Black stone stairs lead down to this room from the ruined tower above in a staircase that the characters estimates has taken them about forty feet underground. The room at the bottom of the staircase has six doors leading out, each one set into the far end of a ten-foot-by-ten-foot alcove in the wall. There is a faint smell of old rot in the air, like a graveyard, and any torches carried by the characters gutter slightly in the stale air.

I like the woods, Happy to be wondering through the woods again, Elathras follows the directions "to head south following the river to the big hill to the south about eight miles, look for a ruined tower" when they find the ruined tower and the staircase, Elathras turns his nose at the smell and asks "are you guys sure" As the party nods their heads at him he retrieves a torch and flint and steel from his gear. Lighting the torch, torch in one hand, pole arm in the other he descends the stairs entering a large room with six Alcoves and doors, being careful looking around. He asks "which door first? left to right or right to left?"

After inspecting the giant room. virgil and Elathras decide on the most northern door, Elathras goes to the door and checks it for any sounds, traps or locks.

As you get within 10' of the north door a magic mouth appears:
"“You stand at the threshold of the Rappan Athuk, the Dungeon of Graves. Turn back, trespassers, for you will find nothing but your death in these dark halls.” It then disappears.

Opening the door into a 20 ft hall way, Elathras can see that the hallway opens into a larger room further up, so he heads to the end of the hallway to see what he can find, waving the torch around, entertained by the shadows it's casting. When he reaches the end of the hall he steps into the room and looks around asking Virgil "shall we go left first?"

as Elathras enters the room and sees the zombies, he realizes he has lead his friends into a death trap, dropping his torch to the ground, his anger consumes him and grabbing his Guisarme in both hands he thrusts it at the nearest undead the one to the south

Virgil leans down, following the wire to its source in an attempt to further understand and disarm it.

having gone and picked up the torch, Elathras is holding it so Virgil can see what he is doing, when he hears Vifgil say "I beefed it again..." Elathras only has time to think Oh no, not again

I'm still conscious, that's a good sign realizing the trap was rope, Elathras giggles a little as Virgil untangles himself. Elathras lays his polearm and pack aside removing his crowbar he hands the torch to Gruk, who happens to be standing near by, then looking at the lid carefully he slams the crowbar into the joint between the lid and the sarcophagus.

Straining his strength, as the stone lid slides off the base, Elathras realizes that the occupant of the Sarcophagus is looking up at him. crap crap crap Elathras begins to freak out a bit, not knowing what else to do he begins to rage and swinging the hooked end of the crowbar at the undead.
