I can't remember if you could grapple as an AOO as I had a similar incident on this in a face to face game.

Lili retrieves the potion of Blur and feeds it to Droogami in the moment between combats. When the devils appear she casts Magic Fang on Droogamia and sends the cat charging in to fight.

I thought of that too! Droogami could be big at level 7 but the level 7 Lini has chosen to keep him medium and increase his stats instead of making him big.
