Sammakko ventured out of town for a short day, but besides that, stayed within Saringallow. He was a frequent visitor of the pastry shop, and even had a pair of fancy shoes made for his webbed feet. As he sits and listens to the Mayor, he munches on a bag of sweet treats, spreading crumbs everywhere. "Goblins? Kinda remind me of really ugly gripplis. With no manners. We at least have manners. Though goblins covered in that ichor stuff would probably make even uglier and crazier goblins. We can handle it. Probably."

Personally, I have not. I am still new to the society. But, while I was in training at the tower, we were given lessens on some of the more well known races.

Mayor Trinelli begins to speak to you all “Goblins are vicious little monsters that live in the woods, caves, or anywhere they’ve sunk their claws into, really. Alone, they aren’t so threatening—but groups of them are dangerous, and hordes of them are terrifying. The abhorrent beasts seem to feed off each other’s chaos, so things quickly get out of hand when they’re involved. In general, though, goblins hate dogs and fear horses, but they love fire. I also hear that they’re very superstitious about reading—they believe that it steals words out of your head, or some such nonsense.”
“At most, folks have seen two or three at a time, but in a few cases they were also riding goblin dogs. I don’t know if that was the same two or three each time, or if there’s a larger group nearby.”
“Now them goblin dogs, Oh, they’re terrible, the hideous, rat-faced things. Goblins seem to love them and often use them as mounts. Don’t let that fool you, though. Goblin dogs are just as dangerous, if not more so, than their wicked little masters.”
We’d never suffer a goblin tribe to live within a stone’s throw of town. Isger in general is crawling with the little beasts, though, and these latest sightings might herald a band that’s recently come together to threaten us. However, the last of the proper tribes in the hills were wiped out decades ago.”
“Almost twenty years ago, hobgoblins—bigger, stronger, more intelligent goblins—surged out of Chitterwood leading armies of goblinoids. They attacked the rest of Isger and overran much of the country before we could muster much of a defense. They even started spreading into Andoran, Cheliax, and Druma. The war lasted four years, but with help from our neighboring nations, we managed to drive the goblins back into Chitterwood. The effort set half the forest on fire, but we wiped them out.”
| GM Qwerty |
"No clue, but if you find anything out then tell us. We dont want any more of that stuff spreading in our town." and with that the Mayor ushers you out so she can tend to town business.
You ponder whether you need to purchase anything in town before you venture out to Clover Stream and speak with the homesteaders out that way.

"This sounds like something we can investigate. We will discover any clues as to the appearance of these goblins and do what we can to scatter them," Eris says confidently.

"I can subscribe to what you said ms mayor. Yes, goblins are little repugnant monsters in dire need of a bolt between the eyes. They have a certain low form of cunning, yes, but generally speaking they are just idiots. Do not understimate them but also don't make them into a bigger threat than they really are. And yes, I've killed my fair share of goblins in the past. It was a nice diversion from killing rats infesting haunted catacombs!" Wolfgang proclaims before laughing out loud, apparently very pleased with himself...
As he had finished making his purcases a few days before Wolfgang waits for the others to prepare for the next part of their mission.

You are provided with a rough map of the area outlining some of the closer farmsteads and make your way to the Escoro farm region as your first stop. The journey through Saringallow’s outskirts is largely a pleasant one. The homesteads nearest to the city belong to farmers, who point you all farther down the road as you inquire about recent goblin sightings. Eventually, the dirt roads give way to smaller, worn-down trails. Pastures thick with green grass and dotted with sheep and other livestock replace the rows of wheat and vegetables. Nice farm land if you like that sort of life.

Eris tries to look around, but seems lost in thought, pondering how this could be related to the matters they had already investigated.

A young shepherd bolts across one of the nearby fields, clearly terrified by something behind him. He shouts and gestures frantically toward whatever he’s fleeing. “I saw them!” he screams. “Goblins! They’re in the woods! They took our sheep! You have to do something!” and he points to s flock of sheep near the woods to your front.

Wolfgang sees the gaggle of sheep moving towards the group and sees nothing wrong with it... most likely sheep following their shepherd who ran to the group.
The crossbowmans words do soothe the youth somewhat but the frightened boy still runs off...as the group of sheep keep moving towards the party.
Wolfgang Strabe

Sammakko looks over the sheep coming closer to the group and denotes the hint of steel shining under the bellies of the sheep which he finds unusual as well as their gait which is not normal sheep movement. He points that out to Wolfgang who confirms the monks suspicions.

As the dust settles from the goblin attack, the sound of deranged, off-key singing filters onto the field.

Cut their eyes out, make them cry!

The goblins come out through the break in the fence and urge their mounts towards the group, two going straight to the small wall formed by three of the party and two going to the left.
