I freely admit to having trouble keeping up with not just posting but actually following what's happening. I thought the online format would be easy to follow but I'm lost more often than not. So even when I get a chance to post, I mostly have no idea what's happening. I find the various narratives difficult to keep track of, and knowing the inner thoughts of each character throws me off.

Not necessarily bowing out, just piping up.

I'm very much enjoying the game, so no complaints on my end.

I'm enjoying the game very much; until now I have mostly played with amateur GMs who never strayed from what is written in the book and didn't give much space for character building. This style of play is interesting to me, and I feel like I actually am a narrator helping to create a story and not just a dice-rolling pawn for a pre-written adventure. My only problem is my posting schedule; I live in a boarding school with terrible to sometimes nonexistent Wi-Fi connection, study a lot and am expected to do homework or practise the piano on my free time. I do, however, manage to find some time to catch up and post my actions and thoughts. I feel like I'm not as involved as others in the story, but I see this as a problem caused by myself alone and is in no way your fault.
All in all, I'm enjoying the game immensely, and expect it to become even more interesting now that everyone are unlocking more of their abilities and discovering more of their, and Lorrimor's, past. While sometimes I feel like I'm not as creative as I should be for this game, I will continue and try to improve and make this game successful. Thank you!

My life is one of those that is a bit of a mess right now as Scott alluded to, but I am really enjoying this campaign. I don't have any want or plan to take a break from it, but I may not be able to offer a daily post, but every 2-3 days shouldn't be a problem.

I don't have any complaints with the narrative itself, and I am really enjoying writing Dmitry's character (though I will admit that I'm perhaps the worst offender of the inner thoughts/monologue thing - finding it hard to resist since Dmitry exists so much inside of his head, ha!) I like the party interplay thus far and find all characters to be engaging as well. The DMing style is top notch.

Thanks for your feedback; just waiting for one or two other participants to comment.

I have one suggestion to help with Magdalen's difficulties. In addition to putting our characters' speeches in boldface, perhaps we can try to put any internal monologuing in italics? That should make it clearer what info is clear and apparent to other characters, vs info that, while not immediately visible or relevant, may bubble up to the surface later on.

The other suggestion, and one with which I can help, is using this Discussion thread as a cross-posting site anytime Important Plot Info comes up. If it's VERY IMPORTANT PLOT INFO, I'll add it to the static Campaign Info tab, so it's readily available at any time.

For example: let's say the PC-X finds evidence revealing that Professor Lorrimor was murdered by a one-legged man. You can help keep the plot clear by cross-posting on Discussion: "Keep an eye out for suspicious-looking one-legged men."

Whereas if, a little bit later, the identity of the one-legged man is revealed, I can update the Campaign Info page to read: "The Lorrimor Inheritants are currently hot on the trail of the Professor's killer, a one-legged fishmonger named Lutz."

Basically, the Discussion thread can be for collecting plot seeds, while the Campaign Info thread can be the current mission or statement of purpose. Does that make sense?

I agree with Magdalen wholly. I like the ideas of those changes, but I think the necessity of stressed conciseness will be the most efficient fix.

I want to feel immersed in this game, and whenever I return to the thread I feel lost as to what the scenario actually is, and thus processing how Wictor would act and react under full knowledge of the scene becomes difficult at times. And this is NOT the fault of any singular person!

I want to play because I think the caliber of roleplay is very high here, and I think that being in league with you all will help me learn through experience how to become more proficient in story craft and roleplaying nuances. That being said, the reasons why I want to play are being rebuffed by the difficulties I have expressed in the previous paragraph.

I definitely need a break, however short. I really enjoy this game when I understand what is taking place, and as we progress our mechanical functions, relationships and internal character developments will certainly become more strengthened and elastic. Perhaps simply time is the answer.

That's everyone heard from except Esdras, who unfortunately has to withdraw from the game for the time being.

It sounds like most of the remaining players are on board, though many are struggling with issues related to time and/or to the format. I'm going to recommend a break -- this seems like a narratively suitable point, so I'd rather do it now than wait till we're in the middle of combat or something. I'll spend some time reading other PbPs, to pick up ideas about how to streamline and compartmentalize information.

How would it suit the rest of you to try again in May? I'd suggest earlier, but I know that I'm going to get extremely busy in April.

Shortly I'll post a wrap-up/teaser over on the Gameplay thread.

Ah, ten weeks feels like both such a short time and a whole eternity! I was having a lot of fun with the game until now and am sad to see it take a long break, but I know it's for the best. I will use this time to build Ivan's past to more than the generic tragic "everyone I knew died" backstory, and hopefully hone my creative skills.

Thank you to everyone who have played in this game until now, and best of luck in whatever you will choose to do during this break!

Hoo boy, I am really antsy for y'all to come back so we can get this puppy rolling again!

Hello all, sorry I have been so long in posting.

I bear sad tidings: I don't think it's practical for me to continue running the campaign right now. I just endured a major move, and I have a new job starting shortly. Plus -- not that I don't love you all very much, and enjoy gaming with you online -- I now have some opportunities for live, tabletop campaigns with old friends which I would be remiss not to pursue.

Sorry to have kept you on the hook. I hate to cut it short just when we were gaining some momentum. If the occasion for another online campaign arises, I'll be sure to track you down and give you first right of refusal.

Cheers and best wishes!
Scott

Scott, I'm super sorry to see you go, I very much enjoyed this game.

That said, would you be offended if we sought out another GM and continued playing this campaign? (assuming the others are amenable, which I haven't asked yet)

While I find it very sad that you must leave us, I am sure that you are doing it for your and our best.

I wouldn't object if you went to seek a GM to take on this game for us, but I doubt there is someone who can handle this version's intricacies as well as Scott.

Yeah, it'd probably end up reverting back to more standard high fantasy/normal Golarion timeline, but I enjoy RPing with you guys and would like to continue.

Of course I wouldn't mind. I might even lurk!

Well, zero people have responded to my PM so I guess that's a wrap. Scott if you were waiting to mark the campaign inactive now's probably fine.

Aw... well, it was a pleasure playing with you folks. I hope to meet you again on the virtual tabletop, for a perhaps longer lived game.

Sorry, was out of town for a few days.

I wouldn't be opposed to continuing. I'm really enjoying the dynamics and interactions we have going in this campaign.
