If Emdi has a reaction, and he's allowed to use Retributive Strike on Nagaikaze, he will punch him. Professor Whitegourd gets resistance 10, and if he hits, Nagaikaze gets a DC 11 flat check to break confusion.

@Emdi The image of Sotroz that was talking to you is gone. There are no actual enemies in this encounter. Only a confused Nagaikaze to deal with. That being said, I'd say reactions aren't available this first round because the trap was a surprise. However, damaging a confused character will allow a flat check to end the confusion.

**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**
Inside the domed inner sanctum is a complex ritual space, with stonework rising out of thick mud. Along one side of the space stands an arcane abomination of an aiudara cobbled together from pieces of others and Nexian technomagical know-how. Zarta Dralneen coordinates splitting up Pathfinder teams to encircle the area as the Red Mantis Dispatch’s two leaders, a ghoul arcanist and an aiuvarin assassin, gather their bodyguards and prepare to make their last stand.
The final confrontation has begun.

Eando Kline swings his sword in a wide arc, decapitating a ghoul that was trying to sneak up behind Zarta as she directs Pathfinder groups to their entry points around the inner sanctum. Grunting, he remarks, “Hmm... more resistance in here than we expected, but we’re at the end of the road, Pathfinders. Our other agents are attacking from the east to cut this Sotroz off from escaping, so taking them out is up to you now.”
Zarta gives Eando an appreciative nod as his sword does its work. “We’ve done all we can to set you up for success. You are our finest agents out here today. Now go and prove it to the Dispatch once and for all!”
Proceding to the inner sanctum (an area consisting of stone platforms lined with arcane foci and esoterica for magical experiments), you find your way blocked by a huge zombie. Between his massive legs, you spy Sotroz --- flanked by a pair of "headless" horsemen.
There are also a couple of wooden cages covered in runes (and marked on the map in white), they contain a live raven and a live skunk. There are other cages further in the room to the east but you cannot make out the details. You can also see Rowan and other dispatch agents in melee with another group of Pathfinders off of the map to the east.
The Aiudara gate sits sputtering with arcane energy at the southern wall of the map. marked in grey
Note that the blackened areas on the map are not actually walls but thick mud - treat as greater difficult terrain if you choose to move through them. The do not block sight or line of effect either.

If you wish to free the animals you may do so by succeeding at a DC 23 Crafting or Thievery check to disable them <an attempt uses 2-actions> while adjacent to (or on top of) one of the cages.
