nothing more than a traveling merchant and tinkerer who
moves from one town to another throughout southern
Numeria.
You get the place where he lives and also his usual asking price
Not only is he established in town as a leading expert on the nature
and function of Numerian technological artifacts, but he also knows how to read the strange language associated
with these items.
He is hunted by the techno league.
He must be very very good, or have an ass up his sleeve

Gather Info: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Ater asking around Uran relates some of the information he gathered.
"Sanvil Trett is nothing more than a traveling merchant and tinkerer who moves from one town to another throughout southern Numeria. I also learned where to find him and what he usually charges for his services. Shall we go and see him now?"

Gregory Leichardt |

Gregory nods.
"I also heard that not only is he established in town as a leading expert on the nature and function of Numerian technological artifacts, but he also knows how to read the strange language associated with these items. Rumour also has it that he is hunted by the techno league."

Gregory Leichardt |

Happy to head back in - still heavily suggesting that people may want to claim some of the loot (such as Aurora possibly claiming the CL 3 Wand of Magic Missile, and most of the scrolls)

Gregory Leichardt |

I am, happy to return all of the stuff we found, including the tech, as it is probably more trouble than it is worth. (That said, he could have mentioned that it was his stuff when he identified it for us ;-))

Assuming you go to the expert.
It takes the group a few minutes and a round in a pub before you are led to a man in a somewhat surreal surrounding. Living in the poorest parts of torch his house seems to be shabby from the outside but gleaming metal from the inside with many strange items and artifacts. Looking up from a pair of glasses he adresses you.
"Well you searched me. Now you found me. What do you want from me?"

Gregory Leichardt |

Gregory shrugs.
"Found a few things under Torch. We've been told that you are the person to go to get this sort of stuff identified."
He then shows the man the relevant items.

Helikon |

"Well it seems you came to the right person, indeed. I can tell you what most items are. But what is in for me? Well how about that. I will be the first you meet to sell them and, well you return and make pictures of all you found. And clean the area of all dangers. No worries, you do not have to paint them. I have found a little box that can do that for you. Do we have a deal?"

Gregory Leichardt |

Gregory looks to the others, and raises a questioning eyebrow, before turning back to the man and nodding.
"That could work as an agreement... Now, what exactly do we have here?"

Helikon |

Looking at the items Sanvil picks out the vials and carefully inspects them, licking them very very carefully before putting them aside and speaking."I can tell you that the box is an scanner, checking for poisonious auras. It is called the wasting disease, and healing it is EXTREMLY complicated. This box will tell you very much ahead when you come closer. BEWARE of those items infected by the aura.
The injector, it looks like a gun with a needle gives you the ability to inject others with potions, elexiers and before you ask, yes poisons. It is very much easier than, for example, a dagger. Touch AC. Those vials can be loaded into the injector. I am not sure what they contain, I GUESS a healing potion, but I have to wait till tonight to check it. The other gun like item is a paralyzer. You shoot someone and he becomes paralyzed. It will work neither on the unliving, nor on robots."

Gregory Leichardt |

Gregory turns and looks at the others.
"Right then. Which of you wants to take custody of which of the items? It sounds like we still have a fair amount of exploring to do..."
