That's a total of 38, which means you've been successful beyond your best hopes. Space control accepts your bonus call-sign, asks your destination and gives you a plotted course to Aballon. Now that the software callsign has been set, you can leave it at this setting without having to do more rolling, meaning when you stroll into Aballon, it will not be an issue.

Days to Aballon at cruising speed: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Evidently, there is a lot of solar activity causing in-system navigation to be particularly perilous now, and thus the long travel time.

Eshenvral makes a few more notations regarding the project now that it's been performed successfully, contemplating to himself just how much devices like that could be worth on the black market. In the end he decides it'd be too much of a headache to manage, and making them available to a wider group would only increase the chances that security companies found a way around the trick. For now the program would be their own little ace in the hole.

For the rest of his time during the Drift, he resigned himself to his other experiments to pass the time, with a special day he set aside so he could re-catalog his entire database of 'Arcane Artifacts and Artifices'. Just for the fun of it.

Aside from a few tricky situations regarding navigation due to solar storms and whatnot, you reach Aballon without incident. A huge space station, dubbed simply "01" orbits the gray world, and though it is still putting out a beacon, no ships seem to be going there.

A robotically-tinged voice says "Aballon Space Control. Please hold for identity scanning." A few seconds later, much quicker than at Absalom, the same voice says "Please state destination."

You've been instructed that Ellyon Mesk's business, Alset Enterprises, is located at the industrial city of Automatrix. This was the missing Ambassador's point of contact.

Sharlavaka looked at the others. "Any reason to detour?"

Mesk's life is an open book. In fact, he WROTE a book about it. You can learn almost anything about him you want to know. He's a genius, a businessman, he created Alset from the ground up based on innovations of Aballonian space technology, and has been making money ever since. Recently he's been in the news for some rather eccentric statements about how insanely great he is, how stupid/cowardly/insert insult here anyone who goes against him is.

Thomdock is a Dwarf raised in a wealthy family who took part in the Silent War (early Pact-worlds against the Vesk), of which Morgrym is also a veteran. Thomdock and Morgrym knew each other in passing.

The Revenge, or whatever you've chosen to call her on this mission, lands perfectly amid a bustling spaceport. That said, it's the most orderly spaceport you've ever seen. The anacites run a tight ship, evidently. On your way down, among the buildings, you catch sight of the Alset logo on a high building near the center of the commerce district.

Upon landing, you note dozens of Pact Worlds citizens of various races interacting with groups of anacites and androids. A group of customs officials, is approaching the Revenge.

Sharlavaka didn't reach for his heavy weapons and mow down the customs officials, although he felt it was a good deed missed. Instead he looked over at the more socially skilled members of the crew, and hoped Isis didn't attempt to seduce anyone.

The elf, knowing their ship had nothing to hide as of now, merely took careful observation of his surroundings. The sapient machines known as the Anacite were of particular interest, a part of him having always envied their perfect and purpose-built forms. While he hadn't the desire to completely shed himself of his Elven skin for that of form-fit steel, he wouldn't be the first cyborg to ponder what it would be like.

His digital ghost lightly touched the fringe edges of the planet's local extra-net, wary of causing a disturbance for the wholly-mechanical. There could be recent news regarding their query online somewhere, at least that's the excuse was going with for now.

Male Human (Polish Jew/Native American/Irish) Techie 7/Martial Artist 2

There is, indeed, news of the disappearance of Mesk; it's all over the 'net. He took a private jet outbound several weeks ago, without a flight plan, and never returned. Search parties have so far turned up nothing.

As for the undercover name for the ship, Captain Quinn would probably go with Mistress of the Salmon Salt. She has to keep with that Blue Oyster Cult naming convention haha. Actually did this with a character in the Star Trek MMO. All her ship names are BOC songs.

You have no problem in your interactions with the customs officials. They ask you some basic questions about your reasons for landing in Automatrix, if you had any exotic cargo to declare, and a catalog of any weapons you would be carrying. Then they validate your transponder data again (which works, again), and set you on your way.

If you have any specific questions or requests of the customs people, post them. Otherwise, where to?

The customs dealt with, Esh presses a hand against his left ear as he concentrated further on the news articles he was reading. Maybe there was something more there if he tried to dig deeper.

Male Human (Polish Jew/Native American/Irish) Techie 7/Martial Artist 2

There's not much online further than the news except conspiracy theories, which are hard to sort through. Some people think Mesk has left the planet with mysterious agents of an alien government, some thing he's hiding underground, still others think he's gone off into the Ice Wells to live with survivalists taking refuge there. None of it gives Esh a lot of insight; the main thing that is certain is that he flew out of Alset Enterprises' airpad, and neither Mesk nor plane have been seen since. There were, and still are, rescue parties searching for him, but at this point they're mostly all corporate sponsored at this point. The official government of Aballon has basically given him up for dead.

Vesk Soldier (Guard) 8 | SP: 56/70; HP: 61/61; RP: 7/7 | EAC: 23; KAC; 27 | Fort: +8, Ref: +6, Will: +8 | CMAC: 31 | Init: +4 | Perception: +11; LowLight, Darkvision |

Switching to a private channel, Sharlavaka commed the others. "Likely something involving private sale of ships. None of the other search parties know that. We have the advantage. Might have been head to shipyard building the fighters, or a drop off point." They also needed to look for the Ambassador, and try to handle the disappearance from that direction - again it was possible no one else knew of that angle.

Female Android Operative (Outlaw) 6 | SP: 0/42; HP: 28/40; RP: 9/9 | EAC: 21; KAC: 23 | Fort: +3, Ref: +11, Will: +6 | CMAC: 31 | Init: +8 | Perception:+12; LowLight, Darkvision

You already know that Thomdock had no one with him on this trip, as it was top secret. I'm not sure what you mean by 'contact info'? If you mean his comm frequency, Morgrym could have provided that before you left.

Comm frequency is good to know. I thought maybe Thomdock's home office would have tabs on him so we know where to track him down and solve half of our mission. "Top Secret" sounds foreboding.

The ear under which his cranial computer could accessed twitched with irritation. "Good you may be, but you wouldn't be able to even guess as to what's within without having to turn it on first. With my recent success in magic, I can."

No demonstration was offered up or shown, he merely trusted them to believe him without question. "I doubt something as simple as 'pulling the fire alarm' would work either. The amount attention it brings is more then enough to make me uncomfortable as well."

A pause, as he considers things for a moment. "Do we know here this human's place of residence is located?"

"No, looking for the funds or ships. Finding either of them is a means to that end." Well, they weren't Sharlavaka's friends. He'd help them if he could, but the mission was to get defence fighters. That came first. "Likely important step, however."

"Hrn." The elf stood by, as the two aliens briefly argued with one another, waiting only for a brief lull to finally clarify himself. "My study of magic has recently revealed how to get a 'feel' of electronic storage mediums, and have an understanding of what's inside. For example, I could gesture to you and dredge up the knowledge of several hours spent watching pornography on the bridge's main screen."

Holding a hand aloft, a holographic window appeared in mid-air. Notes were inscribed using this 'Chai-Knees' language the girls were so insistent upon learning. "Sharlavaka is correct. The human and dwarf in question are not strictly required for us to complete our task, but having them at hand would be welcomed in our success. As an aside, I can think of several benefits gained from coming to the rescue of such politically and economically powerful beings."

Male Human (Polish Jew/Native American/Irish) Techie 7/Martial Artist 2

Okay, so the party is heading toward the Alset building. You can assess the situation once you get inside as to whether you want to attempt to charm something out of someone (via Isis' Favor ability), hack a system (via Esh's Technomancer abilities and mad skillz), some combination of the two, or something else entirely.

The trip takes only a few minutes on the city's monorail. In all, it's the cleanest and most efficient public transit you've ever seen. Esh gets a notice from the 'net that tells him when a train is about to arrive, and when to board, and when to depart.

Once you get on the platform, there are rows for departure and arrival, and you move in an orderly fashion down an escalator to the street level.

The front entrance of the Alset building is a colossal edifice of transparent steel over ten stories high, leading into a walkway that leads to normal-sized glass and gold doors. Businessfolk of all type walk in and out.

Whereas on the street, the majority of the pedestrians are anacites, here there are many more organics and androids.

Male Human (Polish Jew/Native American/Irish) Techie 7/Martial Artist 2

There is no official notice of you by anyone in the massive lobby, which is at least 100 yards square, with six escalators going in each direction, and a bank of dozens of elevators toward the center. In front of the elevators is a receptionist area, but no one is stopping people from moving freely toward the elevators. Just before the elevators is a scanner of some type, and you see a couple people placing weapons into secure lockers before they pass through the scanners. Presumably most of the people who come here are not armed. There seems no similar precaution for the escalators.

Sharalavaka followed. Given he was in full armour and carrying what was classified as an artillery laser, he didn't think much about security stopping him. They probably still had the will to live...and they could have the laser, if they really wanted. They couldn't exactly declaw him.

Even for this, there is no direct response to security, but Sharlavaka almost immediately perceives several turrets on the upper levels wirring to life and moving in his direction. He's pretty sure they'd open fire if he moved the weapon as if to fire it.

That's not hard to find at all. There's a touch terminal that will show you the entire directory (some areas are marked only by "classified"). His office is on the 290th floor (two below the top floor).
