Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu nods at Silas "It is safe, but no way out here."
He then nods to Ivar also, and will head back to the other branch of the tunnel system.

brvheart |

The other tunnel leads out to open water. The villagers, upon seeing the dead Iku-Tursas will head out in canoes to give the party to the village. Tulita tribes realize what is at stake and begin to prepare for the return of the Shark God. Tal’ou along with other elders award the party 4,000 gp worth of precious polished shells and obsidian. They also offer the PCs a small chest that contains sea charts for the Razor Coast that add a +5 to Knowledge (geography) checks to ply the waters of the Razor Coast.

Silas Frey |

Silas thanks the elders for the gifts. "The black shark is out attacking people around the Razor Coast. If you come across any signs of attack can you let us know. We can be contacted through the Church of the Sea God in Port Shaw. "

brvheart |

Yes Silas, Dajobas is far from finished with the Razor Coast, but now the Tulita tribes realize what is at stake and begin to prepare for the return of the Shark God.

You all arrive back safely in Port Shaw and go to the Chapter House.
Let's get our new player in. You can role play meeting her!

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Uraisa was waiting a bit impatiently at the Chapter House. "I thought you said they were supposed to be back by now. I don't suppose they've headed out on a pleasure cruise...and I didn't even get an invitation," she complains to Zalen with a pout.

Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
the chapter house, I still don't understand the significance, I realized the priest has a connection to previous hero's and he is an ally, But he's not on the crew, well, it doesn't matter
As they walk into the charter house Ivar is still discussing the fish hook with Aurora. As the light changes from the bright Port Shaw sun to he dark interior of the chapter house Ivar notices Zalen is talking to an attractive well dressed colonial, Ivar nods to the two of them and waits for one of the senior crew members to speak to Zalen.
he turns back to Aurora handing her the fishhook and quietly says
It's up to you Aurora, I will be satisfied either way, a lovely do-dad or a ton of money.
Ivar turns from his crewmember and introduces himself to the local lady
Greetings, my name is Ivar, I'm the newest member of Silas' crew,

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Urasia smiles brightly as the group finally makes their way into the room. "Ah, I'm glad to see you group. I was told you might need a hand with your tasks. A bit of a bandage, as it were. Hello Ivar, I'm Urasia. Nice to make your acquaintance."
"And who might this interesting fellow be," the lady asks as she smiles at the tulita. "Pleasure to meet you as well."
The colonial was armed with a spear, but did not seem to be wearing any armor as she presented to the group. She had a few wands poking out from her backpack, but other than that she didn't seem to be encumbered by too much in the way of gear.

Captain Montgomery Donovan |

Donovan spends the days while you were gone recruiting crew per Silas's instructions. You don't always get what you want:)
Diplomacy checks to recruit crew while you were gone:
diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Three of the days he is successful.
Day One recruiting: 1d10 + 40 ⇒ (4) + 40 = 44 type: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (18) + 30 = 48
Day Two recruiting: 1d10 + 40 ⇒ (5) + 40 = 45 type: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (12) + 30 = 42
Day Four recruiting: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 type: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (14) + 30 = 44
Day one 44% of desired 60 abled seaman =26 12 seamen, 14 able seamen
Day two 42% of desired 60 abled seaman =25 11 seamen, 14 able seamen
Day four 46% of desired 60 abled seaman = balance of 9 4 seamen, 5 able
seamen.
For a total of:
27 seamen
33 able seamen

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu grunts, making the expected 'civilized' greeting of a handshake. He obviously is not the most talkative member of the party before warming up to someone. "Natalie fled. We could do well with another in her stead." He says to Zalen, though looks skeptical at the replacement for the very able Natalie.
He leaves Silas and Leialoha to discuss things with Zalen, watching quietly.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

"Oh, yet another of the island folk! How positively wonderful. I can't wait to learn more about you both. And you others, too, of course. I'm sorry that one of your others left the group. Happens from time to time."

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu grunts, "Unfortunate, as Silas would say."
He fiddles with Ivar's sharktooth dagger, noting its craftsmanship to be able to replicate it as requested by him.

Silas Frey |

Silas has been a little quiet since realising Natalie had left them, but steps forward and introduces himself to Uraisa, notably because of Zalen's recommendation. "Welcome to our... crew I guess now as we have responsibilities with our own vessel. We've been through a fair number since I came back to this place, but everyone has walked away so that's a positive. I'm Silas by the way."

brvheart |

Oro-tu, with the +5 you make your save and realize someone has been attempting to use to scry on the party!

Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson |
well, she seems to be happy working with 'islanders' that's odd for a colonial from what I hear, so what's her story
Ivar smiles and forgetting his manners offers to shake her hand, after Oro-Tu. After they release the hand shake Ivar smiles slightly and asks, as he spreads his hands gesturing to the Chapter house, but more specifically to the group of intrepid shark killers.
"so tell us Uraisa, what brings a girl like yourself to a place like this."

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu holds up a hand for silence, barking, "Quiet!"
He looks around, attempting to find the source of the disturbance. He speaks in a low voice, "Someone is using foul magics to attempt to watch us, I can feel it."

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu nods, "You would know how, Leialoha. I will help however I can, but know nothing of these sorceries."

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Uraisa begins to answer Ivar's question, but is quickly shushed by Oru-Tu's pronouncement. "So, you've made powerful enemies, huh? Maybe the former owners of that spiffy new boat of yours, perhaps? On the bright side, there aren't a ton of powerful spellcasters in town. We might be able to track them down," she whispers.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

"Tell me more about this Ring. I'd like to be prepared for whatever enemies you might have made."
If someone wants to tell me in the discussion thread, that's fine. There's a lot of pages in this thread, so I haven't tried to read it all.

brvheart |

Presuming Silas uses his contacts to find someone who can make the rods
rnd: 1d3 ⇒ 1 days later a man in robes appears. "I am Kayden. I understand you want something made. I can do that presuming you are willing to do something for me in return when you are finished with your current tasks. If you are agreeable, you must all accept a geas to complete my task"

brvheart |

"I need you to retrieve the Shaghaspondium from the evil wizard Serten and find a means to destroy it and do so. I will give further details later."

Oro-Tu |

Oro-Tu looks at the robed man, watching him menacingly as Silas talks to him. He keeps eyes out for any tricks, considering the Ring watching them recently.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

brvheart |

He is an archmage and can cast at the 17th level the rods are designed for so unlikely

Uraisa Ellsworth |

"I'm not particularly keen on taking a spell to ensure I carry out a task, but if it's a way to prove myself to you lot, I suppose I'll go first," Uraisa gulps as she steps forward to the mage.

brvheart |

I would not force that on a new person Gerald. The other five are what he is most concerned about. Yours is completely optional as you have not really joined the group.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Eh, I don't look at it as being forced. I want Uraisa to earn her spot in the group, especially after the scrying incident right after she was introduced. She is willing to undergo the "hazing," so to speak!

Oro-Tu |

While Silas probes his contacts, Oro-Tu accompanies Ivar to the tattooist, and picks one out for himself, though it is only half done when Ivar's is finished. "Want to come back with me to finish it?" he asks Ivar, admiring both his partially done tattoo of a serpent looping around his arm and Ivar's Axe tattoo.
If Silas and Leialoha agree to do it, Oro-Tu will also agree, though he would never be a willing recipient of that spell and would try to save against it.
However it would be obvious that Oro-Tu would accompany his companions anywhere, even if the geas was on everyone but him, to protect them.
