I am perfectly fine with CORE, even the Rogue (though I admit I prefer the Unchained one in this case), at least as far as classes go. I admit I do like some of the options afforded by APG and ARG though.
I'm fine with APG, some of ACG and most of ARG.

Apologies it is taking so long to level Garrosh up - it is a mix between not knowing what to choose, and lack of time... It'll be done tomorrow morning at the latest.
GM Hands of Fate
no problem, I'm swamped here at work and working an additional 30+ hours a week for my home business...
Garrosh Saurfang
Would you mind if I asked what is your home business? If it is intruding just ignore me :D
Agyen the Eternal
All done leveling.
I'm fine with most books, but most people in my groups stick mostly to core anyway.
I definitely won't be allowing stuff from OA at any of my home games, because the classes are soooo complicated. Sure Agyen's fun to play, but he's so complicated that if this wasn't a PBP, he'd seriously bog down the game. He's probably more complex than most psychics, (being old and a samsaran and such) but on the other hand psychic is probably the least complex class in that book and he mostly has basic passive feats, so he's probably not that bad of an example.

I feel you man. I can't even comprehend most of the psychic stuff. I'm only really ok with the Mesmerist, because of its kinda of a debuff bard. Super flavorful for an Batman villain campaign.
Ha, an all vigilante game where a decent profession skill is a must.

OA is another I don't like. Don't worry, Agyen, I won't kill you over it. There are so many other ways to kill you in RA, I shouldn't need to try ;)
Gavmania
I'm still getting my head round OA; I probably wouldn't use much of it except the Ghost rider which looks cool. As for the rest of the books, 90% I would never use, the other 10% I couldn't live without. Sadly, I would rather they brought out a 2nd edition adding the 10% that works and cutting out the rest. It comes to something when e.g. there are a dozen classes/archetypes that are better skill monkeys than rogues, making them obsolete. Better just to rewrite the Rogue than create endless variations to replace it. Of course that won't stop me using those classes/archetypes, if necessary with a roguish slant, but not without a touch of sadness.
Unchained was a welcome opportunity to right some of those wrongs, though it would have been better to bring it out as a 2nd edition; for example unchained Monk is not compatible with most archetypes (such as Zen Archer). a second edition would have sorted that, along with some issues of certain classes/feats being overpowered and others not working as intended (Dimensional Assault chain, I'm looking at you). Theres only so long you can keep putting a band aid on it, it's way past time it got fixed.

I just don't think psychic powers and magic work well in the same setting. Look at how comic book universes start making next to zero sense the more types of "plot energy" and whatever start running about. It makes the setting more coherent if there's only one violation of the laws of physics present.
Garrosh Saurfang
Garrosh is now leveled up (at last):
+1 Warpriest level
+8 +2 = +10HP
+1 BAB
+1 Fort Save
+1 Will Save
Abilities gained:
Channel energy
Sacred weapon +1
Level 2 spells (2)
Feat: Furious Focus
Skills: Intimidate, Kn. (Religion), Perception, UMD
GM Hands of Fate
Reynaud, could you please put all skills which can be used untraoined in your stat block, so I can reference if needed? Thanks.
Belle PBP
Belle has a real nice format for listing skills if you are interested, though it takes up a lot of space (thus the spoiler). I stole it from another player I have to admit, though I think I made improvements.
Gavmania
Sounds like we're at a crossroads. We can keep digging, or we can try to cross the slime.
Personally, I vote for the slime. We know there are places over there to explore, but the tunnel? Might lead nowhere, might take ages, who knows? I say we come back when we've got nothing better to do.
GM Hands of Fate
OK, my assumptions
1) build a rock bridge over the slime.
2) return to the cesspits and retrieve the other items using the unseen servant
after that, I see 3 options.
1) If you choose to continue south from the cave that had the desk in it and continue exploring, turn to page 47.
2) If you choose to return to the rubble choked room and continue to excavate, turn to page 48
3) If you choose to exit the mausoleum to rest, or return to civilization, turn to pave 105.
Some of you may get that...
I'll go ahead with the first 2 points and you can tell me how you want to proceed.
GM Hands of Fate
Belle - on your character sheet, what is "AoNA" after your Armor Class?
AC 18, flat-footed 15, touch 13 (10 +3[dex] +4[mage armor] +1[AoNA])
and a reminder, please make sure all your skills, trained or untrained, are present in your stat block. Especially things like Stealth, Perception, etc. I shouldn't nedd to calculate these every time I need to roll...

Oh man... Don't even go there... City of Thieves (Ian Livingstone - Penguin Books) was a Christmas gift back in 1990, and the reason why I got started in RPGs - geeeeez, that brings back memories.
The collection is still there, in my bookcase :D
Gavmania
I remember those days. I took mine on holiday with me to the Lake district and had a pleasant week flipping to different pages. It was the first one to be published, Can't even remember what it was called. Probably about 1982 or 83.
BTW, I vote we turn to page 47
Belle PBP
Which direction is 6 of one half-dozen of the other to me. Consider me to vote whichever way makes the decision go faster.
GM Hands of Fate
Ok, I have to admit, I have no idea where you are now and where you want to go. You had been in the latrine room. I will move everyone to the latrine room and Tony to the desk room. From there, I think you are going South? Or at you going to try and go through one of the rat tunnels? I am getting conflicting posts.
GM Hands of Fate
Belle: Rat Tunnel
Garrosh: Rat Tunnel
Brodin: South
Belle: Rat Tunnel
Tony: Rat Tunnel?
GM Hands of Fate
alright, so Tony is going in alone.
Random Number 1: 1d20 ⇒ 20

50-50 split. And no idea where Agyen has got to.I have dropped him a couple lines but no answer.
So, knowing you are down one player, who may or may not be back, what would you like to do?
Belle PBP
Compromise. One more room then go back. OK?
Belle really needs to get some spells in her spell book and we have treasure to spend. The former could be done with a one-nighter, but why not spend some of the loot?
GM Hands of Fate
OK so that's 2 for going forward. Unless I hear otherwise, I'll move forward.
Belle PBP
@hand
Could we get a link to the loot tracker on the campaign page? Also we pried some sapphire eyes from the gargoyles that I'm not seeing there.
@everyone else
Does anyone remember how many we got? There were two from the one we dragged in the building when the ghouls showed up and I think we got two more before they arrived, but my thread search is proving difficult.
Belle added the bag of holding to her inventory and put the heavy spellbooks from the deceased mages in there.
GM Hands of Fate
1) when I get a minute.
2)no one actually picked up the sapphire gargoyle eyes. I remember that being a bone of contention before I joined. No one picked them up, and they were gone when you went back for them.
Belle PBP
I thought we got one pair right after the battle and dragged one inside the mausoleum and got two more in there.
Gavmania
Brodin, are you suggesting a change to the SOP for doors and chests?
Yes, I guess so. For that matter, anyone can search, and the more eyes the better; Tony is still best to disable traps (especially magical ones), and it would be better to leave that part be.
Belle PBP
I found the post about the eyes Magnus got too, but I could not find a post about grabbing the eyes outside the building which is why I asked. I had thought we were able to get one eye or pair of eyes out there as well, but could not find the post. I was hoping someone could find what I could not.
