Background:
Dorin Zstel was born to a traveling Varisian caravan under a lucky star, the unusual lock of white among his black hair showing him to be a special child, and trained in ancient Thassilonian by the caravan's Harrower. The child grew and would have become a powerful mage if brigands had not destroyed the caravan, killing everyone but the boy who had hid in the tall grass. The bandit leader was wearing full plate with differently marked gauntlets, something Dorin marked to memory. Dorin then wandered the roads until he came to Sandpoint, where he was taken in by Ameiko Kaijitsu at the Rusty Dragon Inn. Working the stables and kitchen, Dorin has stayed out of sight for many years. Dorin has practiced his magic in secret, keeping his heritage away from everyone else. He can make an invisible friend work for him, or put invisible armor on himself. Dorin has also made gauntlets resembling the bandit leader's to use on his own arms at the town forge, the Red Dog Smithy. Das Korvut, the owner, said little when he saw the reason in Dorin's eyes, and even afterwards grudgingly told the youth he had talent enough for smithing, if he cared to start. Dorin is nondescript except for his shock of white hair among the black, and a blue tattoo that goes along his entire left arm. (He has not worn the gauntlets before the start of the game.) Dorin is eager to show his magic when the time is right. He steers clear of Madame Mvashti, an ancient Varisian woman in the town, because she broodingly stares at Dorin when she sees him.
Personality:
Dorin remembers his special status and upbringing, but keeps it hidden. His white lock in his black hair and his special tattoo, however, mark him as being different, so Dorin prefers long-sleeved shirts. He still has an adolescent's short attention span and short temper, however. Future:
