A vast congeries of bubbles, polyhedrons, rods, and less definable shapes, rippling and undulating, of colors not known to the sane universe.... Yog-Sothoth approaches!

C-can you chant faster, Levinson!? Something....horrible....is coming!!

Levinson can attempt a Use Magic Device check to hastily conclude the closing ritual, DC 30....

If others have ranks in UMD, they can use the aid another action to possibly increase Levinson's result (by joining in the chanting and gesturing, etc.)....

Yingzen beholds the approaching horror, and gets a good look at the utterly insane realm beyond the portal.... Clashing auroras of colors unknown to human eyes fill the atmosphere, intersected by immense, leaping shadows blacker than a moonless night.... A roaring, pulsating rhythm seems to reverberate from everywhere in the alien dimension, reminiscent of the sound of blood coursing through immense veins, or the maddening throb of a fever delirium.... Yingzen begins to feel that his sanity is in danger from peering too long into this nightmare world....

Levinson and Radsworth chant louder and faster, the ritual rising in a crescendo to its climactic conclusion....

MJ trails off, eyes widening in growing horror, verging on panic, as he sees Yog-Sothoth looming ever closer through the portal....

The unearthly, mind-shattering piping chorus of hoots reverberates through the portal and through the FOs' beings.... Everyone takes 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 Wisdom damage, Will save DC 30 for half Wis damage....

Suddenly, Levinson and Radsworth complete the ritual, and the portal snaps shut like a great pupil contracting in a bright light!

The FOs have saved the world!
