Im planning on multiclassing probably into a bard. which will give us more spellcasting.

I would like to multiclass into Fey Courtier bard. however I seem to remember somewhere that it is a specific races archetype even though its not mentioned on the Pazio sight (and I couldn't find the reference that I thought I remember seeing). so if anyone knows I would appreciate it.

Fey Courtier is from the Ultimate Wilderness book, which I do not have...

From how it reads on the SRD it looks like anyone can go into it. It also isn’t listed in the racial section of bard like the Gnomish Prankster is.

That is correct, Fey Courtier does not require any specific race.

Tuesday nights are my IRL gaming nights and one of my friends had the UW book. Looking at it within it is under the Gathlain Archetypes section. The subtext says that they are typically only taken by gathlains, but members of other races, with the GM’s permission, can take them as well.

That is where you must have seen it Mordred.

Looks like they rolled back. All my combat trackers are wrong. So go but whats on the map. Ill have them updated tomorrow.

Due to the recent forum issues we have been set back a lot. I'm gonna pace the game a bit slower until we confirm everything is back to working and all players are also able to post.

sorry about the wait on me. I tried to post at least four times and never could. I am still interested in playing its just been weird with the websight.

Is that what you really want to do?

The site has been down off and on for the past 2-3 weeks.... Its been slaying momentum on all the PBPs I am sure.

Sidenote: This is one heck of a battle.... I can’t roll anything above a 10 to save my life.

Reign of Winter Slides

Hello everyone! During our downtime I had some time to move my stuff onto a slide show to consolidate everything. The first slide is for your icons, if you plan to summon something or you have a companion I can just copy/paste from here.

The second slide will be our active map. Usually I prefer to lock tokens so players can’t move them, the only reason I try to enforce this is because everyone forgets about difficult terrain. But if you can remember for me, then we can go ahead and allow you to move yourselves from now on.

I included a party loot sheet that you can go ahead and fill out if you have any of the items collected so far that you are not gearing for use. Consumables do not go onto this sheet, only items you don’t plan on equipmenting during combat. If you plan to equip it until you sell it, then keep it on your own character sheet for that time.

Please try to keep the player rolls table up to date when you level up or if there are any changes to your character due to gear equip and any situational modifiers.

Last but not least, the graveyard or retirement home. On occasion they will get lost too.

Hope you like the slides and happy gaming!

Looks like that'll be handy quite soon. :D

We aren't getting any breaks here, they can't miss and we can't hit. We are getting annihilated by the dice. With Gavinia down and Mordred a couple of rounds from death things are looking pretty grim indeed.

Soooo, the next round of adventurers are going to form up and go looking for what happened to the first group of adventurers ;P

Female LN Oread Warpriest 1 | HP 9/9 | AC: 20 Touch: 11 FF: 19 | CMB: 3 CMD: 14 CMD-FF: 13| Fort: +2 Ref: +1 Will: +5 | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft Perc: +3 Sense Motive: +3 | Speed 15ft | Blessings: 3/3 Tactician: 1/1 Magic Stone: 1/1 Crystalline Form: 1/1 | Spells 1st: 2/2 | Active Buffs: None

Yikes, I just realised Mordred got hit twice, and that the crit was max damage! Yeah, this is some crazy bad luck.

Slides look good, btw.

Do you want us to update the rolls for short buffs or just for more permanent things.

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

The websight has been down for me again til now lol, I’ll post tonight , I have diehard so I might attack. I am on my cell so I need to go home before checking my options

The slides with your rolls are just your base numbers with situational modifiers. When you cast a spell, just state what kind of bonus it gives you and I'll put it on the combat tracker to help me remember. Other players have their own methods by posting a spoiler with the info in it for all their buff/debuffs.

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

Sorry about that I have the green knight archetype which grants both diehard and endurance, I have had it since the beginning of the adventure. that how I had the wild empathy and the Order of the green.

Beast Tongue (Ex)
A green knight can use Diplomacy to improve an animal’s attitude. Beast tongue otherwise functions like the druid’s wild empathy ability, using the green knight’s Diplomacy modifier and using her cavalier level as her effective druid level, and it counts as that ability for the purpose of other effects (such as feat prerequisites or effects that alter or improve wild empathy).
This replaces tactician.

Implacable Knight (Ex)
A green knight gains Endurance and Diehard as bonus feats. This replaces mount.

Nature’s Servant (Ex)
A green knight must select the order of the Green. This alters order.

I will make the con check if you want to rule it not specifically called out on my character sheet but I have had it since the beginning trusting in the honor system. I Will update my sheet for future use.

Con: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Yeah, ok. I generally update my header with the correct numbers (...unless I'm on my phone)

Thank goodness for diehard. I worked out that I currently have a 54% chance of stabilizing before dying, but you only had 22% chance. But it's really a 100% chance.

Looks like we may pull through. Maybe. None of you guys have decent Heal checks, so I may still bleed out haha.

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

On my table group, I just had a guy die from a disease. over a span of seven days worth of rolls, because we lost our cleric in the fight in Gaintslayer. (stupid Ash disease.) so it can happen.

Kind of off topic or on topic depending on how you look at it, are you ok DM secret to make another character if we die or are we out. I'm asking for a friend. :)

Players are welcome at my table for as long as they like, and you're not gonna all die hopefully. OK go ahead and get those feats noted on your character sheet and yes you're still up with diehard.

Pressing forward, Garrasay swings with all his might to try and get the creature off his companions before it does even more harm. The situation is dire.

flail: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Despite the mounting pressure to save his companions, it is all he can do to simply stay on his feet as he slips and slides on the icy bank. "GRRRAAAAAAWR" his bestial howl of frustration fills the forest.

I'm going to be unconscious for at least an hour, then I get to make checks to wake up. I've got 1 CLW when I do.

If we're resting all day, then I have 2 CLW and I think Garrasay has 2 goodberries, and I think that's all the healing we have? So we'll have 2d8+2+4d4 available (avg = 21hp). Looks like we're down 15+26+3 so we'll most likely need a second rest day unless we max out all the rolls.

Can't wait til level 2 :)

M Gnoll Magus (Nature bonded) 2: HP 16/21| AC16 (20) tch10 FF16 (20) | CMD14/FF14 | F6 R0 W3

Well, tomorrow when I can memorize goodberry, if we can find a few berries (since Petal will take a week to regrow his), I can cast it up to twice for 4d4 berries that heal 1 point each with a max of 8 points to one person in a day.

I have no idea how you can feed an unconscious person a potion of healing, so I just assume that stuffing berries down someone's throat works the same way ;P

If Secret doesn't allow it, I'll just insist Mordred take them since they have already been picked.

Feed her like a bird. ;) its all good

I'll post tomorrow.

I'll have your post tonight. I'm a bit busy with work today.

Hello players,

I recently got involved in Society rules and have learned that I can issue you credit as a sanctioned module or AP. If you stay to the end of each book or module I run, I can give you credit and a chronicle sheet for you to apply to an appropriate level character for your society characters. If you are interested in having this credit let me know. This first book is for Tier 1-2 characters.

You can post here or PM me (make sure you state what game you're in if you pm) this info:

Player Name:
Character Name:
Character Chronicle #:
Faction:
Slow or Medium XP:

What ability score would you like to boost for 1 min per day if you were to get a boon.
(You don't get to make day job checks for these)

If you have any questions let me know and I will assist you.

Happy Gaming!

Hello players,

Given some suggestions and some thought I have considered to do block initiative after all. I'll be using another GM's very good example and making my own method. Hope fully this will make some of you feel a little better about timing and your post.

I will try to implement this into each game on the next combat.

Male Ulfen (Human) Slayer 1 I HP 9/12 I AC: 17(18 vs Traps) T: 12(13 vs Traps) FF:15 I CMB:4 CMD:16 I Fort 5(10 vs Cold Weather) Ref 4(5 vs Traps) Will 0 I Percep 4(5 traps) Sense Motive 4 Survival 4(5 Track) I Initiative 4 I Speed 30

How will this be effected by traits or improved initiative?

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

sweet, I always felt the Block initiative is better for so many reasons, mainly it helps DM's from burnout on checking in all the time, and of course waiting for others to post. I think it really helps the flow of PbP games. Good call, secret.

M Gnoll Magus (Nature bonded) 2: HP 16/21| AC16 (20) tch10 FF16 (20) | CMD14/FF14 | F6 R0 W3

Ggrrrrggggg. What is block initiative? RRrrrrrR.

I'll have your post ready later today and I'll show you. It's supposed to speed up combat so we gonna see how it goes.

Female LN Oread Warpriest 1 | HP 9/9 | AC: 20 Touch: 11 FF: 19 | CMB: 3 CMD: 14 CMD-FF: 13| Fort: +2 Ref: +1 Will: +5 | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft Perc: +3 Sense Motive: +3 | Speed 15ft | Blessings: 3/3 Tactician: 1/1 Magic Stone: 1/1 Crystalline Form: 1/1 | Spells 1st: 2/2 | Active Buffs: None

Roughly (I've seen some minor variations)

Instead of going strictly in initiative order, PCs post in a block, without waiting for the GM to resolve each player's actions.

So before it was
-> Player 1 does stuff
-> GM posts
-> Player 2 does stuff
-> GM posts, monsters go
-> Player 3 does stuff
-> GM posts,
-> Player 4 does stuff
-> GM posts

But now, we roll initiative normally, then
-> Players 1-2 do stuff
-> GM posts, monsters do stuff
-> Players 1-4 do stuff
-> GM posts, monsters do stuff
-> Players 1-4 do stuff

If there's multiple monster types with different initiatives, it can get more complicated (or the GM makes some monsters delay at some point so they're all the same)

It means that combat goes a lot more quickly, because there's less waiting for the right people to post.

Occasionally you might want to say "if so-and-so killed the bandit, I run to the bandit king, otherwise I hit the bandit", but that isn't really a big deal.

Male Shabti (looks almost human) 2nd lvl Cavalier (Green Knight)| AC 16 FF 15 Touch 11 | HP 4/21 | Fort +6, Ref +1, will +1 | Perception +1

Like gavania posted- except the 1-2 threw me off at first. I think it should read 1-4 on the first line.

the way I did block initiatives in all my games, are rolling initiatives for everyone by taking the average, (so in cases like stein mentioned add directly to the modifier by half, so a team with average of 3 one person takes improved initiative and they add +2 for a total of +5 grouped initiative) then roll the monsters, there is either the PC's first or monsters. because no matter how many monsters there are essentially the PC's while grouped go then monsters or vice versa.

this speeds up combat quite a bit, and I feel that in a PbP environment where every day matters the advantages outweigh the negatives.

Female LN Oread Warpriest 1 | HP 9/9 | AC: 20 Touch: 11 FF: 19 | CMB: 3 CMD: 14 CMD-FF: 13| Fort: +2 Ref: +1 Will: +5 | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft Perc: +3 Sense Motive: +3 | Speed 15ft | Blessings: 3/3 Tactician: 1/1 Magic Stone: 1/1 Crystalline Form: 1/1 | Spells 1st: 2/2 | Active Buffs: None

In my version, pcs still roll their own initiative. In the example, 1 and 2 rolled high and went faster than the enemy. 3 and 4 did not. - sorry, should've made that clear before

Male Ulfen (Human) Slayer 1 I HP 9/12 I AC: 17(18 vs Traps) T: 12(13 vs Traps) FF:15 I CMB:4 CMD:16 I Fort 5(10 vs Cold Weather) Ref 4(5 vs Traps) Will 0 I Percep 4(5 traps) Sense Motive 4 Survival 4(5 Track) I Initiative 4 I Speed 30

In the games I run I roll everyones initiative. Then I lay it out in the order as the appeared and people can post or take their turn in any order as long as they are up. Example below

Initiative
Round 1
Fred 19
Jake 17
Suzanne 12

Zombies 9
Tony 5
Amanda 4
Goblins 2

So Fred Jake and Suzanne can act in any order that they post, they go at the same time. Zombies, then Tony and Amanda, finally goblins.

The only time I jump in between PCs actions if something falls, something specific happens, or if I need to make a save or AoO

Hi all! Looks like I'll be joining you after I get a character built up. I've read through all the build rules and just wanted to introduce myself and ask if there's any role you guys would most like to have filled in at this point. I figure you know the party much better than I do and might have a better idea of where you're missing talents.

I was thinking of doing a combination chirurgeon/vivisectionist alchemist, which would cover out-of-combat heals and a mixture of rogue-like skills plus melee, since I haven't gotten to play one of those yet and it's on my list. If that doesn't fit in well I'll try to come up with something that's more appropriate for the group needs.

The other option I had in mind would be some kind of investigator (I like empiricists but maybe natural philosopher or cartographer would fit this AP better). That could cover the same rogue-ey role if needed plus a lot more skills but be less combat oriented.

All in all looking at the three characters that have posted recently you seem to be missing stealth and disable device, so I figure you'll want something that covers that area. Let me know if there's a more needed role to be filled.

I’m pretty much wondering the same thing. Any particular hole y’all need filled?
