"My brotherssssss will come. You kill slavesssssss, we killssssss you."

Knowledge on the shadow:

Normally this creature lurks deep within the forbidden woods, located at a large gravesite. The monstrosity attacking this plane seems to have ripped this creature out of his place and ordered it to join with the attack, since it normally wouldn't get out of his normal place.

This creature is part of a group of three. The three nearly identical creatures grow stronger when they weaken from attacks. Their normal array of attacks consist of weapon attacks, firebreath and fireballs. Their attacks grow stronger as you weaken them. Once on their last breath they summon giant snakes.

Idris grabs the creature and locks him in place, making it easier for Ama and Axe to hit their target. They both hit their targets.

The storm and the creature are in no way connected. I'll add some info to make it clear.

Nagbur stares at the creature, not sure what to think of it just yet.
Slowly the loud thunder crashes are coming closer. Looking through one of the windows you notice that the storm is coming from the direction Green was leading you. The casters among you notice that there is strong magic being used far off.

Green shivers as he is staring out of the window.
"Time be running out."

Fish kills the creature with his club. The hood falls back and reveals multiple snake heads where you would expect a head.

Several more bodies lay strewn across the forest floor with blood pooling on the forest floor. The old man doesn't notice Axe hovering some way away and remains bent over, soaking the cap in blood.

Knowledge nature DC 15:

The 'old man' before you is no old man at all. It is a redcap, one of the most evil fey you are ever likely to meet. Redcaps are mass-murdering psychotic killers who live on other creatures' pain. Redcaps grow stronger by soaking their caps in the blood of their victims. The more kills the stronger they get. The caps are their weakness, without them they remain fierce but not nearly as strong. They possess resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage as well as have bonus against being knocked prone.

GM: 1) Unless all this happens in less than three rounds, everyone's up to full health; you have Fish down by one point. 2) Has it really been six minutes since the last fight? All we did was search the bodies and come down the ladder. Those temporary hit points from the last fight should still be in play unless I'm totally misreading how long the follow-up would've taken.

The map was switched and Stinky put in with everyone else, but he would've stayed where he was, feet firmly planted and operating from there. I don't know what direction we came from or how far away, so I've just put him arbitrarily in the trees.

On a meta note, one of my PCs faced a redcap in another game. These things are nasty! Please be careful, guys, and hit hard!

Agreeing with Almalik's assessment (except for the "vast powers" part), Nagbur sighs mentally as the group advances on the redcap.

He closes his eyes and, after a few moments of concentration, moths appear and flutter around him. Simultaneously, Ama, Fish, and Idris suddenly feel strength rushing through them.

Manifesting Animal Affinity with 3PP added for Spirit of Many to distribute to Ama, Fish, and Idris along with Stinky. All four now have +4 to Str for 6 minutes; adjust your damage accordingly! (I believe that's what we settled on as the most useful boost... I also recall Axe saying he already had that much and this is non-stacking, so I'm excluding him.)

Be muchly quick, okay!

Idris rushed forward, his eyes fixed on the creature's scythe. With a bone-numbing strike and a twist of his wrists, Idris did his best to yank the weapon from the creature.

Moved Almalik to the top of the round. He was at the end of round one, makes posting a little easier.

Coming into range Fish walks right into the creature's trap. The scythe moves lightning quick and takes nearly chops off one of his arms. Luckily he feels nothing of the attack, Nagbur extra health taking away the damage. He tries to retaliate but does not manage to connect an attack. Axe swings his axe and makes a large gash on the creature's side. Idris grabs the creature's weapon and drops it.

The creature strikes at Idris. His fists, armed with long spikes, move quick as a whip and he creates some nasty gashes along Idris's stomach.
