Lanliss tumbles away from the stony creature in front of him to make his way towards Scarlet. Fortunately, Lanliss was fast enough do dodge the attack of the creature he was up against. He moves up to Scarlet, pulls a wand from his pack, and uses a charge from his Cure Light Wounds Wand. Scarlet heals 6 HP.
Barnabus blast the stone creature that attacked out at Lanliss with his Force Missile dealing 4 damage.
The metallic animal like creature attacks out at Bozvrig with its oversized jaw, but misses.
The stony creature loses its interest in Lanliss as he moves away and goes for the dwarf in front of him. It thrust its arm out at Del and digs one of its spikes firmly into his shoulder. Del takes 7 DMG.

@Del Barnabus is correct. Anytime you do a crit under your confirm just go ahead and roll the additional dice damage. I will go ahead and roll it, just incase...

Dels attack on the stone like creature is a devistating one. With his full power behind it, Del’s Waraxe cleaves through the stony exterior and slices deep into the core of it. Del pulls his axe free and as he does so the creature crumples to the ground, dead.

@Bozvrig Truffles has a 2 int which means it could have a maximum of 6 tricks. I would allow you to it to have fully learned the full attack trick that counts as 2 tricks. I am sure you would have possibly had it learn that between level 1 and you starting in this module at level 3.
[ooc]@Bozvrig go ahead and have it attack.
Bozvrig brings his attack down on the metallic animal like creature for a devistating attack, but it still stands. The volley of arrows let loose by Dalron and Scarlet all go wide as they try to miss their allies who surround the creature.

@Bozvrig that is where the rules are kind of.. grey? Because they can know a max of 3 with 1 int or 6 with 2 int. They get 1 bonus per the class at level 1. But there are no rules saying that you wouldn’t have already taught them the tricks for their int score...
Truffels charges up and lands a direct hit causing the creature to stumble and limp.
@Barnabus & Lanliss you’re up!
Barnabus Black |
Barnabus steps forward into the brawl and tries to catch one or both of the mist-like creatures in a blast of fire from a Burning Hands spell.

With one final swing of his greataxe, Bozvrig separates the animal like creatures oversized jaw from its head. As it slumps down dead, the swarm like creatures that were flying around fly back into the chest cavity of the statues and the door shuts with a mechanical click.
The party waits for a few moments and nothing else happens.
The smoky swarm like creatures were not doing OR taking any damage. OOC they are a construct that help give the other ones an edge. If they make an AC10 attack check it gives the stony/animal like ones a +2 to their attacks.
Bozvrig Wur |
Bozvrig glances down at Truffles and gives her a tusky grin, "Dat'll do pig, dat'll do."

Continuing in common; “Thank you elf... Xeron led us around the corner to the east, my friend Teryl found a pit that we all avoided as we went into the wide room beyond. There, we saw two metal statues. There was also a complicated puzzle lock-one that Xeron had considerable trouble unraveling. He got angry and ordered his tomb robbers to smash the platform that contained the lock and break through the door to the north.”
You remember something that Leera said as she was pleading with the party to spare her and allow her to move on to safety with the group.
You are all currently in the room with the broken platform, two statues, two fallen constructs, and two dead bodies. One half-orc, the other unexplored. The double doors to the north have also been smashed open.
Dalron Northfield |
Dalron goes and checks the bodies for anything useful/of value. Then he will try to retrieve his arrows if not broken.

Dalron looks over the hobgoblin. You find a ruined suit of studded leather armor, it is beyond repair. You find a longsword of masterworked quality, a light wooden shield, an amulet. On the human in the middle of the room you find a suit of leather armor that is ruined beyond repair. a buckler of masterworked quality, a short sword of masterworked quality, and a wand.
Barnabus looks over the items and finds two that are magical. The wand, and the amulet.
Scarlet Blood |
Scarlet puts the good weapons and buckler into the bag of holding and then looks at the wand and amulet.
"Perhaps Barbabus should hold onto the wand and I'll put the amulet in the bag for later identification."
Del Boozer |
"Why don't we rest here a few more minutes then decide where we go next"?
Short Rest???
Del looks at all the stuff they gathered, looks at his existing weapons, shrugs, and begins to look for a more comfortable spot to rest... or move on.
Scarlet Blood |
"I can use some healing to if you have some available. As for resting, I am okay either way. But this place is probably not that secure so we will need to be careful if we rest."

GM RelicBlackOUT |
I am describing this as if you are looking from the doorway.
Moving towards where the double doors were, you find them now broken up and piled up on the ground at the top of the staircase that is revealed beyond. A 15-foot staircase descends deeper into this tomb. How deep have you gone? How deep does it go?
At the bottom of the stairs you see it opens into a room that opens to the west, but you’re unable to see beyond. You see light flickering in the room below, could it be torchlight... camp fire... something else? It is hard to tell because you have come across all of the above.
At the bottom of the stairs you see a pile of stones and just beyond a room that is hazy with mist and moisture. Directly ahead of the rocks you see three sarcophagi that have had their lids removed. Once you see them you believe that the pile of stones at the bottom of the stairs are the broken up remains of the lids.
GM RelicBlackOUT |
Bozvrig Wur |
I thought I posted last night, but it must have got eaten. I'll take the 10 from the Channel over the 9 from the CLW to save us a charge on the wand, if that's ok with the GM.
Bozvrig takes a look at the rubble at the bottom of the stairs. "Looks like dey tried ta make a barricade," he whispers to the group. "Ya dink dey've camped out down dere?"
If someone wants to sneak down there and take a peek, Bozvrig will cast Guidance on them.
Scarlet Blood |
Scarlet nods, keeping his sword drawn, he tip toes down the stairs.

Updated Map for Scarlet & Dalron. When others make their way down the stairs they see it also.
Someone has piled stone slabs in the entrance to what appears to be another chamber. The pile isn’t high enough to prevent entry altogether, but pushing it out of the way, jumping over it, or climbing across it appears to be the only obvious choices you have. A sound like roaring water comes from somewhere ahead, and the air here is slightly damp and misty.
Looking into the room you see the three sarcophagi ahead, to the west of that is a wide crack in the floor, near which stands three weathered statues of human warriors leaning on longswords and bearing shields. Straw has been spread thinly on the floor just beyond the fissure.

"They might have piled those stones we have to traverse to hide a trap."
