Kia prepares to attack by aiming her bow (serruptitiously) at the shaman.

Paint the bulls-eye at Shaman 1d20 (16) + 18 = 34: 1d10 (7) + 3 = 10 damage. On hit shaman is at -2 to all ranged and area attacks.

Could someone please bring me up to speed on which runestones are in whose hands? In front of us is the Stone of Wisdom, right?

So which stone that was recently liberated, just before I joined the crew? And which is the one still in its original place?

Fury has been liberated. Creation is still in its original spot. Wisdom is right here and Despair is in the mines as well. You don't know where Rebirth is.

Kia resolves the issue by sending an arrow into the Shaman's head. The party gains the advantage of surprise as the Shaman and the wisdom seekers reach for their weapons.

Chary hurtles into the room and stabs W3 who blinks lethargically at her.

The Shaman reaches for the Stone and cradles it to her, holding it out to the incoming companions. She looks at Chary, her evil eye glowing and speaks serenely.

"You will learn our ways. I hope. Omm."

"I think you should try to stay away from the stone." Kia shouts helpfully. The fires another arrow at the Shaman.

In addition, Kia pushes the Shaman one square (so the stone will now be at M16)

Kia stays firmly back and drops another helpful arrow into the Shaman. She flinches slightly as she and her burden are pushed away from the companions, but continues to chant serenely.

Arianwyn smiles slightly.

"I think not."

Cursing W3, he moves deliberately to the centre of the Wisdom Seekers and unleashes a howl of his own.

Darius produces another thorny floral tribute but the Wisdom Seekers are unimpressed. The Stone has evidently shown them greater things than roses. They crush the delicate flowers beneath their huge feet unheeding.

They turn benevolent eyes on the party, as though imploring you to stop and wait a while.

The Shaman eases forward catching the whole party in the aura of the stone before looking hard at Arianwyn.

"You seem open to experience," she remarks calmly, looking at him with a deathly gaze.

Having seen his fair share of hypnosis reduce both fey and natural humanoid alike to the status of poultry, Darius snaps his fingers at Arianwyn.

"When I snap my fingers, you are no longer a chicken." Unfortunately, I don't have a saving throw granting mechanic to back up those words.

Font of Life saving throw against immobilisation 1d20(12) + 3 = 15.

Inexorable Shift to shift one square into H17, pushing W3 one square.

Frontline Surge
1d20(13) + 18 + 2 = 33 vs the Shaman's AC; 2d10(6, 10) + 10 = 26 damage and I push the Shaman one square. Because Chary is within two squares, she may shift one square if she so wishes.

Despite his firm finger-snapping, to Darius dismay, Arianwyn only clucks in response.

Pressing on to more immediate matters, the warden attempts to get to the root of the problem and hits the Shaman hard.

Paging Kia.

Kia decides to move closer to the action to keep a better eye on Arianwyn, as there is no telling what he will get up to. She moves between Darius and Chary with a nod of her head and, sword in hand takes a swipe at the Seeker.

Kia concentrates and drives her blade confidently into W3. An unpleasant wound opens up, giving Chary due warning of a useful opening.

Arianwyn turns on Tutavak, eyebrows raised.

"Wisdom would become you, warrior."

Tutavak is briefly outlined with eldritch fire, but the flare seems to be bring Arianwyn to his senses. Lowering his rod, his lip curls in what might be an apology as he turns his attention back to the true enemy.

"Fomorian fool. Whatever our differences, we remain united in battle. As with the sons of Maeve, so with us."

Chary maintains both poise and concentration as she stabs gracefully at W3, opening up a pathway for Darius.

Even as he smile his appreciation, the warden becomes away of a sad tsking sound as the Shaman turns her gaze upon him. Shuffling forward with her burden, she does her best to bring Darius under her influence. Now that he comes to consider the matter, he finds her strangely persuasive.

Darius continues on his own journey of self-knowledge.

Since Arianwyn didn't need to reroll his saving throw, Darius can roll again to save vs deominated wth a +2 bonus

One other thing I just realiased is that Kia and everyone within 10 squares of Kia gains a +2 bonus to will against charm, fear and illusion attacks (sorry, should have remembered a few encounters ago I think), Also Kia gains +5 to will against charm attacks.

"Get off me you oaf!" Kia shouts at Darius, "if you had any sense, you would help me take down this shaman!"

Kia turns her attention to the shaman, hoping others will follow suit.

Oops! Sorry I meant she moves to G15. i.e. next to the Shaman...

I keep getting Kia's +5 thing wrong. She has a +5 to saving throws vs charm effects, and everyone has a +2 bonus to will vs charm, fear or illusion attacks.
