if there are work issues with having maptools (you don't install it, you just run it so things are a little easier), then i say we don't use it. I wonder if there is a map server program that is browser based.

can i import maps to it, or is it just squares and drawings?

You can import maps or at least you could, you might have to save the maps as JPGs sometimes it got wonky with PDFs

We will be using that for maps & dice. Is that okay?

Also, we can use windycitypathfinder.com for forum stuffs. I like that better than here because we can post images.
