Aakif’s non-hostile tone triggers something deep within the ettin’s angry brain. Its crimson eyes fade to their normal color for a moment, as it loudly but lucidly responds to its sister’s plea for help.
“ONE VOICE WANTS TO HELP YOU, VAHR. JUST ONE! OUTA WHAT ... FIVE OR SIX OTHERS? AND THAT ONE SOUNDS MORE HUMAN THAN ORC.”
“YOU NEED TO WAKE UP FROM THE FANTASY WORLD YOU’RE LIVING IN IF WE’RE GOING TO SURVIVE.”
The ettin stabs the air with its enormous blade to emphasise the points it makes. “THE HALF-ORCS WANT US DEAD! GORGNAK’S PEOPLE WANT US DEAD! SEEMS EVEN FOREIGN STRANGERS … WANT … US … DEAD!!!”
The creature looks aggressively in the Pathfinders’ directions. “MAYBE IT A GOOD THING THAT THIS HAPPENED TO ME. FIGHTING FOR OUR LIFE MIGHT MAKE YOU REALIZE THE KIND OF WORLD WE LIVE IN ...”
Any PC may attempt to talk to/influence/calm the ettin during the fight when it’s your turn.
But for now, we’re into …

Then an angry cherry-red light bursts from Pahg’s rune-scar sending crackling red plasma flowing about the ettin’s body. Its speed swiftly increases.

“Ah, yup!” The black-haired ogre called Rowlf agrees. “Shrakas spent the last month sitting on his arse in Winter Hall drinking King Gorgnak’s booze.”

No, you haven’t missed anything, Fendahl :) I needed to update the map first, so I could work out what to post …
Angry at Caradeum’s prowess with a bow, Rowlf advances 30’ and tries to pin the elf with a giant javelin.
Black javelin on Caradeum: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Blue javelin on Fendahl: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Cleaver charges the ettin, his axe making a deep cut in Vahr’s upper thigh.
“Aah, Pahg! Something cut me – but I no see it!”
The ettin takes off at a run, it’s angry half focussing on Fendahl. “IT PROBABLY YOUR IMAGINATION, VAHR! I DEFINITELY SEE A WILD ELF. WE GET THAT – NOT CHASE PHANTOMS.”
In doing so, the creature unknowingly moves past the sharp invisible danger that is Varg.
You may take an AoO on the ettin at your highest BAB + all the fruit EXCEPT you can’t use Furious Focus, so normal Power Attack penalties apply.
As the ettin approaches the Lion Shaman, Pahg calls to the remaining ogre. “Kermit! You help me with elf!”
One minor thing, I have difficulty seeing how a large cat could easily get through the bushy terrain, without some kind of check. *Shrug* If you can come up with a creative solution – great!
ALSO!! The ettin’s attack on Fendahl assumes Varg doesn’t drop it with his Attack of Opportunity.
Green Ogre Greatclub on Fendahl: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Vahr bastard sword on Fendahl: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (2, 8) + 9 = 19
After the giant-kin attack, there is a deep rumbling from the hillside directly in front of the battlefield – not unlike the noises the Little Thunder dam was making before it collapsed. As the ROAR dies away, the rockface bursts laterally and two monstrosities emerge into the field from a hidden cavern. One appears to once have been an ogre, but it is somehow turned inside-out … Its partner has a similar appearance – but is even bigger!
Zoot the blue-haired ogre sums up the feelings of his brethren in two syllables … “Uh – oh.”

Panicked: A panicked creature must drop anything it holds and flee at top speed from the source of its fear, as well as any other dangers it encounters, along a random path. It can't take any other actions.
In addition, the creature takes a –2 penalty on all saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. If cornered, a panicked creature cowers and does not attack, typically using the total defense action in combat.
A panicked creature can use special abilities, including spells, to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape.
Panicked is a more extreme state of fear than shaken or frightened.
Shaken: A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. Shaken is a less severe state of fear than frightened or panicked.

You recognize the Creatures as ‘Inverted Guardians’ created through cruel experimentation on true giants and giant-kin by servants of the Runelords of Thassilon.
Two questions!
"Before you force us to kill you, who are your friends from the cave?
“They are NOT friends of ours, Long-Hair. They will not discriminate between killing your people or mine …” The calmer head replies before she is interrupted by her sister.
“SHUT YOUR CAKE-HOLE, VAHR! IT NOT MATTER. WE SLAUGHTER PUNIES FIRST!!”
Seemingly out of nowhere, Kirrah crashes through the undergrowth and latches onto the green ogre’s left shoulder, dragging the monster into a stoop, causing it’s club to miss her master. With the bottom of the ogre’s jaw fully exposed, Fendahl doesn’t hesitate. He drives the point of his katana just below the ogre’s chin through its tongue and brain, watching his blade emerge from the top of the beast’s head.
Unfortunately, this leaves his own back unprotected, and Pagh-Vahr takes full advantageous striking the elf twice with its twin bastard swords. (39 hp damage to Fendahl)
After pulling his blade free, Fendahl retreats 5’ into the shrubbery his animal companion emerged from.

Aakif will take +2 to attack, AC, and reflex from BoF.
"Here's a crazy idea. How about we stop those creatures from the cave, and you stop attacking us?!?
Aakif casts fireball, targeting the two creatures in front of the cave.

The ‘party hard’ half of Team Cleric takes a step towards Cleaver and … makes it all better for him! Awwww ….
The Lucky Drunk also grants His own brand of courage to His servant and Fendahl.
The ‘sunshine & happiness’ half of the Clerical Team offers FIERY WRATH to one group of enemies, and Divine Redemption to the other …
“HA! LET’S SEE WHO CREATURES ATTACK FIRST, HOO-MAN!”
Reflex HUGE: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Reflex LARGE: 1d20 ⇒ 1
The Creepy Cave Creatures appear to take the full force of the flames to their faces (if they had faces) but do not seem as damaged by the fire as Aakif would have thought. No SR BTW
