I have not. This is pretty much one of the first APs I ever got to play. And this is for sure the first time I have played in a Runelords campaign.

I specialize in running RotR adventure paths. I currently run 2 of them (one at the table, the other on these forums). The furthest any of my group has gotten so far is almost the end of book 2. I'm very familiar with all the NPCs (both major and minor), along with the shops and other buildings in Sandpoint.
The reason why I really wanted to join this campaign is because I want to see how other DMs run the adventure, as I'm a little stuck in my own homebrew. I'd like to see their imagination and inspiration as they run the adventure and incorporate it into my own play in the future.
I promise not to spoil, as I would hate for someone to do that to me.

Tas Acantha |

I've never played this before but I tried to do some research on Sandpoint history when making Tas and may have unwittingly had some things spoiled. I'll err on the side of caution from here on in.

Personally, I've never played any of RotRL before. I have bits and pieces of knowledge about the AP from my suite mates. I know a bit about the Skinsaw murders from them, although my knowledge is spotty at best.
I have more knowledge of Sandpoint in general, as I did once play through most of Book 1 of Jade Regent. In fact, Kent was originally built for a Jade Regent game just after the ACG came out. As such, I'm aware of Ameiko's true title, and I've had some interaction with Sheriff Hemlock and a few other people in Sandpoint.
Long story short, I know some things about SANDPOINT, but not very much about RotRL.

Creatures with the scent special quality have a +8 bonus on Perception checks made to detect a scent.

Tas Acantha |

No problem! My first Pathfinder character is a half-orc with the scent alternate trait, I've gotten used to linking the various uses for it because for some reason it's bonuses aren't all listed in the same area.

And I think he just knocked it's skull flying with that damage. >.>

I agree. And on that, I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving or at least a Happy Thursday.

![]() |

Eh! Take your time then. Real life issues come first. Anything with goblins or dragons or piles of gold comes second, maybe third. So take your time and spend the time with your family. :)
We'll be here waiting for this story to continue.

Tas Acantha |

Just want to echo the sentiment the others have expressed, it sounds like you've got a lot going on, both good and bad, take your time, will be here when we're ready to start rolling again.

Thanks everyone.
I posted yesterday and you can all consider the game on. Things have more or less calmed down. I just wanted to explain the lapses and set the ground work for if I ever disappear for a day or two in the future.
If ever I need to end this campaign I will tell you. Otherwise, assume something is up and I'll be back asap. :)

So, ideas for making amends with Vinder? i apologize for the situation that i've created. Solutions that have come to my mind:
-Ask Vinder for his daughter's hand in marriage/try and get Father Zanthus to encourage Vinder to "shotgun wedding" with said daughter
-Allow Vin to get his punches in on me

Tas Acantha |

His punches wanted to come in bullets the last time we saw him, I'm not convinced letting him have his was will leave you living to enjoy the benefits of his shop :p.
Kent is the town blacksmith, right? I'm sure Mr.Vinder makes use of that given that he runs a shop, maybe we can use continued business as leverage, to that end Tas can represent the trade interests of his caravan as well. Maybe appealing to his business sense will work better?

Yeah, but that was also my fault for pounding on the door and yelling at him. if i hadn't done that, things would've gone a lot smoother.

Luminita Zantus |

Hmm. I have a few ideas
- Give him a gift, like some special brew, or a masterwork tool that he could use
- Give him a goat... in exchange for Shayliss
- Get drunk and play poker (or twentydie, found in the gamemastery guide)
- Lie low and let things cool over
- Fall on your knees and beg for mercy
Hey how far did Tsakua go before the big guy stormed in?

![]() |

The thing is, he didn't. It was all Shayliss doing from what happened. It was still amusing to read though.

![]() |

Oh! Congratulations! Hope everything will go smoothly for you during Christmas time then! :)

![]() |

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Merry Christmas yesterday! Wishing everyone well and may everyone have fun! :)

Hey everyone! Just checking in to see if people are still around. I hope so, and to get through all the... poop poor rolls people had and see what happens next. :)

![]() |

Hello everyone. Just checking in to see whats up and hope everyone is feeling well. Looks like flu season hit and I am not all that well, but I am able to post.

![]() |

I had that happen with a Kingmaker game I am in. I guess it is just a little glitch in the system. Just had to post in it to have it appear as active again.

Kent Atherton |

Ah, see, that hasn't worked for me. I'm still considered active in the game in every way, I just don't have it listed anywhere. Posting in it doesn't do anything because I'm already considered active. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to wait for Paizo staff to get back to me and see if this is the same issue I had last time this happened, or a different one.

![]() |

Hm, that is weird. Anyway, it has been a bit quiet here hasn't it? Guess people are still getting back from the Holidays or flu season hit where they live as well.

Tas Acantha |

I'm still around, just waiting for something to respond to. I don't have work for another week so hopefully it picks up while I still have a bunch of free time.
