I missed this:
Usually at wedding dinners, I'm stuffed after my 3rd glass of beer :P Or if I were silly enough to drink 3 cans of coke at a go...It's all that fizz.I dunno. How many sodas can you drink?
When we go to dinner I normally drink five to seven glasses of whatever I am drinking, water, tea or soda. When I go to work I take either a gallon of tea or four liters of soda and drink most of it in an eight hour shift.
Five would be a good number if they are large flagons ;)

"Och, Aye, so, I be remembering the time we got attacked by a flock o' ravens - thick as rain, they were! Then that drunken sot we had wit' us hit 'em with a hammer, and they disappeared in a cloud o' feathers..."
Sorry, I couldn't resist ;-)
On a more prosaic note, it looks like no-one wanted any of the 'extra special' items that we didn't identify earlier, so I guess I am throwing them in the 'liquidation' pot.

Mr. Whiskers |

Caudron of Overwhelming Allies, the robe as a robe of useful items and the bag as a Bag of Holding(Type 2)
I think the group should keep the bag of holding. We're going to be doing a lot of traveling and it makes carrying everything a lot easier.
Mr. Whiskers can't imagine carrying around a 5 lb cauldron everywhere, so sell that.
Very tempted by the robe....

Fair enough.
I have noted Mr Whiskers as claiming the robe, kept the Bag as another 'group item of loot', and liquidated the cauldron.
The revised gold total per person, is now 5773.87gp.

GM Mort |

Yes. Come on. You would be giving Crummock and Nadya some privacy, wouldn't you? ;) Not that they got any tonight, mind you...

GM Mort |

I think this is worth it for amusement alone watching adventurers in pajamas running out in the snow;)
Don't mind me. I have a warped sense of humour ;)

Mr. Whiskers |

GM Mort |

Honestly will tell you not to bother. After Einar is done with his turn, you'll see exactly why ;)

Mr. Whiskers |

I didn't say I was going to use it now. Just that I'm ready for the situation.
Time for bed!

GM Mort |

Ziva's having some issues posting - boards are wonky (in full agreement here, I can't open my campaign tab). If it can't be fixed then we'll just wait till the boards stabilize.
Just a heads up to everyone.

GM Hmm |

Hey.... Forgive me for popping in here, but I am not sure PMs are working right now. The website is so messed up.
Popping in to Robert Henry, in official capacity. Robert, I am not sure if PMs are coming through clearly, but GM Chyro tried to PM you about the game that you are playing with him. If you got that PM, can you respond?
I now return you to your regular Reign of Winter.
Hugs,
Hmm

GM Mort |

Guys, get the magic mart stuff going. Decide what you want to buy, post it here or in game play thread.

Ziva Suadela |

Hmm, is it ok if we consider pushing on. I need to actually sit down and go through my total gold and if anything I wish to buy - but I won't have an opportunity until tonight at the earliest, or possible tomorrow. I don't want things to slowdown util then, GM would you be ok if we retconned any purchases or would you be uncomfortable about that?

GM Mort |

I am ok. The problem is I wasn't sure if people were not posting due to board failure. Also this will be your last opportunity to buy stuff before White Throne, so I did not know whether to proceed or not.
You can't blame players for not posting if its technical problems boardwise, I have a GM in another game who says his posts keep being eaten.

GM Mort |

Furious Amulet of mighty fists. You can add enchantments to amulet of mighty fists without having +1 first.
Despite the wording: "Alternatively, this amulet can grant melee weapon special abilities, so long as they can be applied to unarmed attacks"
I think the furious property should work for natural attacks too. Luke - what do you think?
You may consider this in the future
Basically, if I read furious + courageous right, when you rage, the enhancement bonus becomes from +0, to a +2, so you gain +1 strength.
If you want +2 strength, then you need a +2 furious courageous amulet of mighty fists, so when you rage, your natural weapons become +4 enhancement to attack and damage, and you gain +2 morale bonus to strength in addition to your normal rage.
Blah. All this maths makes my head hurt. And it doesn't work because of Errata...
Courageous Weapon Property: Is the courageous weapon property meant to help only on saves against fear? The text seems to give unfettered increases to all morale bonuses, which is way out of line for a +1 equivalent weapon ability.
A courageous weapon was meant to help only on saves against fear (either adding its enhancement bonus as a morale bonus on saves against fear, or adding half its enhancement bonus to your existing morale bonus on saves against fear, whichever is best for you). However, the wording is in error. The last sentence should say “on saves against fear” after “any morale bonus.” This change will be reflected in the next errata.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
I am thinking about spending the 4,000 on a belt of strength so my adjust number during rage and large will be +8 instead of + 7 that way with the pole arms damaged adjustment will be +12 instead Of +10.
His claws are considered magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage resistance so I'm not in a hurry to buy a magical weapon.

GM Mort |

You asked for help enhancing natural attacks. While raging you would get a +2 to attack and damage on all natural attacks if going the Furious AMOF route. But Belts of giant strength work, too.

GM Mort |

Sorry guys, my family and I went to Gardens by the bay, then we went to the furniture shop to buy a new handset, then got back and started baking Orange Sponge Cake, and there was the cut into tiny cubes candied winter melon for breakfast of cheng ting tomorrow. Sorta had a full day.
Well, the cake is in the oven now...

Ziva Suadela |

I have like 8K now (since I haven't spent anything up until now), so do people wreck if I should go for Belt of Strength for Ziva and AmMF for Vernai? Or something else?

GM Mort |

For Crummock.
Might not have been clear earlier:
These masterwork snowshoes (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Equipment 91) provide greater stability and weight distribution in snow. The snowshoes completely negate the effects of normal snow on movement, and reduce the movement penalties in heavy snow by half (i.e., it only costs 2 squares of movement to enter a square covered with heavy snow instead of 4 squares of movement). In addition, the wearer can increase her land speed in snowy terrain by 10 feet for up to 10 rounds per day. This is considered an enhancement bonus and the duration need not be spent in consecutive rounds. Finally, as a standard action once per day, the snowshoes can generate a ripple effect that removes all trace of tracks left in the snow in a 60-foot radius.
Since you're no longer on snowy terrain(you're in a forest), you do not get to ignore DT from bushes.
Also, since Nadya's flatfooted ac is 13, and the goblins acted before her init, the goblin did confirm his kongbow crit on her.
Einar would have gotten 4 hp back from resting for a night, but if there was any healing(done by wands/spell slots), I didnt see THOSE in gameplay thread.

nope there was none, I didn't ask, so it's my own fault, he's a big tough guy, doesn't like to ask for help, makes him feel weak ;)

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
I just realized that I never gave Einar his language for fourth level does anyone have a language they would like to teach Einar?
@ Mort, I'm going to go ahead and retroactively purchase a belt of giant strength from Shui, I will put the discussion in game play under spoilers later.

GM Mort |

Edited a gameplay post. Really should have put it in while I was typing, but I think I have issues focusing on more then one thing at a time >.<
Everyone - whatever you buy from Shui(I know Crummock bought an amulet of natural armour), I want to see it either in gameplay, or discussion thread.
And realistically its been already 2 days since you last met Shui so I really shouldn't be giving you more time to retcon purchases...

Crummock-i-Phail |

I did not buy an amulet - we found one, and I claimed it (as recorded on the loot tracking sheet).
I did not purchase anything, as I am saving-up to bring Thora back to life.

GM Mort |

Oh, ok. Also - yeah weather is getting warmer, so a certain body is going to start to smell...
Please retcon whatever healing that was done at goblins.

GM Mort |

Waiting for Einar as I just gave him some information and it may depend on how he wants to use it(or not).

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
a couple of questions on the 'ale's' affect. does the con. loss return after resting, how long does the rage ability last?
Since he rested he can either have the con. or Wisdom damage healed right? That's easy we'll take the con. So his con is back to normal, of course it will make the 'will' save harder, oh well...

GM Mort |

Ale con loss returns after resting unless you're addicted, which can possibly occur if you drink more then you should. Which was the consequence I was hinting at earlier.
Rage lasts 1d4 rounds after the ale is drunk.
Con and wis dmg heal by 1 point, since ability damage needs 2 points to take effect, so your wis saves are unaffected now.

'If you need to leave the world you live in
Lay your head down and stay a while' - Imaginary (Evanescence Origins version)
Another take on the scene(if party did not make the knowledge religion check):
The party acccepts their invitation for dinner and sits down by the yew table. The old couple bring out the food, a pot of spaghetti and serves it into plates. As the last rays of the setting sun touch upon the hosts and the food, both undergo a terrifying transformation. The 'spaghetti' shimmers, then melts away to become a plate of maggots, mealworms and flesh eating beatles. The skin of the kindly elderly couple begin to sag and their flesh withers. The hands crook and elongate into claws, revealing undead monstrosities under their cleric robes, their mouth open in silent screams.

*ponders about the lion, the witch and the wardrobe*
Is it right to say that Mr Whiskers and Einar want a worg fight? If so then I can retcon it. 2 is sufficient to brawl if ye want.

GM Mort |

You see, you gotta understand as a GM, I also have a problem.
If one person wants to fight, sure. But how do I know if another person in the party would be upset by picking fights that were unnecessary?
Or if two people want to pick a fight and two people don't. What am I supposed to do, roll dice to decide if the fight takes place? :P
That being said, I'm all cool with fights.

Mr. Whiskers |

My advice, go forward with what makes the more interesting story.
If it is just another combat, skipping it is a good idea -- especially when there isn't consensus. Battles take a while, especially in PBP. Skipping one that doesn't add anything to the plot/story makes sense.
If it helps fill out a subplot or set the scene for later in the story, then go with it.
In this case, Mr. Whiskers didn't want the worgs despoiling the forest. Chase them off, fight them, whatever. He would also accept that it wasn't a necessary battle, so avoiding it was the right course.
I do not believe there is only one correct answer here. Each group needs to pick a balance that works for them.

GM Mort |

Elk and worgs was more of a national geographic moment. So we can just skip it, then.

GM Mort |

You just ate Elk the day before! Anyone would think you don't get fed enough! Good thing you get lots of exercise by trekking 8 hours a day or you'd end up as a big blue ball!

Ziva Suadela |

Sorry to be a pain but can someone make the coup roll for me. Today I'm leaving for work 2hrs early to train someone so I'm pushed for time
