncrick |
Gar will double move to P10 unless the stairs count extra. Trying to keep him in view. "The bastard in getting away! Damn coward...damn fast coward. <pant>" He will switch the adze to his left hand while moving and pull a hand-axe from his belt.
Dorin Zstel |
Dorin dreamed of the quiet days in the Varisian caravan, of traveling from town to town, having celebrations when they met with another caravan on the dirt road, of the simple life. Being trained in magic by the caravan's master. Those days seemed like they would last forever.
Malcolm Cavendish |
Round 4, Initiative 3
Malcolm moves to Dorin's side and uses what little skills he has to aid his wounds.
Hang in there young fella! May Abadar bless your soul.
Heal (First Aid): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Danaris Krupt |
Danaris tries to assist Malcolm.
Heal (aiding Malcolm): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
"I can ask Erastil to aid Dorin again, but I feel that I already taxing my abilities. I believe that Kast might be able to help Dorin," Danaris says to Malcolm.
I'm at three channels for the day.
robin |
Some of you run after the creature who cintinue fleeing south ? Gar see it taking the corridor in Q17 while for the others the lack of light begins to be a problem
Nonetheless Kast hear it shouting while moving
There are some problem to update the map . I'll do it later
Kast Phaer |
Kast will relate what the monster was saying as he moves.
"I think we should expect company, let's get to where we last saw it and prepare."
When he gets to Dorin, he imagine a perfect, healthy Dorin in his mind. He overlays that image while touching Dorin, superimposing the images.
Cast Cure Light Wounds on Dorin. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 healing.
EDIT: And again:
Cast Cure Light Wounds on Dorin. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 healing.
AC: 19

'Gar' Duncrick |
Not wanting to get cut off, Gar is going to go to P18 and lay in wait for anything entering the intersection while waiting for the other to get clear of the jail.
Stealth -> 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Malcolm Cavendish |
Once Dorin is up...
Good work Kast! Let's catch up with Gar and Zees and position ourselves accordingly.
Malcolm makes his way to Gar, and takes up a position next to him in preparation for what will come.
