Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
as Silas is carefully looking around for traps, Ivar gathers up the tridents carried by the warriors, walking into the room with the shark he places all but one trident on the floor then he gets reasonably close to the shark 10 ft,and prepares to throw the trident at the shark
"can always use target practice right?"
init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
it is Ivars intention to stay about 10 ft from the shark and throw the seven tridents at it, if anyone wants to join or do something else womderful

brvheart |

The shark can flop perhaps 5'.
init shark: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 1 = 24

brvheart |

You hear the faint screams of someone in pain coming from the opening to the south.

brvheart |

The shark flops towards Ivar and attempts to bite him.

Aurora Shadowbane |

Turning on the speed I run to the aide yelling war cries to the others, sword drawn it flames to life with bright holy light and purifying flames, aurora flies into rage at the sound of someone being tortured in agony.

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu grunts in surprise, and stabs at it (on his turn, if it's still alive)
Attack: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 7 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 7 = 20

Stepping into this chamber feels like entering the
gullet of a massive fish. The only light comes from
large basins cut into the limestone walls filled with
deep sea fish. These demonic looking fish, with their
strange glowing adaptations, give off the faint green
light barely illuminating the dim chamber. The alien
green glow plays off the vaulted ceiling and the two
massive coral statues of shark-like humanoids that
stand sentinel near the entryway. The overpowering
smell of brine mixed with a heavy odor of decaying
flesh and rotting sea life stand as a reminder to all
that they are but food for the hunger of some terrible
waiting maw.
Rising in the center of the room is a tiered altar
that glistens with black ichor and bloody viscera,
overlooking a pool shaped like a shark’s maw.
The pool is filled with more deep sea fish glowing
green, and a large shadow can be seen moving below
the surface. Swimming back and forth in almost
choreographed movement, the hidden beast seems to
be waiting for something.
A still more horrible sight lies atop the altar – a
Tulita man thrashes weakly, bound to the slab, his
arms gnawed to short stumps. His eyes shine an
unnatural black as he gnashes his blood stained
shark’s teeth. A bit of cloth shirt hangs wetly from
the teeth—cloth from his own shirt, snagged on his
jagged incisors when he ate his own arms.
Standing upon the altar is a large wereshark preparing to sacrifice the Tulita. Upon seeing the party enter, he summons three fiendish crocodiles.

Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4I liked the one I rolled attacking the shark out of water better
Did Aurora just run down the hall screaming about someone being tortured?
Ivar, trident still in hand, hearing Aurora yell, runs behind her to see what is going on, he follows her into the large 'temple room'
and apparently slips on a banana peel, or whatever is appropriate for rolling a one on initiative

brvheart |

Ivar, you are already in combat so you can keep the 18 you rolled earlier. I just need Silas, Leialoha and Natalie. bbl.

Natalie Desmee |

Seeing Ivar rush off into the room with tridents attacking something Natalie starts getting mentaly ready for battle when Aurora uttering a war crie rushes off. Her right becoming a blur of action Natalie draws her cutlass quickly.
initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Ivar
Silas
Natalie
Aurora
Leialoha
Oro-Tu is up then the wereshark

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu moves swiftly to protect Aurora from whatever she has found. 30ft move in front of her, raging.
Seeing the crocodiles, he swings at the one 10ft in front of him, ready to attack the other two should they approach.

bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu yells after he slays the crocodile he just swung at, "The one before me is almost dead! Stop that ritual!"
He curses the wereshark in Ronjoronjo, fairly certain it will understand.
Silas I'd go for it if you think you can grab the dagger. Not sure if it will interrupt it but if it does that would be awesome.

Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
if allowed a free attack on the shark he will throw the trident then turn and double move to the door where Aurora and Oro-tu are
throw trident attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 for damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
confirm crit. attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 for damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
if not allowed the free attack, Ivar will drop the trident and draw his war axe and double move to the doorway
Ivar turns from the shark doorway and turns running and drawing his axe to help his crewmembers.
"on my way!"
Wow, if those rolls don't count for the shark can I save the two twenties for the big bad?

brvheart |

Seems I skipped both Ivar and the sharks last attack
bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

brvheart |

Silas, even of you moved 30' you would not be within the 30' to steal the weapon. You would be 5-10' out of range.

brvheart |

Leihloha once you can see the wereshark you can make a knowledge religion

Aurora Shadowbane |

First thing I did while moving to the room was cast prayer and spent my gray flame in my move to the room. When initiative started, which everyone seems to be going before me which is a good thing actually because now I can move and cast Murderous Command on the crocodiles, Natalie shot the Tulita being sacrificed to prevent the completion of the ritual. It may be for the best.
There is no way I am going to let the evil bastard win, he will not take this mans life while he has life in him
YOU BASTARD, YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED, MY GOD IS GREATER THAN YOURS AND CONTROLS POWER OVER LIFE AND DEATH, PREPARE TO FACE HIS WRATH.
Don't bother killing the gators, I will make them kill each other, go for that guy and stop him
for my swift action, I do a blessing for holy strike on my weapon

Oro-Tu |

Silas since you are out of range even moving to be able to do the glove, why not grease his weapon? Did you have grease? Oh I think that was Wexley.

Natalie Desmee |

Moving to get a better view Natalie draws out her crossbow. Once in a position to see she drops her sword and aims down the crossbows sights. Making a snap decision she decides to spare the victim anymore pain and agony as she fires the weapon.

will save croc2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Oro-Tu |

You can charm if threatening but it would get a + 5 bonus to it. Silas might have DC boosters but otherwise I think it's 14 (2 spell level + 2 charisma)

Leialoha |

Leialoha moves to the doorway, taking in the full extent of the ritual. Unsure of how powerful the wereshark is and whether he can stop the ritual by slaying the priest, he casts grease on the ceremonial dagger using his alchemical grease as a component. DC 18 Reflex save

He is a Dalang, a Disciple of Dajobas. Quite powerful and a leader in the cult.

The seawater begins to bubble and the dire shark beneath the surface thrashes madly. The bubbling water soon turns crimson and the entire pool begins to froth with red foam. The green glow cast by the deep-sea creatures becomes a kaleidoscope of red light as Dajobas’ infernal power begins to ignite the pool.

Aurora Shadowbane |

Fighting the big guy of Dajobas
Lets flank him and pop his top off.
Remember prayer, +1 hit, dam and saves, -1 to the enemy; Enemy under glitterdust, -2 AC and loses dex to AC.
Casting Bull Strength on myself and move into position, touching Ivar with a Blessing as a swift on arrival with Warmind (+10 move, +1 insight attack or +1 dodge ac).
Next round i will move over to flank and take my attack

Natalie Desmee |

As she starts to move forward Natalie takes her hand off the crossbow and picks up her cutlass. She briskly walks into the room and as close to a flank with Oro-Tu.
