Welcome! Discussion for "Regular Joes" 1E-feeling campaign using basic PF rules.

Character creation:

Stats:
Either: 18, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9

*OR*

One 18 and roll the rest, 4d6 drop the lowest.

Classes:
Build a 1st level commoner (max hp is PF 1st level standard).

Equipment:
Hold off for now. I'll work on it.

No traits. No backstory required. Not Golarion. No standard pantheon - that'll be revealed as we go. Making it all up as I go. If you want to make up some sort of commoner, peasant, low-life backstory, feel free.

I can't wait to see who shows up for this and what happens.

Seriously, though, how would a character progressing towards a spellcasting class work in this game?

Slant your stats towards your desired class and PM me your choice, including (if applicable), kind of familiar or animal companion or bonded object or whatever you would like to have in your build. I'll incorporate it.

Howsabout we shoot for starting first thing next week. I'll get starting gold and equipment lists out over the weekend so you can finish up.

Well despite the site eating all my formatting the first time (GRR), I think the V man is ready to roll!

This is going to be fun; I can tell. I think everybody's ready to get a little stupid.

Put some stuff about religion in the campaign tab. My inclination is not to worry about alignment or use spells that do so. Anyone see problems with this? I have not analyzed the system to formally remove alignment.

My character is now PbP-ready.

Updated my skills to include untrained. Just in case.

I was originally thinking of a ranger, but we seem to have several potential martial types already. I think I may end up going down the druid path, but we'll see what happens.
