Welcome! It is nice to see another female character here. Should be fun!

Hm... Looking at that new guy, maybe we could use a sixth? I don't really think we do. What do you guys think? A roguey type of character in addition to an arcane type character?

Looks interesting... Though what do you guys think?

Luminita Zantus |

I like that he's tied himself into Varisia well, even if it's Riddleport to the north (I'd still like to see how he found himself in Sandpoint). His archetype fits perfectly, as does the story for gaining his powers. He has tons of knowledge, along with the Scholar of the Ancients trait. It will complement our group very very well.
The blasty magic style isn't a huge deal in my eyes, but hey, more damage = less healing.
I think he's a fine character that fits our needs well. His personality and background really fit with the region, and I think we will be able to bond with him well.
I'd give him the Treasurefox seal of approval, as long as he gives himself maximum hp, adds his background skills (maybe Profession: Merchant? Or Appraise?), and buys his gear.

Luminita Zantus |

A nice utility wizard who's interested in item crafting. She has a simple, but straightforward background that ties her to Sandpoint fairly well. It makes sense for her to want to defend her home. Don't you think her character would tie in well if she knew another certain wizard from Magnimar? Wink wink nudge nudge.
The knowledge skills are fantastic. Between her and I, we can cover every single knowledge, and use aid another for any overlap. Combat may be an issue, at least at first, as she only has 2 spells/day and no real weaponry to supplement her abilities afterwards. She could scribe a few scrolls to keep her going, however.
I know of this player, he's planning to run a Kingmaker campaign very soon (I want to apply to his game, and it's gonna be very last minute XD). I don't know any more about him than that, though.

Sorry i wasn't able to post more of an opinion earlier. Both look like strong characters and have good examples of RP. It looks like Tas has gotten his gear, and his blasty magic would be helpful, but I also appreciate the 'planned development' for Kiera. Both would, I think, mesh well with the group. Stats-wise, it should probably be Tas, but to me, story and character development take a little bit of precedence over stats. My vote will probably go to Kiera, I feel like she has a bit more potential for that.

I think I am leaning towards Kiera too. Sounds like a good fit. And of course at first level it is going to be tough going for any caster. :P

Tas Acantha |

Wow close vote! Given the strength of Kiera's application I have to say I feel quite lucky to be chosen, and look forward to adventuring with you all, thank you for having me.
I'm just re-reading the events up to this point and will post soon.

Alright! Have a chat, get to know each other, make plans.
When there is no opposing agenda (i.e no bad guys, storms, or anything else) moving contrary to your purposes, I will not move the story forward without action on the part of the players.
The "Let's go see Vinder." was perfect, that's the kind of cue I look for to move things along.
Another thing I want to point out early. When you post, always move the story forward.
Scene:
Garth and Luccia are at work and the boss is yelling at them for something completely beyond their control.
Bad example: Garth sits very still, his expression blank. I wonder if we're ever getting out of here.
Good example: Garth sits very still, his expression blank. He leans to Luccia and whispers, "I think we should go. Any objections?" (It would then be Luccia's job to move things forward. A "no" from Luccia stalls the story in this example.
Great example: Garth sits very still, his expression blank. I have had it... Garth stands abruptly, cutting his boss off mid sentence. "I'm not taking this any more. Come if you want Luccia." Garth storms out the door.
This is a general rule and cannot ALWAYS be followed, but it is possible to do 90% of the time.
Can we try this?

Welcome Tas. Looks like everyone is here. So lets enjoy this story! :)

Tsakua |

Just a heads up, I'm enkoying the interactions and I think the teasing is funny, but IC, Tsakua's a little grumpy. Probably would've just "harumphed" at Luminita's comments, as he really never knows how to handle women. :)
Edit: Eek! was not expecting the gun.

![]() |

Oh geeze! It might just blow himself up with that!

Tsakua |

Well, please assist, and thank you :) Diplomacy is not my strength.
Edit: thank you for giving me a chance to handle it. I had what I would do sort of planned out, and was hopeful for a good diplomacy roll, but also wanted to make sure no one else wanted to try and calm the situation down first :). Kinda expected this to happen.

oh, it's just been a rough day. A good night's sleep, and all will be well.
wait a minute, is Tas' familiar a skunk? That is...pretty "stinking" awesome ;)

I laughed and groaned simultaneously :-p

Um, did we loose Kent along the way? I hope he comes back soon. Maybe in the story, he got drunk when we went over to the Vinder's? :P

![]() |

That would, technically, be rather scary. And I am glad Kent is around, thought we lost you there for a bit.

Tas Acantha |

Glad your still around Kent! The server maintenance has been brutal lately, if the Paizo goblins make an appearance here I'll gladly take them out.

Might want to send more messages then. Bugging them til they change it.

Yup, I am ready to see what the Sheriff has to say.
