Given that anything like a thorough investigation of the room is going to take at least a a minute. Once the duration of this summons expires & everyone else is ready to check the next room, Grey will summon up another Celestial Dog.

Grey prepares to call forth another Celestial Dog when he reaches the top of the stairs with the others.


Kylma takes her position in the group as you all walk up the spiral staircase.
As you reach the top of the stairs, the four winged tower is completely open on this level, forming one great cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a red carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, at the spiral staircase you are standing on. A large throne-like chair stands in the eastern wing where a gaunt humanoid dressed in tattered rags sits. Its skin is pale gray and icy crystals have formed on various parts of its body. Its hands end in claws, each with translucent icy blue nails and its eyes are frozen solid showing no signs of life.
Next to the chair stands a pedestal with a glowing blue gem clenched in the hands of a gargoyle statue.
The lifeless body in the chair looks no longer lifeless as it stands and makes its way toward you!

"Meep!" Grey blurts out as the creature starts towards them. He hastily calls out the now very familiar incantation as a Celestial Dog coalesces before the oncoming figure.

Standard Action: Summon Monster I spell-like ability; Celestial Dog, round 1 of 10
Thanks for the Map. I don't have access to Obsidian Portal right now, but I will when I get home later today. Grey should be near the back of the group. Next round, he will move up to 30' away from the 'undaid critter'!
If the Summoned Dog gets an action/attack this round; bite attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17, bite damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4


Grey summons a dog which appears to be glowing in a white light. It rushes up and attacks the creature moving toward the party. The dog grabs a hold of its arm tearing away a piece of frozen flesh.
The creature retaliates with 2 claw attacks. 1st=1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12


2nd=1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

The agile dog easily dodges to frozen claws.


Kylma rushes in with her greataxe raised ready to take the creature down.

Her greataxe hits its mark placing a long gash along the creature's chest and left arm. It shrieks in agony while looking at her with its frozen orbs.

Then he swings his mace a hard as he can. 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16 for 1d6 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 2 + (3) = 9


The chair and the pedestal make it difficult for you to make a successful attack. You swing your mace and miss the creature by mere inches.

Looked at map - that would be a charge to K-13 for Kjell.


Kilain is in that spot, so you cannot charge.the closest spot you can be in to attack is I-14. Please read prior posts to see where others are just in case I do not get a chance to update movement when its your turn. I work 3rd shift so I do a lot of my gaming updates at night when I'm not busy.

Sorry - misread that. I will move to that position and attack, just take the +2 off of my prior attack roll and increase my AC by 2 for the round. Not a big fix at all.

Kjell swings his axe and buries it deep into the creatures skull. It slumps to the floor with the blade still imbedded and then shrieks as it disappears from sight. The axe then lays in the floor in a puddle of water.
