"Draw them here, Mr. Castle. Hurry!"
Delay until skeletons arrive to the trap

![]() |

"No trap then? Fine... Kaisharga, attack!!" Amaranti bellows, pointing towards the skeletons. At the same time, the man whispers a few words of magic, and touches his beast companion.

The serpentine eidolon slithers forwards, dodging M'grul as it moves. Once in range, it reveals sharp teeth, and strikes with lighting speed.

Seinto moves forward to the side of Nathan.
"Sir Nathan, do not confuse courage with recklessness. We had a good plan".
Showing Iomedae holy symbol facing to the skeletons, Seinto channels his faith through it and releases the sacred power to destroy the unnatural creatures.
Channel Energy to damage Undead. DC 13

GM Beman |

As Seinto offers Nathan sage advice, he channels his deity's power; turning each skeleton iinto a heap of bones.
Among the fallen bodies, you find a note written by the dhampir that details plans to start an army of undead made from the “fish people” who have been frequenting this cave. In addition, the Dhampir holds a +1 longsword, and wears bracers of armor +1.

![]() |

"Excellent work Brother Seinto, apparently this dhampir's dabbling in dark dealings turned deadly." Sebastian alliterates as he looks over the note, "Is there another tunnel here or shall we return to the diorama cavern?"

![]() |

Khori saunters forward and offers only an impressed grunt; "Huh. Well, who wants the sword and bracers?" Khori then moves in to inspect the rest of the area, making a slow path along.

![]() |

M'grul says nothing, knowing his silk armour robes serve the job well. He awaits to see if more vocal members raise a claim to the items but seems ready to push on.

GM Beman |

After dispensing with the skeletons you double back to holy site and see that Uori had returned to his deep meditative state. You are careful not to disturb him as you move to the passage leading from the opposite side of the chamber. It rangesfrom 3 to 6 feet wide and is coated with the omnipresent bioluminescent fungi; The persistent glow of which dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.
The river ranges from 10 to 15 feet wide but doesn't look more than a foot deep. It flows languidly at an almost imperceptibly slow speed. Treat squares with water as if they were a shallow bog.
Two kobolds can be seen on the other side of the river inspecting the tunnel that leads to the surface. Kaisharga alerts Amaranti that there is a poison dart trap along the edge of the river. Marked on map.

"It looks like Sir Nathan will make best use of the sword" says Seinto while waking by the tunnels.
When they reach the chamber with the kobolds he looks to his team mates and draws his crossbow silently.
Maybe we can prepare our weapons before they see us

![]() |

"I would gladly make use of this sword, as mine seems... Defective of late"
Nathan looks across the river seeing the kobolds.
"What do you think the likel yhood that these fellas are friendly? Maybe I should give them a quick hello?"

![]() |

"Perhaps we should learn of their intentions before we attack them, wouldn't you say?" Sebastian suggests, readying his short bow nevertheless. "Anyone else speak Draconic?

![]() |

Sebastian addresses the kobolds in Draconic in a loud, booming voice, "Χαιρετισμούς, μικρό φολιδωτό αυτά. Είστε φίλος ή εχθρός?"
"Greetings, small scaly ones. Are you friend or foe?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Khori waits a moment to let the diplomatic approach work. He does; however, ready himself to dash across the stream, in case Sebastian's draconic is a little rusty.

GM Beman |

Each of the kobolds readies a sling as the turn to address Sebastian. A loud voice or voices can be heard coming from the tunnel across the river and leading north, but they do not sound like kobolds.

"Watch out. A trap in front of kobolds" Amaranti whispers to the others, believing this will end in violence.

![]() |

"They claim ownership of the caverns and say they have a vast army arrayed on their backs. I doubt the veracity of these claims." Sebastian explains to the group, "The other noise is more troubling."
He then addresses the kobolds again in Draconic, "Αυτά τα σπήλαια που ανήκουν στους άνδρες με βράγχια, σας ζητάμε να αφήσετε αυτό το μέρος στην ειρήνη."
"These caverns belong to the gillmen, we ask that you leave this place in peace."

![]() |

"It is probably a deception. In any case, maybe I can help you to convince them to allow free passage," says Seinto. Then he whispers a magical words and touches Sebastian.
I cast Enhanced Diplomacy on Sebastian.

Can Amaranti Aid diplomacy if he doesn't know the language?

![]() |

Nathan attempts to look the part and try to help with the diplomatic efforts.

"These guys probably respect strength, seeing me next to you will probably turn them in our favor. After all, handsome, strong, and deadly? Everyone likes me

Emboldened by assistance of his companions, Sebastian tries one more time, "Αυτές οι σπηλιές περιέχουν το περπάτημα νεκρούς καθώς, προφανώς δεν είναι ένα κατάλληλο warren για τη φυλή σου. Ειλικρινά, αν δεν πάτε, φοβάμαι ότι θα οδηγήσει σε αιματοχυσία και δεν θα δούμε μάλλον λογικό καλά φυλής κύριοι οπως και σεις να πληγωθείς."
"These caves contain undead as well, obviously not a suitable warren for your tribe. Frankly, if you don't go, I'm afraid it'll lead to bloodshed and I'd rather not see reasonable well-bred kobolds like yourselves get hurt."
Diplomacy+spell+assistance: 1d20 - 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) - 1 + 2 + 2 = 22

GM Beman |

The kobolds tremble at Sebastian's words and stay their weapons.
With that they back out of the cave and up the northern tunnel. They're not gone but for a few minutes before you hear yells and screams coming down the tunnel once again, married with the faint sounds of combat and a familiar woman’s voice half-shouting and half-reciting, “As the legendary Gregaro Both successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!”

![]() |

"Is that the little lady? We must help!", Amaranti shouts and starts crossing the river.

![]() |

"Yes, let's make haste to assist her now that the kobold menace has been quashed through diplomacy and a working knowledge of the Draconic language!"

GM Beman |

Following the sound of Janira's voice you dash down the tunnel and emerge into a 40-foot clearing at the base of the Kortos Mounts. The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy. The full moon provides dim light over the entire area.
On the far side of the stream, Janira Gavix is locked in combat with her relentless minotaur foe in a clearing on the southern bank of the stream.
“You vile beast!" Janira shouts defiantly. "I know not what drives your black heart, but I shall not fail in my duty. I shall see you driven from this forest, back to the hills from whence you came!”
Janira steps back and lashes out with her whip, wrapping it around the minotaur's axe. She pulls, but the monster roars and pull its weapon free.

1. The patches of woodland are also filled with underbrush that behaves as light undergrowth, creating difficult terrain and concealment.
2. The trees are only a few decades old and do not completely occupy their respective squares. A creature that shares a space with one or more trees benefits from partial cover.
3. The stream moves downstream from east to west at a brisk pace and is considered rough water, which will require a Swim check to navigate.
4. A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge. The trunk is slippery from the splashing water, and crossing it at half speed requires a DC 7 Acrobatics check, during which time the creature is treated as flatfooted for moving on a narrow surface. If the creature fails this check, it falls into the water unless it succeeds at a DC 13 Reflex save, in which case it lands prone on the trunk instead.
5. The slope to the west gradually rises to a height of 20 feet, and creatures standing at its highest point benefit from both a commanding view of the battlefield and a clear vantage point for ranged attacks.

"The chase is on, then!" Khori offers a lop-sided grin as the group decides to chase after the distant voice of Janira. Khori had to admit, he was aching for a bit of action, having played no part in facing the undead nor the kobolds. Hopefully, the minotaur would prove a bit more sporting.

![]() |

"No fear little lady, we come help!", Amaranti shouts and starts jogging forwards, keeping pace with Kaisharga.

"Now is the time for ranged weapons, gentlemen." Sebastian recommends as he moves closer to the fight and fires his shortbow at the minotaur.

Nathan looks at Sebastian, confused.
"Ranged, no, this beast must be felled and our lady patron must be rescued, I dare say that cannot be done from here. I must get to her side!"
Tightening his shield and drawing his Sword, Nathan breaks into a run dashing forward as fast as he can to get down to the riverside.
Move for both actions, I should have moved 40, avoiding the spots with tree markers on it. Unless you mean all of the green area is woodland and difficult terrain?

GM Beman |

As the Pathfinders close in on the battle, those with the ability to participate from afar do so to help ensure Janira's safety. Sebastian sinks an arrow in the minotaur's right flank as M;grul mutters a few words; the sorcery causing the large axe to slip from the minotaur's hands!
Taking advantage of the minotaur's confusion, Janira steps back and tosses a tanglefoot bag in the direction of the beast; but with Janira's aim undoubtedly hampered by her wounds, the bag flies far wide of its mark.
The minotaur lowers its head and moves swiftly toward Janira, goring her into near lifelessness.

Amaranti and Kaisharga stumble forwards in the woodland, progressing frustratingly slow.
"HELLO YOU BIG COW! LEAVE LITTLE WOMAN ALONE!" Amaranti shouts from the bottom of his lungs, trying to draw the minotaurs attention.
I'm assuming the green squares are difficult terrain?

Sebastian moves into the woodlands to get an unimpeded shot at the minotaur.

In that case, my move would NOW be legal for a full run assuming I continue the move into this turn ;P Well, maybe one more square because i started on rock
Nathan continues racing towards the fallen tree log, determined to get across the river to aid their sponser. Crashing through the small trees, stumbling and reeling from snapping branches as he runs.
"Cursed trees getting in my way, where's a druid when you need one?"
