Female Eladrin Warlord/10

Kia is busily trying to untangle her mail from the surrounding growth, so is not as prepared as she might be for the battle.

Init: 1d20+10=(4)+10=14

Kia looks up and down the beach for the oncoming foe, remaining where she is until the battle layout is clear.

Roll init and move to wherever you'd like to be.

Chary's belated stealth check, although unecessary now: (3)+11=14.

Chary prepares for battle: init=(11)+14= 25 and pulls her rapier out and heads a little closer to the sounds.
I23 please.

Two huge mishapen giants move through the trees, surprisingly deft in their movements despite their bulk. The first falls foul of Baldrech's carefully placed trap and lands prone, but his companion is forewarned and sidetracks directly through the woods.

The fomorians have the large evil eye of all their kindred and wear shackles around their wrists from which long chains dangle. Otherwise they are unarmed.

Looking at each other, they smile joyfully.

"Varosti."

Elven

Spoiler:
"Playtime."

Arianwyn raises his eyebrows with disdain and curses the fallen fomorian, following up with his characteristic blast of eldritch fire. It does a staggering amount of damage and he moves further onto the beach looking extremely smug.

Eldritch Blast (Ref) v F1.
1d20+11=31. Ugh. He rolled a crit.

Energizing strike: (12)+18= 30 vs AC
On hit: (3)+10=13 damage and one ally within 5 gets 11 TempHP. Who doesn't have them after the last encounter?...you can have them, if that hit.
Minor action: Darkfire versus same = (20)+17=37 vs reflex.
CRIT: He is REALLY outlined with dark flames and my allies can REALLY get combat advantage on him UEMNT. That was a REALLY big waste of a CRIT. ;)

Where is Chary exactly? Everything hits, but I need to update me map gov.

Female Eladrin Warlord/10

"Hmm. Bigger than I expected."

Female Drow Ardent 13

oops. e23 please.

Looking tiny beside the fallen giant, Chary dances forward and engulfs the creature in dark feyfire before driving her rapier firmly home.

Whiteclaw bursts through the trees to join her and marks the pair of horrors.

1d20+19=34. Whiteclaw v F1. Hits. 1d10+11=16 damage.

"Draw them to the beach so we can surround them" bellows Baldrech, as arrows sing sweetly from his bow. Only one hits, but it's enough to bloody the prone monster.

If 27 hits Ref, then 10 more. Soulfire activated.
Minor: Change to spear.
Please remember Cold Iron bracers. With Soulfire, I'm currently AC and Ref 27 versus fey.

Kia looks in disgust as her arrow flies wide. The bow string must have got damp in the last battle.

Kia's arrow pings uselessly across the beach as she and the rest of the party suddenly understand the reasons for Baldrech's fear.

The prone fomorian snarls and wraps chains around Chary before turning its baleful gaze on the drow and Whiteclaw.

Prison Chains (AC). On hit target is grabbed and takes a -5 penalty to end the grab. The fomorian can move the grabbed creature without making a Strength check. While the target is grabbed, any attack that hits the fomorian also hits the grabbed creature.

3d8+4=17 psychic
17 psychic damage to Whiteclaw, Chary, Tutavak, Kia, Arianwyn and Baldrech and none of them can see F2 or Whiteclaw to the end of F2's next turn.

The evil eye is as potent and dangerous a weapon as legend says. Using their prisoners as shields, the fomorians turn invisible, taking their passengers with them.

Note that Prison Chains has reach 3 and part of the power allows the fomorian to pull a hit target two squares into an unoccupied adjacent space. It wasn't relevant as Chary and Whiteclaw were adjacent anyway, but just so you know.

Female Drow Ardent 13

ouch.

Chary screams out as her body is wracked in pain. She quickly regains her self-control, and then acts. She attempts to wriggle free from the giant creature. Move action: Escape=(14)+9=23 vs reflex.

IF SUCCESSFUL, she shifts away (move action) to F23 and ardent surges herself (minor).
IF UNSUCCESSFUL, she will use her second wind (standard action) and stay bound right where she is.

how silly of Chary to charge up to a giant creature like that...but that is what she does. One day it will get her killed.

That is entriely possible. I don't like the idea of her dying so quickly, but she isn't the best build. A rash melee leader seems to be problematic...but FUN to play!

Chary struggles to break free, but fails. She takes the opportunity to breath deep and restore herself before the next onslaught.

Whiteclaw tries the same thing and also fails. Her tactic is slightly different as she attempts to hack at the fomorian with her axe. The giant bellows as the weapon drives deep into its leg.

I could probably find this looking back, but rushed. What are the mechanics for "can't see F2"? Total concealment, or something else?

They're invisible to whoever was affected by the evil eye. You know where they are - big thumping footprints being a bit of a giveaway. You can attack, but it's at -5.

M Human / Kargzant Hybrid Fighter/Ranger 14 / Soul Igniter

Tutavak focuses his gaze, then smiles -- a predator's smile. He shifts toward the giant grappling Whiteclaw, then thrusts his spear with precision, following his own weapon as the fomorian is shoved backward fro his prey.

Minor: Focused Sight -- ignore all cover/concealment TEOMNT.
Move: Shift to J20.
Standard: Silverstep vs F2 AC.

1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 362d10 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (3, 10) + 7 + 3 = 23
Sweet! 23 -- NO, 27! -- to F2 and Whiteclaw, and push F2 5 squares opposite Whiteclaw (seems rectangular; I trust Rev's judgment). As part of attack, then shift to J17.
Figured Whiteclaw could take the hit better than Chary . . .

They're supposed to be 3x3 but unfortunately, the typeface won't allow me to fit them into that sort of shape. I can give you blocks of colour as well if that would make life easier for you all.

Scree spurts upwards as the fomorian is pushed willy nilly towards the sea.

Chary struggles fruitlessly against the chains holding her. After she fails, she steels herself for the oncoming pain. "When he comes your way, HIT HIM, my pain be damned!" If Tutavak hits, that bloodies Chary again, so add the +4 to subsequent damage rolls again USMNT.

Chary can't break free of the fomorian, but her attack is savage enough to push the giant across the beach and into range of Tutavak. Between them, it is enough and the fey giant falls, springing back into bloody view as he does so and releasing Chary from the dangling chains.

Don't forget to take the 16 damage from your own successful attack on him, Chary.

Kia sends another healing surge to Whiteclaw with inspiring comments and then moves to put some distance between her and the formorian.

Inspiring word for Whiteclaw, who can spend a healing surge plus 3d6+6=(6,2,4)+6=18HP.

Double move to U12

Kia restores Whiteclaw with a few helpful maxims and gets herself clear of the threat of the fomorian's evil eye.

Staying put, the creature grabs at Tutavak, punches Whiteclaw and turns its gaze on the gnoll, the Kargzant warrior and the drow. Shards of black ice fall from its body as it shakes off Arianwyn's most recent attack.

Forgot Chary's extra 4, so I did a total of 35 damage

That's nice. He still isn't dead.

Female Drow Ardent 13

Chary takes a breath to steady herself, and then notices that she doesn't notice the second Fomorian. She looks around and quickly sees the giant footprints and heads that way. After the hug she recieved by the last giant, she is a little wary of approaching this one so quickly. She pulls a dagger from her glove and flings it at the creature.
Move action: to L22.
Standard: Ranged Basic= (15)+16-5= 26 (miss)

Chary misses the giant and Tutavak by the narrowest of margins as the invisible creature dodges just in time.

Whiteclaw continues to worry at its ankles and Baldrech does his best to bring the fomorian down as quickly as possible.

Gurgle.

What is clearly human blood pools menacingly on the beach as Tutavak goes silent. Baldrech snarls. "Get him out of there or you're going to be down a good man."

Female Eladrin Warlord/10

Kia watches with dismay the devastation the formorian was causing. Determined that no-one would die while she could help it, she fires one of her special arrows at the formorian in an effort to make him drop Tutavak. She then calls on Tutavak to pull himself together.

Move to R13
Paint the bull's eye firing at the formorian (using Onslaught arrow). 1d20+18=(15)+18=33 vs AC. 1d10+3=(5)+3=8 damage.
On a hit, she pushes F2 1 square diagonally away from her (so top right corner moves to J19), hopefully causing it to drop Tutavak.
All attacks against F2 gain a +1 item bonus to attack rolls to end of Kia's next turn and a +4 power bonus to damage rolls to start of Kia's next turn.

Inspiring word for Tutavak who can spend a healing surge plus 3d6+4=(5,5,4)+4=18HP
