Actually the first attack hit Mitleid they are only AC 11 and if I take the damage rolled for the second it killed it.
Two leeches attack Elathras while the rest move slowly towards Mitleid, but cannot reach him.
bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 plus attach
bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 plus attach
Three leeches are now dead. Virgil is up them Top of Round Four
Virgil the Vigilant |
Virgil stumbles forward, stretching out a hand to try and catch himself on the wall. 'Grúk promptly high-fives it instead. After steadying himself, Virgil leans on one of the walls as he takes aim and fires at one of the southern leeches.
"Get out of there, man!" he shouts to Elathras.
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Wdrozgrúk |
"Thanks!" Wdrozgrúk says to Irenicus and Dolgrin and then quickly shoots a fire ray at the leach just south-east of him.
fire ray: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
He then follows Kaztor's advice and runs back into the other room (room 12). Giving Virgil high fives on the way past him.
"Kaztor, I burnt one of them, but I think your hammer would be useful against them. Still quite a few left."
Mitleid |
Seeing no leech directly next to him Mitleid lets loose another two arrows.
FL: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
FL: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Trying to confirm
conf: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 242d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 1) + 4 = 13
Seeing one of his shoots solidly connecting a wide grin appears on the dwarfen face...
"Hah another one, come here you suckers, I have more arrows for you." before stepping another five foot back to get more breathing space.
Elathras Narcinal |
Seeing the leeches head toward his friend, Elathras calls out "Run Mitleid, Run!" then realizing two leaches are attacking his legs he screams "eeewww" and tries to knock them off.
two standard actions, both break grapple, fatigued, AC 17
CM check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
CM check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
can anyone in the doorway attack the leech east of Elathras or is the statue in the way?
brvheart |
Unless your barbarian has some feat I am not aware of you cannot take two standard actions in one round Elathras. You are better off attacking them and eating the possible drain and relying on your allies to help kill them.
Elathras Narcinal |
sorry forgot it was a move action/standard action or move action/move action, not standard action/standard action. either way he rolled a 3 on the first d20 roll so even if it was an attack it would have only been an 8 so both are stuck to him, can I assume he dropped the pole arm [two handed weapon) to attack with the axe (one handed weapon), that way if someone wants to pick up the polearm (reach weapon) to poke at the leaches they can?
Seeing the leeches head toward his friend, Elathras calls out "Run Mitleid, Run!" then realizing two leaches are attacking his legs he screams "eeewww" and dropping his guisarme he pulls out his gnoll axe and attacks the one on his leg, missing terribly.
Kaztor Strongforge |
Kaz readies an action to attack any of the leeches that might come out of their room, whether on their own or attached to someone.
Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
Rd4
Dolgrin readies his sword once more, holding the door. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
brvheart |
Elathras has 2 leeches on him guys. He failed to break grapple so he is stuck there. He cannot move. I think some are under the mistaken impression that he can drag the leeches with him. Unless he controls the grapple he cannot. Without help he WILL die.
When a giant leech hits with a bite attack, it latches onto its target and automatically grapples.
A grappled creature is restrained by a creature, trap, or effect. Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.
Mitleid |
"Lads, clean our barb and move it."
Mitleid shoots at the left leech.
Flurry: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Flurry: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
The first arrow misses, but the second solidly hurts his target. Moving 5 foot to the right to keep distance Mitleid chuckling draws two more arrows.
brvheart |
Irenicus fires a force missile at the leech on Elathras.
fm: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The leeches move closer to Mitleid. The ones on Elathras get bite damage automatically
damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 He takes 2 points of STR and CON damage.

they must be sucking my blood feeling woozy and weak, Elathras yells I have two on me! Dolgrin pick up my Gusiarme and attack the one on the left!" Elathras then pulls out his gnoll axe and attacks the one on the right.

Elathras kills the one leech, but will need help with the other as he is badly drained and fatigued. He is also very low on HP. There are three leeches left. Irenicus, Dolgrin, Kaztor and Gruk are up.
Kaztor Strongforge |
Kaz shakes his head, but enters the room, swinging his hammer at the closest leech.
Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
brvheart |
Kaz squashes a dead leech. He can't reach any live ones on this turn. The one on Elathras is on the other side of the huge statue. You do notice a secret door at the rear of the base of the statue though Kaz.
Irenicus |
Irenicus launches another orb of light at the one on Elathras.
Force missle: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"Kill it and drag them out of there by all the Gods, or there will be two more burials today."
Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
Dolgrin casually stabs the leech and then flings it off Elathras.
You know we're not going to let you forget being outwrestled by a bug, right? Get over here, you lug.
Dolgrin smiles, his words jovial.
brvheart |
You hit it hard Dolrin, but did not quite kill it so it is still attached.
brvheart |
Rolling Dolgrin's confirm
confirm crit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 extra damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
Dead leech. Gruk and Mitleid are up
Elathras Narcinal |
Elathras gives Dolgrin a big hug and smiles, "outwrestled by a bug, Ha it was two bugs! Ha Ha" he then turns serious again and asks "Is friend Mitleid ok?" looking south to see how the spunky monk was doing.
Mitleid |
Carefully taking aim Mitleid shoots again at the left one.

Virgil the Vigilant |
Virgil draws his bowstring back, squinting his eyes in the dim torchlight at the leech to the South-East. "Hang on Mitleid, we're almost out of this mess. I've decided: I hate leeches."
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 161d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Elathras Narcinal |
seeing Mitleid attacked by a leech Elathras stops hugging Dolgrin and grasping his axe in both hands rushes to help the dwarf, yelling Hang on Friend Mitleid, Help is coming! as he arrives he swings the axe taking careful aim not to hit the dwarf.

All the leeches are dead. XP=775 each. There is still the matter off the secret door on the statue.
brvheart |
The skeleton of a dead adventurer lies in the chamber underneath the statue. It wears chainmail and has a longsword and a short bow, in addition to a belt pouch containing 30 gp and a gem worth 50 gp.
Elathras Narcinal |
Elathras calls over to Kaztor, "Kaztor, Mitlied and I are hurt, can you help us?" he then walks up to the skeleton and looking over it says, "Nice armor, does anyone need heavier armor?"
brvheart |
The party all moves to room 8, the bunk room for a well deserved rest.
Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
Now that it's quiet, I can lend some of note's grace.
I have 4d6 of lay on hands remaining, if we're going to stop for the evening I can patch up whatever channel doesn't cover. No useful mercies yet though. For ease of PBP, just roll your own and say you're using one of those charges.
Kaztor Strongforge |
Kaz detects magic on the items and heals to best of his ability.
I have one CLW and a channel left today. Channel is first then the spell to whomever needs it.
Channel 1d6 ⇒ 5
CLW 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Mitleid |
Feeling all his wounds heal after the channel Mitleid thanks Kaztor and the healing power bestowed by Dwerfeter, before carefully taking stock of his arrows and then returning to the fire for some pow-wow.
"Well lads... it seems we have done some gud exploring here. Am mightily proud. What is the tally of loot so far... because I get the bad feeling this bow is just not good enough for yours truly. I can do ... so much more with a decent, or better bow!"
Elathras Narcinal |
brvheart, sorry we didn't post traveling to the room, Paizo went down on us! Elathras is down 21 so he will use Kaztors 7 (and 5 with everyone else) so now he is down 9, with the lay on of hands from dolgrin he is now - 2, after resting it will be - 1. The 5 will heal Gruk and Mitleid, Virgil was at 16/22 so the 5 takes him to 21/22 so resting overnight will heal him, was anyone else injured?
Elathras is down 3 con and 2 str, Virgil is down 3 con, I'm good with resting for a night and being cautious, any opinions?
After the team deciding a rest would be best, Elathras leads them to the sleeping chamber they found not far away, limping into the chamber Elathras says "I don't feel good Kaztor" after receiving ministrations from Kaztor he says that's a little better, when Dolgrin says he can "lend note's of grace" Elathras raises his torn up armor showing a large infected bite from one of the leeches and asks,"will that help this, Dogrin?" as Dolgrin nods his head yes he lays hands on Elathras' booboo. Nodding his head, thanking Dolgrin He asks "Shall we do watches in our regular order?"
LOoH: 1d6 ⇒ 5
LOoH: 1d6 ⇒ 2
This Has been the order for watches: 1- Irenicus, Dolgrin 2- Elathras, Gruk 3- Virgil, Mitleid, Kaztor.
Updated map
brvheart |
I added the 5 from the channel already to those figures Elathras so you are still down and Virgil is down 6. He could use another of those LoH
Elathras Narcinal |
my assumption was that he would gain back one con. with the rest tonight; putting him at 12 con, and 16 str. so his max would be 25 HP right? Normally (Hit Points: 27 [(12 + 9) + (2 x 2 con ) + (2 x 1 FC) so subtract off the two HP he looses for being down 2 con
I'm good for a 5 day rest or going to the caste or a one day rest and limping on, It just seems weird to go "OK now were are going to lay in the dark for five days," I would think we would get restless.
brvheart |
In the morning, you are correct. I am still getting Virgil's healing done first. I have him at 20. So yes he will only be one 1 short of full by morning. You guys could probably hole up in this room for up to three days.
