Idris reeled back from the spikes on the creature's gauntlets, and looked down at the blood covering his left arm. "If that's the way you want to play it, buddy, fine by me!"

A cold iron sai appeared in Idris' hand and he punctuated his final words with blows to the creature's throat.

Nagbur heals Idris back up a little, the deepest wounds closing back up. Ama distracts the redcap and Fish hits it. Idris follows with some nasty blows while it is still distracted. The redcap's face starts to turn slightly pale as he begins to lose a fair amount of blood.

Almalik fires a magic missile, slamming into the redcap. Axe moves in and with a heavy overhead chop he cuts it down. With something between a yelp and a grunt the redcap falls down to the ground.

You make your way back towards green and he stares wide eyed at you.
"Ye killed it?!"

Fish struggles to catch his breath as he calms down. He looks toward the second tree home, then at green before walking toward which ever one is closer.

"Well, I certainly wasn't going to kiss the thing. Did you get a look at those teeth? Blargh!"

"So, which way now?" Idris tunred to look, but winced as the wounds in his arms and side pulled tightly.

"Hey, Stinky! Any way you could patch this up before we go?"

Green shakes his head at Idris's remark. To his question Green glances at the sky.
"There be some time."
Green says as the clouds grow closer. You judge that you might still be able to explore some of the next building.

The clouds look near black and lightning crashes from the sky at an alarming rate. The wind begins to pick up around you.

You see a dark figure at top floor, large wings coming up behind him. Large horns cast a shadow when the lightning flashes.

Ama looks up at the thunder clouds in the distance. "I say we get going. We have what we came for."

Due to the time limit it actually didn't really make sense to attack the redcap, as it wasn't bothering us or anyone else. It makes even less sense to head back in now and continue to explore the building, while we obtained what we came for.

Almalik looks away from the redcap without interest, intent on his goal.

"We have no time to lose. Onwards!"

You motion Green to lead the way. He nods in response and starts moving towards the edge of the storm. The wind picks up and you see heavy rain falling from the clouds a little distance away.

Once outside the village he starts across well trotted paths through the forest. You keep following him till you get into a clearing. You stare straight into the face of a man. Although you don’t see his eyes you feel the weight of them bearing down on you. A low resonating voice starts to talk once you are all inside the clearing.
”Green.”
The voice resonates loudly in your head. The surrounding area falls silent upon hearing the voice.
”You have brought them I see. We lost too many already. The gate is open.”
He points at the center of the storm.
”Go forth and slay them. I will join you. Shortly.”
With those last words the man stands, towering even over Axe. With one last glance at you he turns around. The forest around him starts to move. A large tree steps over you with ease, the wood creaking loudly with every step. Several smaller trees walks past you, their viney tops swaying with every pace. As the man is at the edge of the forest he raises a hand, a heavy bolt of lightning shoots up to the sky. Dark clouds start to form around the spot it seemed to have struck the sky. The dark clouds meet the other clouds in a dark and ominous mass.

I'll give you time to respond. I'll need some time to make the maps, I have some nice ideas but they cost time :(

Nagbur turns to look at Idris without moving from his spot. "Sure, that be no problem!"

Looks like we have a bit of time before we move out, so Stinky will just continue to draw from the earth, healing Idris 1HP/Round. GM, if you want him to move before that time's up (he has to stay "planted" to draw power), just let me know how long he gets to stand there, and I'll fill in the remaining HP with a wand. Either way, Idris will be full-up by the time we move out.

Is "the man" giant-sized or just "big?" Also, if we're moving out quickly then the STR boosts should still be in effect. The THP might burn out by the time we engage, though...

He is a very large man or a small giant, your choice ;P

Nagbur roots himself into the ground and heals everyone in the party to full health. Green looks very nervous as time passes. At last he talks up.
"I can't join you. I will join my brothers. I will lead you to the designated spot then our ways will part."
The moment Nagbur releases his hold on the earth he starts walking.
"We must hurry."
A path the size of a wide road is left behind by the walking trees and the man. You follow it to the edge of the forest then a gruesome sight fills your eyes.
A blood red shimmering gate the size of several stories high stands tall at the other end of the clearing you just stepped on. Horrid creatures step out of the gate. Flying creatures followed by yellowish looking clouds. Bone like golems, like several skeletons fit into a single one. Knights in jet black armor, marching side by side.
Looking past the gate and the horrible creatures streaming out you see the other side of the forest on fire, sending up black billowing smoke.
Finally your eyes rest on the man who just went before you. He stands a little way off on the clearing, his eyes intent on the gate. You follow his eyes to the gate and a creature looking like none of the others you have seen before steps out. The master of death, as he is easily recognized, holds his hand towards the faerie king and a gigantic fireball whizzes through the air.

Green runs off after saying where you are expected.

Now we wait for the map!

You move to the designated area and wait for a while. Three figures appear in the distance. Two of the jet black knights flanking a human shaped thing that seems to be wrapped in paper. Both knowledge dungeneering

Ama takes a 5-foot step forward to draw some more attention to herself. She draws her cold wood nodachi and braces herself with a readied attack, hoping one of the knights decides to charge her.

Wow... that's more than twice Stinky's Collective range!

As Ama steps forward, Nagbur makes a break for the nearest bush to get out of sight.

He probably won't get to stay there since he'll have to keep others within range, but for now he's going to plant his feet so he can draw earth power. That's a Move Action and a Standard Action.

Anyone else want to prepare for this battle? I assure you, you are going to need everything you can get your hands on.

I also made some considerate changes to this battle, meaning there are hardly fey in it. I will ignore the DR they might have for the sake, just pretend they're all fairies. I couldn't set up a nice battle with the resourced that I had.

Watching the figures approach, Almalik hurriedly casts a protection from evil spell on himself. He mutters in a low voice.

"I have a web spell that should be able to catch one or two of them so we don't fight all at once. Wait for the spell to go off and let them come to us."

I thought we were basically going straight into melee mode. If not and he has time, Stinky will manifest a pair of Vigors, each augmented by 3PP and shared with two Collective members. So Ama, Axe, Fish, Idris, and Nagbur all have 20 Temporary HP for 6 minutes. Almalik, since you're not a fighter -- and not wanting to burn too much power before we know what's coming -- I left you out (it's nothing personal). Stinky only gets it because it's a "Range Personal/Target Self" power, so he has to... I'd definitely give it to you instead if I could.

A giant clash of weapons seems to be played off on the other side of the battlefield as you prepare for the enemies. After about half a minute the weird creature covered in the pages of a book spreads its large arms but remains silent. A few seconds later creatures start to appear in front of him. A large skeleton like creature and two small slug like creatures covered in pus appear. While a loud crash of thunder rings in your ears, with the bolt striking awfully close in the tree next to the enemies, the battle seems to start.

The enemies side remains motionless, on the point of going into action. The tree next to the book like creature is slowly turning into a raging inferno, the fire quickly spreading.

Almalik winces as he sees the burning tree and also spends a second calculating distance before he realizes that his targets are too far away. He moves a little closer.

"Let them come to us, don't spread out too far. Once they're a little closer I can web what I can."

"So, I guess we stand here and wait for them to build up overwhelming strength and attack at their leisure? Good plan." Idris rolled his eyes and moved slightly apart from the others, hoping to avoid the tight clusters that invited attacks.

All the enemies in front of you move forward towards you. The book like creature (from now on bookie) opens two more small black portal out of which come more pus covered slugs. The knights lift their feet of the ground and hover slowly towards you, bookie follows their lead also hovering above the ground. You look to the side of them and see the reason they're moving towards you. The single fire in the tree is spreading like wildfire, the grass surrounding it and the tree next to is now also on fire.

Off into the distance a single other creature is headed straight towards you. A human like creature with a goats head and raven like wings flies towards the battlefield. Behind him a large cloud of putrid offal trails. Entranceway marked on the edge of the map.

Unhappy with how spread out the enemies are on the battlefield, Almalik nonetheless gives his spell a try. Rushing forwards, he brushes some spiderwebs on his hands before hurling them through the air. A glob of sticky material soars over the first creature before landing behind them and spreading out into an enormous web!

Ama focuses on her power and speeds her body up. She decides to also take some distance from the others and moves east.

Bolt Time (Su):
By spending an aevum, the time thief can accelerate her movements to a speed that allows her to easily see and react to the movement of a crossbow bolt or other projectile as it flies toward a target. The time thief remains in bolt time for one round per class level. This ability counts as a haste effect. While in bolt time, the time thief gains the following benefits:
* When making a full attack action, the time thief may make one extra attack with any weapon she is holding. The attack is made using her full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can’t use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)
* The time thief gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
* All of the time thief’s modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice her normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus and it affects the time thief’s jumping distance as normal for increased speed.
* Each round, the time thief may automatically dodge the first ranged attack she is aware of that would otherwise strike her.

Damn that is one powerful and annoying spell!

Bookie and the left knight become stuck under the web and seem to struggle with the thick strands. The right knight seems unaffected by the strands, although he is still trapped under them. Ama seems to speed up after concentrating for a moment.

Charged so AC is only 18. Unless a haste is cast in which case I can reach that without needing to charge, reducing my attack roll by 1, but upping my AC is 21. Otherwise, I hope that doesn't hurt me :P

"Me no like this," Nagbur grumbles under his breath. "Muchly many, muchly spread out, muchly far away."

Focusing on the creature Axe is attacking, the small Vitalist reaches out with his mind in an effort to ensnare it.

Axe charges in and slams his weapon down on the slug like creature. The weapon slices clean through it, it bulges and explodes covering Axe in gross pus.

As I said earlier I would greatly appreciate it if you mention that beforehand. At this rate this game won't finish before the next year. I've lowered the posting rate to once every two days instead of once every day and still rounds last up to a week... This not only irritates me but some of the players as well, they've contacted me about this. If some of you are not able to keep up please say so instead of stalling the game.

Bookie & knights:
Bookie breaks free of the web's sticky embrace, tearing several of the pages from him. The knight next to him is unable to break free.

Summons:
The pus covered slugs move forward with alarming speed but are unable to take further actions. The bone golem takes a single step forward towards Axe and slams down two huge bone fists on him. The first one slams down next to him, missing him by a foot. The second one catches him off guard and slams right into him.

Flying creature:
The creature that was flying closer is now in your immediate vicinity. It hovers in the air doing nothing at all but observing. Left side of the map.

Environment:
The fire keeps rapidly spreading and slowly turns the ground and trees to ashes, sending up a cloud of black smoke.

Invoking Vigor with 4PP augment plus 1PP for Spirit of Many to share with Axe. Axe and Stinky now have 25 Temporary HP for 6 minutes.

Also drawing a point of healing from the earth and sending it to Axe via collective Healing (Free Action). So Axe should be at 41/58HP+25THP.
