No weapons for Aurora, she'll stick to her staff to keep costs for
the party down

She will however spend some time recharging her staff!

You can make them yourself. You even get the discount, as you have to buy raw material.

Aurora will ask for a masterwork quarterstaff, etched with circuitry and lightning bolt motifs and designs. She'll then transfer her strange little device to the new staff.

Now she's ready :)


@Aurora he will make you one, out of an alloy with the same stats as a regular quarterstaff, just made out of metal. So metal spells work, not wood, rest stays the same.
Offering a meal of stew with freshly baked bread with small sliced vegetables val shows you your rooms, freshly cleaned and with fresh linnen and listens with big ears to your tales.


The next morning all of you are ready to return to the caves.
If I hear nothing contrary, you are given another spell of waterbreathing and return to the caves.

Aurora is overjoyed with the staff and heaps praises upon the craftsman. She spends much of her time examining the staff and commenting on its fine design and build.

She appears fresher than ever and ready to face further perils inside the caves.

Back to where we left off then? Straight to the nasty fey to wipe them out?!


BTW the weapons are done in the next morning. If you ask how this can be possible, he points to a smelting machine and a hammering machine. He also admits using some minor magic.

Uran makes sure he loads all his barrels with cold iron ammunition. He also marvels at the speed of the weapons construction.

"These machines rival those we have back in Arkenstar! Fine work mastersmith..very fine work!"

Aelden checks the balance of his plain weapon. "Ye'll get a name when ye earn it..."

Back we go. Still two things for the loot update gang! The amount of gp everyone spent AND the value of the agate from Helikon. I would take it to a merchant in town if necessary.


The agate is worth 55gp.
The mastersmith tells you this only works through one or two of Master Baines inventions. His ability is now very much depleted, as the power through the beacon he had stored is gone. He had couple a clockwork springs to power the machines but those are now without tension.
He admits it is so much easier to make Coldiron that adamantium, for one of those weapons he has to use all his springs if he has to work it fast.

Moving into the cave you notice immidiatly that the ceiling is quite low, giving nearly everybody a little discomfort. But not more.

There is a flash of movement across Aurora's skin, as you swear one of the tattoos shifts and moves across her flesh.

She gestures and four red-hued sparks pop in to existence from the end of her staff, spinning up through the air to illuminate the cavern roof, sweeping along it in a repeating pattern designed to cover the whole area as quickly as possible.

You can not see anything alive. Just quite a bit of metal debris everywhere. Where to?

If this cave is a dead end then we'll go back to the intersection and go straight ahead, if there's a way through this cave then we'll keep going.


Allright you move on and turn to the left reaching the assembly hall again. Thanks to Aeldens little helper you find your way north inanother little hall. You see a little thing standing infront of a little stalagmite. It sees you, runs around to hide behind it.

You check out behind the pillar, but.... the gremlin is gone. You hear some noise in the cave you just left and a voice.

I suppose that thing matches the description of the entities we are supposed to locate and remove for the skulks. It appears to have escaped in to that cave we just left, though I didn't catch what it said unfortunately.

I am wary of walking in to a trap, but we do need to eliminate the creature. Any suggestions aside from running after it?
