No worries Nathan…I'm being a touch lenient with those who need to close the distance between themselves and the battle. Nothing more tedious in a PbP than three rounds of double moves though difficult terrain!

As the minotaur leaves Janira behind the ground beneath him becomes slippery. He tries to maintain his footing as he slowly moves toward the river to face the party head on.

Seito moves to the river and raises a hand, while muttering some divine words. A warm light emanates from the hand and his team mates feel filled with courage to confront the evil beast.
Casting Bless. I think everyone is affected, even Janira

![]() |

Amaranti ja Kaisharga move closer to the log bridge, ready to fight the beast. With sudden sense of self-preservation, Amaranti decides not to rush towards the minotaur, and rather tries to harass it with magic.
Cast Daze, dc 12. Affects only humanoids of HD 5 and below.

Seeing the group begin to bottleneck on the log, Khori decides to take one for the team. In an effort to distract the minotaur, and let his friends cross, Khori leaps atop the log and moves towards the two-legged bovine. Unfortunately, Khori has spent too long imitating a drunk. No sooner does he step atop the narrow, slippery bridge, then his feet fly out from under him. He scrambles for a moment, and manages to get a single hand around the log as he falls; but it isn't enough. With a splash, Khori lands in the stream, sputtering as the icy cold penetrates to his bone.
Acrobatics Check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Nathan follows Khori, rushing to the log, and climbs on himself
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
If successful, he will be at the end of the log and will move out of the way of everyone next turn
reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
"Fear not comrade Khori, I shall take this beast on and clear us a path!"

GM Beman |

As Sebastian continues to slowly turn the minotaur into a pin cushion, the rest of the party closes in, except for Khori who lands flat faced on the log. The sight of Nathan closing in causes the minotaur to drool until his feet (hooves?) slip on the ground underneath him, causing him to fall. He slowly returns to his feet, snarling at the paladin.
Everyone may act again...Nathan gets an AoO on the minotaur and don't forget that, thanks to Seinto, the party is Blessed!

Sebastian fires another arrow at the minotaur, but this time has to contend with a paladin in the way. He calls upon some of his deductive skills in an attempt to triangulate the proper arc in which to fire the arrow over Nathan's shoulder to still hit his target. Unfortunately, the paladin is a moving obstruction, so such calculations are limited in value.
Spent 2 Investigation Pool Points to augment the roll. Only 2 IPP left.

GM Beman |

As the stream's current overtakes Khori, Nathan lands a solid blow on the minotaur as it lifts itself from the ground. Sadly his follow up strike is too wild to make contact. A bit of acid created from M'Grul's burns the minotaur just as Sebastian's arrow soars over its head
1d3 ⇒ 1
Armaranti and Kaisharga are up before the minotaur…which has taken 17 points of damage.

![]() |

Kaisharga climbs easily to the log, and start carefully moving to the other side.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
The serpentine form well-suited to the task, it finds no problems crossing the river. Sliding down from the log, it waits for an opportunity to strike.
Double move, so that it get down from the log. Does the minotaur get an AoO, since Kaisharga moves within 10' threat range

Seeing his companion getting to the other side, Amaranti starts chanting a little help to the creature.
cast Enlarge Person to Kaisharga, 1 round casting time.

GM Beman |

Thrilled to have someone new to attack, the minotaur attempts to gore Kaisharga but is unable to make contact. The minotaur takes a 5 foot step backwards...presumably in an attempt to retrieve its axe. Even though the ground is still slippery from M'grul's spell the beast is able to maintain its footing. The party is up!

Nathan carefully steps towards the river side and towards the side of the minotaur before pressing back forward to continue the attack.

Nathan once again swings with all his might, trying to do as much damage as possible to stop the Minotaur in his tracks

Now as big as the minotaur, Kaisharga moves to flank the enemy and strikes with it's new strength.

GM Beman |

The minotaur's eyes widen at the sight of the suddenly enlarged Kaisharga. Those same eyes glass over as the eidolon rips into its flesh. Realizing that it is unarmed and outnumbered, the minotaur withdraws from battle and flees into the woods.
Despite her severe wounds, Janira has managed to cling on to life. The party works feverishly to heal her and she slowly regains consciousness. "I owe you lot a world of thanks it would seem. How did you fare in the caves?"

![]() |

Amaranti makes his across the river and runs to Janira.
"Are you OK, little lady?"
Amaranti reflects Janira's question for a moment. "No trouble in caves. Some skeletons, them we bash. And one gillman praying, him we did not hurt", he finally manages to summarize.

![]() |

Nathan reluctantly sheathes his sword, watching the Minotaur's escape hungrily
"Should we let a creature of evil escape so easily? I am just thankful we were here for you when you needed us."

![]() |

"Mr. Amanranti has the gist of it. We discovered an ancient shrine to Aroden as well, which appears to have some mystical significance. We could not say of its importance to the gillmen per se, although the one we conversed with was quite amicable despite our interruption. Also, there were kobolds present who appeared to be looking to colonize the caverns, but I frightened them away by telling them of the undead that haunt the area. The undead appear to originate from a dead dhampir we found among the skeletons, but I believe that threat has been eliminated." Sebastian explains in some detail as he offers a hand to help Janira to her feet. "I'm quite sure I speak for everyone when I say we owe you our sincere gratitude for distracting that beast while we completed our exploration of the caverns and are pleased to see you somewhat healthy despite the experience. Dealing with a minotaur mano-a-mano is quite impressive indeed."

GM Beman |

After praising your actions Janira leads the expedition back to Absalom without further incident. Once safely back in the Grand Lodge, Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine inquires excitedly about what you've found and asks to see your notes. As you are now the foremost authorities on that cave and what it contains, Shaine also invites you to come up with its name. The elf is certain to compliment Janira for her guidance and assistance, much to the halfling’s delight.
Three days later you are the guests of honor at a ceremony where you are fully confirmed as a full Pathfinder field agent. As part of the ceremony, you are gifted a personalized way finder to remind you that this is not only the symbol of the Pathfinder’s trade but also a reminder of the three principle duties: explore, report, and cooperate.
I'll PM everyone links to their Chronicle Sheets later today...thanks again to all!
