Ziva Suadela |

Hey it was her idea!
I'm banking on you guys to step in tho if she crits me for 99.9999999999% of my health

Ziva Suadela |

LAME
Real women fight with swords...
...and whatever friendly giant mantis they also might have.

GM Mort |

Mantises are not allowed! Remember no one, and nothing.
Mind you it might not happen.
A little out of character stuff.
If the fight takes place, she will give her Potions to the referee (Mr Whiskers), to administer on anyone who drops. At any time in the fight anyone can concede.
Basically what you did was the equivalent of insulting someone’s parents :P

Ziva Suadela |

Calling BS (on her) if she doesn't want Vernai involved. Its like asking a barbarian not to rage, or a fighter to only use half her feats (and I bet she probably has one of those class features). My companion is an intrinsic class feature, part of my strengths, and if she doesn't like it, then tough luck.
Ziva would probably just call her cowardly in requesting her opponent to weaken or "nerf" herself so that she stands a better chance at winning.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
so how does Einar sneak down stairs and get Hatch so he can make hot chocolate and cheer up everyone.
I totally overlooked the ingredients for hot cocoa, they were in the bards room so I thought it was her addiction, speaking of the bard, did we tie her up unconscious or is she dead?
edit: I totally got ninja'd by Ziva

Ziva Suadela |

I thought we agreed shes unconscious (although no offence to
Crummock, but if he wants to KO her he would need to communicate that to either Vernai or Ziva (who both don't speak Alko and iirc he was in combat). If he wants to KO her while we are out of combat, then all good, we can understand each other.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
I thought so too, but we never really finalized anything, I originally was going to ask if we should send her back through the porthole for the sentinels to watch, but I didn't think we would have time for her to get there before we closed it. Now, I'm not to sure, but would we do that to the sentinels?

GM Mort |

The problem actually is a 2v1 situation. And animal companions at low levels are actually more powerful then their masters. I’d druther have a roc doing the tanking for me as opposed to a core fighter. And at the end of the day, NPCs are all built on a 15 point buy, and often don’t have optimal feats. I’ll think about it.

Ziva Suadela |

Oops to be clear here, its not like allowing Vernai is going to make the fight 100% fair either - I'm well aware of that. Any situation that allows her animal companion gives her a massive advantage - double actions alone would be worth so much. Just mentioning this in case you thought I was unaware that I'm hugely biased in this situation =]

GM Mort |

I think it can be done. Both sides buff up, and then give a decent showing.
Mind you, Hestrig is probably going to have her back against the wall, so no flanking. Still, you've got 2 sets of action to her one. Which I think is fair enough.

GM Mort |

Sorry for the delay, but I rather that PCs sort the problem themselves, rather then NPC intervention. Anyway it gives me time to work on book 2 maps =)

GM Mort |

All right. Waited long enough. Lets get moving.
Since Mr Whiskers didn't state anything about stopping the fight, the fight is on!

GM Mort |

Hatch is umpire... :P
Because NPCs won't stop players from doing what they want to do

GM Mort |

Grapple isn't the end. You need to establish a pin(by maintaining grapple next round)before target can't do anything except to break free. There's also, break free option.

Ziva Suadela |

Yeah, by I win I kinda meant "you don't get to use your Greatsword" which was my major concern. A second hit and I was gone.

GM Mort |

There are reasons why I had everything under non lethal. When 2 jokers run around enlarged/lead blades great swords, there's a LOT of room for accidents to happen.

Ziva Suadela |

Very true. Anyway that was fun, thanks for playing it out this way GM! It was kinda binary though in that one good round could have easily swung it (ie she got that really strong hit and then I had that really strong counter).

Mr. Whiskers |

Sorry it took so long. I really had to deal with something for work. Just got off a conference call about it a short time ago.
Mr. Whiskers would have most definitely cringed at some of the insults hurled in both directions.

Ziva Suadela |

At wedding, will probably be inactive for 48-72 hours. Will try and post when I can but no promises.
Bot me if required.

GM Mort |

Ok. We can sort out Mierul after this, lets just say the water elemental and Hatch are keeping an eye on her. Enjoy your wedding!
Rest of party:Teleporting order?
I don't expect you will be sending Ziva up first, right?

GM Mort |

Crummock, you want to be the first person up?
As in, teleporter still takes only one person at a time, since its you know...a teleporter?

Crummock-i-Phail |

That said, why can't multiple people stand on the teleporter pad at the same time? After all, two people can squeeze into a 5' square with minimal difficulty...

GM Mort |

Mainly because of the mod text:
A teleporter can transport one creature at a time. The target is encased in ice for 1 round, during which time it is paralyzed, then fades away. At the end of the round, the target is teleported to its keyed destination, and the ice immediately melts away.
But if you want to be up, go ahead!

Mr. Whiskers |

Well, I would assume something like:
Crummock-Einar-Mr Whiskers-Ziva-Geist-Vernai-Nadya
If Ziva's player were here, I would have her go before Mr. Whiskers.

Crummock-i-Phail |

Well, a witch with a 1 round casting time spell is either doing a Summons, or Dominate - if it is the latter, we are pretty screwed (since we are talking a level 9 spellcaster, at minimum), so I am betting on the former ;-)

GM Mort |

The way the fight is going, Ziva and Vernai should go first. I can bot them, its good. I know how to run animal companions fine,

Mr. Whiskers |

Just saw this.
The way the fight is going, Ziva and Vernai should go first. I can bot them, its good. I know how to run animal companions fine,
Alright, the round before she goes in, she gets a special Enlarge Person with +4 size bonus to strength instead of the normal +2.
Got to go for the moment. Be back in an hour or so.

GM Mort |

Where Radosek is now is more of an on screen thing, not really so much into distances, but after he moved he's out of Einar's enlarged reach.

Crummock-i-Phail |

In the immediate period, I would say it would continue its action, going after where it thought its target was. If it misses it, though, and continues to be harried, I would say that it retreats in utter confusion.

Mr. Whiskers |

Alright, I'm really confused about how many opponents there are and such.
How many ice elementals are there? Usually it is either 1d3 or 1d4+1 lesser creatures. You rolled 2d3, yet I don't see that many creatures anywhere in the battle area.
Also, where do I pop in? Can you please place my token, Mort?
How many opponents are there, and where? I see a lot that seem to be off screen.

GM Mort |

There used to be many elementals until they all got smashes. There's nothing visible in the tower now, but there's an invisible summoner popping 1 eagle per round somewhere on the celling.
2d3 elementals is due to a magic item you'll find later.
Radosek is out of the tower dealing with a blind mantis. He is within any spells that have 100 ft range.

Mr. Whiskers |

So I pop in and can immediately hear someone casting above?

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
...Radosek ... flies out of the window.
Up above, the party can hear spellcasting from on top of them.
lol, when she said that I thought the witch flew out the window and on to the roof, I forgot about the invisible caster.
Mort, how high is the ceiling?
I will either have Einar grab the glaive and poke a the ceiling, listening and then poking for the fey, or he will grab the bow, going to the window and shooting at the witch.
Depending on ceiling height

GM Mort |

30 ft. Radosek is outside the tower now and yes Mr Whiskers you can hear spellcasting.
