Sorry the effects do not have a translation to a pathfinder spell, but seem beneficial. This is old school stuff here in most of the magic. Which is why I was grumbling. It was not intended that you were to be able to figure it out without drinking, etc the water. RAI rather than RAW here.

Irenicus |

Irenicus nods to himself. "The yellow pool seems to have a beneficial effect on the imbiber. Let's try to discern it's full effect before concluding it though." He says to Virgil as he walks past. "Keep an eye on him. He might come around soon."
This was pool D correct? Does he appear to be healed or something else? Regaining consciousness? Can I tell anything with that heal check in addition to feeding it to him? That leaves the no school pool (E?) that I don't know about. roll20 seems to be back up.
He goes to fetch some of the green liquid in the same way, and then slaps Jack lightly to wake him.

brvheart |

He is at -10 HP so you are not going to wake him. How long are you going to wait after giving him the water from pool E?

Elathras Narcinal |

seems like all the bugs are dead, wonder what else is in there Elathras, retrieving his torch, curious to see what else is in the bug room goes in and takes a look around, torch and polearm in hand enters through the door he opened and looks around.

Four of the nests contain some shiny treasure that attracted the stirges’ attention: these are a necklace of small jade beads (100 gp), a shiny silver piece, a shiny silver mirror (200 gp), and a glittering little diamond (350 gp)

Elathras Narcinal |

Elathras gathers up the shiney parts and takes them to Virgil, handing him the items he asks "What are we doing with the water? Shall we go find Irenicus? Or wait for him?"

Virgil the Vigilant |

Virgil lowers his suspicious (and half-empty) waterskin into the nearest pool (C - Detect magic), waiting for the indicative bubbling of escaping air.
"Jack seems to have made it..."
The Ranger pulls out the waterskin, offering it around... "Anyone? No?" Before taking a long draft...

Elathras Narcinal |

I think Irenicus said this one seemed beneficial willing to trust his friend Irenicus, Elathras stoops down by the golden pool d and scooping it out with his hand drinks some.

Elathras Narcinal |

Elathras reaches and stretches a little, turning his neck this way and that, finally smiles and says, "That was refreshing, you should all try it! It makes me feel..." he stops and thinks for a moment and finally says "tougher." Tired of waiting for Irenicus and his experements Elathras goes back out into the hallway and turning left continues the way they were going, keeping a keen eye.

Jack is getting, err rigid as time goes by and struggles less in his sleep.

The illusion conceals a shaft down into the darkness. Iron rungs are set into the stones to serve as a ladder which leads all the way down to the next level.

Elathras Narcinal |

hearing Virgil say something about a hole, elathras returns to the water room and asks, "Shall we go down?" without waiting he sets his torch and pole arm down and begins to descend the rails, testing each one before he puts his weight on it, keeping a keen eye out for trouble

seeing that the ladder comes down to a hallway 10' wide. It is at the end of a short corridor that goes to a t-intersection, Elathras reclimbs the ladder rungs as he does so he grabs a rusty rung.

Elathras Narcinal |

ow getting up at the bottom of the pit, Elathras calls to Vigil, "Virgil, I do not like the rungs, would you drop me a rope and let me climb up?" after the party drops Elathras a rope he will attempt to climb the rope instead of the rungs. When he gets to the top he tells Virgil "It's a hallway Virgil, we have hallways up here, lets explore them first and then go look at the hallway down stairs." As Elathras is talking he gathers his torch and weapon and returns to the hallway.

Elathras Narcinal |

Elathras rubs his head at least it doesn't hurt as much this time, is that a good thing or a bad thing, picking up his torch and pole arm and tossing them out of the pit he calls "Would someone please drop me a rope?"

brvheart |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Katzor, next time you on Elathras is rather badly hurt from falls again.

Elathras Narcinal |

Elathras, lowers his head, looking sheepish, not wanting to admit he ran off when Virgil started to tinker with the trap, seeing the rope, Elathras smiles, climbing up he declares "Virgil is my friend, lets go look at the doors Virgil" returning to the northern hallway, Elathras checks the western door for anything suspicious

Kaztor Strongforge |

43 posts since I checked in last! You guys wrote a novel today, lol! I'm going to read through every very thing before I post.
Kaz takes a gulp from the pool that the others said was beneficial. He doesn't take sips from any of the other pools unless given instructions from the others as to the effect. He wasn't good at identifying magic, and didn't want to risk it,
Kaz follows the others to where the orcs warned them about. After watching the others blunder their way through the traps made him just shake his head. He saw Ela bleeding all over. "Come here, boy. Let me patch you up," the dwarf grumbles.

before searching room 13
Elathras quickly responds when Kaz called him, a little embarrassed that he fell in the pit, he didn't want to say anything, when the dwarf was done healing him Elathras, moves his neck around and final says "Thanks, Kaztor, it feels as good as can be expected."

brvheart |

There is a pile of 8 skulls in the northeast corner of this room, which is otherwise completely empty and filled with dust and normal cobwebs. The skulls are normal, but each one has a small hole bored into the top.

brvheart |

Your orcs spot a couple of elves, three humans and a dwarf passing by them to the south moving away from them.

Elathras Narcinal |

did the Orcs tell us immediately, or did they wait a little? does anyone want to meet the other party in RA?
that's odd Elathras picks up one of the eight skulls, looking at it wonder what caused that? he returns to the group passing the skull to them asking "Why would it have a hole?" as the group looks at the skull Elathras proceeds to the door ending in the eastern corridor and carefully inspects it.
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

They waited a bit to make sure they passed. Well, you did manage to find the door on that 2 Elathras! You don't find anything else Virgil.
