Hi,
Starting in the new year, I'm going to run Fangwood Keep (for levels 3-5) as a PbP.
If you are interested in playing, please complete the linked form.
LINK
There will be 4 or 5 players for this, and will notify everyone before we start. Notifications will go out Jan 6, and the game will start shortly afterwards.
BTW, if you have multiple characters at that level range, let me know which one you would prefer to play. The less witchy or gunslingery you are, the more I smile.
Oh yeah, this will be using roll20.net for maps.
Any questions? Post below.
Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah |
"I believe I shall join my fellow pathfinders on this mission," says the young Shoanti standing in the lodge before Venture-Captain Duquesnoy. "That is, if you will have me, of course."
The big man's face is burned... badly. When you look closely, you can tell the burns extend from his face down his bulging neck and beneath the banded mail he wears.
"I am Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah, or the Spireclan, in your words. I am Ambassador to the tshamek, Seeker of Secrets, Vision-Finder of the Dark Oracles. And I will crush this renegade Molthuni Pavo Vos beneath my earthbreaker and return Fangwood Keep to Nirmathas."
The burned young man holds his gigantic hammer out before him, for all to see. From one face of the hammer jut rounded nodules of cold iron. "Justice is cold, 'tis true," he says. He flips the hammer so the other face of it is visible, showing dull steel spikes. "But Mercy is hard, too, when granted."
He stares out at the assembled pathfinders, his eyes shining from his serious face, until... he breaks into a smile.
"What did you think of my speech? I have been practicing. The shaman of the Spireclan told me a serious face and deep voice impress the tshamek. Of course, Justice and Mercy help, I think," he says, lifting his earthbreaker and tossing it from one hand to another.
Bramelane II |
In the proper range, I have a human Priest of Razmir (arcanist 1/bard (arcane healer) 2), a wayang wizard (4th level), a human wizard (4th level), and a human sorcerer (4th level). I would prefer to play the Priest of Razmir and filled out the form for him.
I think the prejudice against pregenerated characters is unwarranted. The whole point of Pathfinder Society Organized Play is so that people get to play. I wholly endorse crthesis playing a pregenerated character! (So long as it's not Kyra, Pribam Pey, Priest of the Third Step, cannot stand that self-important, do-gooder.)
Pribam Pey |
A mysterious human priest in heavy gray robes studded with fire-forged steel who wears both iron mask and a gold collar enameled with the mask symbol of Razmir, the Living God, nods to Kelvor. "That was a fine speech, Ambassador. I would lend my humble healing and diplomatic skills to the mission as well. I grew up on the shores of Lake Encarthan and am quite familiar with the area and ongoing hostilities between Molthune and Nirmathas."
"Like you, I am also an ambassador. I represent the interests of the Theocracy of the Living God in the Pathfinder Society. Razmir seeks to spread his teachings, to learn about the Society, and to foster goodwill. Furthermore, he views the nations on the shores of the Lake as properly belonging in his sphere of influence and welcomes the opportunity to assist the Society through me.
"My name is Pribam Pey. I am a Priest of the Third Step. In addition to healing and diplomacy, I can provide inspiration in combat. As you may know, Razmir, as the God of All, lends his clergy a broader palette of powers than lesser gods. By His grace, I am also able to cause foes to flee in terror, to hide myself or a companion from sight briefly, to inflict Razmir's wrath on foes and blasphemers at a considerable distance and with deadly accuracy, and, on occasion, to coat foes with the Living God's glory, binding them to the earth."
After speaking, Pribam sits and toys with a slender bloodwood wand that he draws from a pouch at his side.
Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah |
"Well met, tshamek priest," says the burnt Shoanti, Kelvor. The Shoanti have never met a priest of Razz-meer. Do you not travel over the Mindspin Mountains?"
"Not that I doubt your healing prowess, Pribam Pey, but my last assignment nearly undid me, as the healer of the group was lost midway through the mission. Perhaps we should equip ourselves with restorative potions."
Kelvor will visit the local market and seek an alchemist or priest willing to sell him potions.
Of CLW, naturally. Perhaps a CMW.
Pribam Pey |
"No, Ambassador, I did not. I came across Lake Encarthan by ship from Xer.
"There is no insult in taking precautions against known risks. I applaud your decision to plan for potential problems. Some foes even target healers, hoping to cripple a group's ability to restore itself. In such an instance, your potions would be most welcome."
Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah |
I'd like in if there is still room. I can play a rogue 4, healing oracle 5, toppling wizard 4, or a reaching shocking grasp wizard 5.
Did you fill in GM Rene's form, HERE?

Hi,
After some deliberating, here is the party I'd like for the game. I'm making it a 5 person, as I think that is the sweet spot for modules.
* Tarrow (fighter 5)
* Kelvor (barb 1/fighter 3)
* Narvik (oracle 3)
* Armun (bard 5)
* Wilhelm (rouge 2/fighter 1)
Thanks to everyone else who applied. There will be more games after this :)

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
While traveling the Inner Sea, Wilhelm fell off the ship when no one was looking. He spent a few rounds trying to get back on, then slowly gave up. He sunk quietly to the bottom, only to be entangled by a giant jellyfish. The jellyfish sucked him in, and to his surprise, there was oxygen in the jelly's belly. There he stayed for 3 years, living of plankton and PB&J sandwiches. Fortunately, became fast friends with the jellyfish, and they would play together. Occasionally, they would start fights with other gangs. In fact, Wilhelm got caught breaking into a pineapple and had to fight a certain spongy creature.
Needless to say, Pribam is in.

Pribam activates his wand of innocence when unobserved below deck. He then finds Kelvor, casually approaches him, and remarks "Ahem...Wilhelm...poor soul. Yes, he did indeed...fall...overboard when no one was looking. I certainly was nowhere in the vicinity. Razmir bless his soul."
