Kjell moves into flanking position with Grey, as Dovren's foe is down. Swings his great axe and misses.

Kylma sees the skeleton at the north-east door, with a twirl to the left her weapon uses the door as a chopping block and severs the creature's skull from the rest of its frame like body. It then crumples to the floor in a heap.

Kilain swings his warhammer and misses.


The Skeleton with the acid damage attempts to attack Grey and misses with a swing of its broken sword. The one in the south-east doorway swings at Grey and nicks his shoulder. The skeleton against the furthest wall moves in behind Kjell and swings with an overhead chop. Kjell manages to dodge the attack with ease.

Kylma rushes across the room and swings her greataxe with all her strength behind it turning the skeleton behind Kjell to powder and bone shards.

The Halfling tucks & rolls through the press of bodies to the other side of the remaining Skeleton, preparing to draw his dagger as he does so.

"Well, they did say there was a strong likely-hood of danger..." He grins weakly at the other, more martial, companions.

I too am fine...let's move on.


Before moving on, Kylma and Gray begin searching the room where the skeleton battle took place. Grey finds a backpack, or what is left of a backpack as time seems to have deteriorated it and finds a really nice dagger and a decomposed pouch which is barely holding 50 gold pieces.
Kylma searches the weapons racks and armor stands, but only comes up with a nice light steel shield with an eagle worked into the front of it.
You all notice a banner with the holy symbol of Torag on it. It seems to have withstood the many years it has rested in this room.

Looking at the pile of coin, Grey queries the others. "How much did we agree to claim for the town & how much do we get to keep?" He divides the pile into five smaller, equal piles as he awaits the other's ruminations.

Don't need to divide any for Klma since, we lost the player


You complete the search of the 2nd floor by going through the north-east door. The ceiling is partially collapsed. There is an unlocked, untrapped door in the south-east wall. Opening the door reveals a half colapsed floor and you can also see up to the next level which is collapsed even further in.

Is this hallway traversable? Does it look like one could climb up?


The staircase is impassable from this level, as large debris has overtaken it. With some good climbing skills, it looks feasible to ascend to the next floor. A fall from this height could be quite painful!

Kilain moves to the banner and eyes it, touches his holy symbol saying a prayerto Torag to reveal the magical aura's cast Detect Magic and look at Banner


Kilain:
You don't detect any magic on the banner, but come to the conclusion that whomever made it was probably of dwarven blood as you study the workmanship.


You're all standing on a half collapsed floor trying to decide what to do!

Kilain removes the Banner gingerly and with care. Folding it and putting it in his backpack. saying as he does I be thinking this may be of value to My kindred of the region.

he then takes the 10 Gold offered by Grey nodding as he tucked it into his pouch. If we have some rope, and one of ye can climb up then let us move with haste. I don be trustin this floor for long

Kjell grabs the end of a rope and begins to climb up to secure the rope at the top.

I will make my way up and secure the rope when I get there.

Damnit! I am a bit shaken up...give me a second.

Eventually, Kjell, bleeding from multiple contusions and and abrasions, walks back up to the current position of the party.

Well, that didna' work out so well. I could use some healing.


The fall was a good 20 feet.

Kilain looked at the battered Kjell and saw Dorven wipe a scratch he had obtained earlier and he nodded, touhing his holy symbol and praying for Healing. A burst of pure white light flashed briefly bathing the party in positive energy.

Seeing as no one replies to Dorvren, Kylma answers, I got this! She finds good footing and areas to grab onto. Will a little effort she makes it to the next floor. Seeing that there is no place to tie off a rope, she lowers it and tells Grey quietly to tie the rope around his waist. There are no creatures up here, but stay quiet just in case. I also don't see any doors. It doesn't make any sense


Once grey is securely tied to the rope, Kylma easily lifts him up and gets him to the next floor with minor scratches. Once he's untied Kylma lowers the rope again and tells Dorvren to do the same thing. I'm going to need your help getting Kjell and Kilain up here without damaging the rope!. Easily lifting Dorvren up they both manage to get the other two up to investigate the next room.
As you all investigate the large area of space, even though a lot of the floor has collapsed, Dorvren, Kjell and Grey notice that there is a secret door in the south-west wall. It is not trapped to Dorvren's knowledge, but it is locked. Dorvren tells the group to search for a secret latch that must be hidden in the room somewhere.


As the group searches the room. Kylma say she thinks she's found what they are looking for. Dorvren investigates the lever which was hidden under a part if the floor. He twists it to the right then the left and then up. A clicking sound comes from the wall where the secret door is located.

Kjell nods at Kilian in thanks, but the healing surge only closes a couple of the wounds to prevent further bloodflow. He still appears reather beat up.

I could use another blessing, Kilian, when you have a moment.

Kjell hefts his Axe in anticipation of what lies beyond the secret door.
