I'm not sure you get day job checks if you are playing Pregens unless they changed that this season.
To be completely honest, I wish PFS Leadership would outright drop everything and focus on this, as the current guide is a hot mess. In a local game setting, I default to "I'm going to use the last guide until fixed", but here, "??????????!!!!!!!!!!!"
Short answer, I do not know. I believe that if your Pregen can make a Day Job roll, it counts for the character you are applying it to. But, I'll tell you what. I'll leave that section blank, and just sign off that block.

Sorry about the delay.

I've reported the game. Our sixth player has not responded at all, so I didn't want to wait any longer. I'd forgotten to ask for Factions, so I had to go through and track them all down. Anyway, check your sessions in a few days just to make sure everything is correct, and if not I'll send Jesse an email.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a little bit of an update, as I've been having a little trouble posting for this game the last few days. The reason is, (as a huge open sandbox), the next post is going to be kind of huge, and I'm also trying to finish up another game that is right at the end to help sort of clear my roster a bit, (with the intent of freeing up my time that much more to post here).
I have not forgotten about this game, and I have not vanished, just between work/life, other games right on the brink, and lack of time posting throughout the day, it's been very difficult to get this one going over the last few days, (all my fault).
I will say, having already run this by PbP, that there is a certain hump in play, but once we get over it, actually getting to where you are going, things pick up a lot and become a lot more intriguing and fast paced.
Something I've found that can help every to stay engaged is some interparty RP, or even friendly competition while you wait, and if you feel inclined, then by all means. On the other hand, it should only be a few days at most before I can dedicate the time needed to this one and get things going.

_Lem |

So.. Jamilla is obviously from an earlier scenario
Has anyone see the other characters before?

I wanted to apologize to everyone. Work has been very exhausting lately, and I needed a little bit of a break this weekend. I'm back, and I hope not to be absent as much. Some of the games I've also been trying to focus on completing have just been dragging on as people do not make rolls I've asked for or do not post, and have been taking longer than I had expected. One is finally done, but another still going on.
I'll be updating this game within the next hour, but as I mentioned, it's probably a pretty long post.

_Lem |

No worries. We are just glad you took us on. I think you'll find us all slowing down over the Christmas season

Ember, The Chronicler |

This might be a good time to mention I will be traveling from Dec 25th to Jan 1st and will likely not be able to post at all during that time.
Given that it's the holidays, I expect posting activity will be down overall, but feel free to bot me if it's needed.

![]() |

That's fine. I'm in the military, and a medic at that, so I will be working most of the time, but I also expect slower posting.

_Lem |

By the way I'll be away from Saturday for a week. I may have some internet but no guarantees.

![]() |

Ok. Sorry everyone. I'm working on updating now. I'm a Medic in the army, and didn't get a lot of time off for these holidays, but things should be back to normal now.

![]() |

I wanted to apologize to everyone and just let everyone know I'm not abandoning the game. I've gotten hit with some massive inventories this week and the end of last, and have been working very long hours and through the weekend. I tried to get on and post on the weekend, but the site was down, and I didn't get home until very late last night.
I'm exhausted tonight, but I finished up. So, with luck, I'll be able to jump in and get everything rolling tomorrow. Again sorry for the long wait.

_Lem |

Thanks for sticking with us. Getting rid of all those expired drugs and vials of saline is important work. We're just a distraction and we all appreciate you picking us up.

And HERE are the Chronicle Sheets. I noticed that it doesn't seem like the game has been reported, at least on my end, so I've already emailed Jesse about it. I'll keep you posted, but if you could also check in your Player resources, it should have been dated around Dec 3rd and please let me know. Also, if Mjolbeard89 could check to see if they ever received their Boon as well.
I'd also like to hear your thoughts on this one. I personally didn't care for it, simply because I didn't feel like it was at all challenging until the very end.
I am, however, very interested to see just what come of it, and even if it is just in PFS, finding and freeing, (AND ALLOWING CLERICS OF) the Good Elemental Lords would be great. But, we will see.

Pregenterated Beard |

I did receive my boon. Thanks for checking. I don't see this game in my reported sessions, however.
I thought the scenario had some really cool set pieces, but the execution was kinda rough, especially for PbP. I thought you did a good job with everything, though. I was also kinda confused about my separate objective of placing the stones for Ayrzul. I think that's probably more to do with my relative lack of experience and difficulty understanding the pacing of these pregen scenarios than anything else, but still.
Like you, I'll be really interested to see just what comes of this season. It would be pretty awesome if the season unlocked new deities for divine casters!
Anyway, thanks again for picking us up and carrying us through to the end Beckett! You rule!

_Lem |

I kind of liked the change of pace of these scenarios with pre-gens. I don't like the season 8 rules for pre-gens though, especially not for the special scenarios, although I kind of get them for the regular games.
I too think it would be neat if we got to release the good elemental lords. Is there any of the backstory in the scenario you can share that we didn't pick up?

![]() |

There really isnt. I mean, tried to put it in already, but there isnt really a lot there.
When I get home, ill try take a look at the intro and see if there is more.

![]() |

You are all most welcome. I know how it can go sometimes, and I'm just sorry I've been so busy in real life that it took this long.
Do I have to modify my chronicle sheet any it to my 1st level guy? Isn't it just the gold payout that's modified?
Indeed, it just gives you 500GP. Additionally, you do not get any of the Boons, (which is going to be weird for this one), until that character actually reaches the minimum level to have played this one.
Thanks for saving the game for us, it is very appreciated. I'm not sure what the point of the secondary missions were either, or what mine was other than to maintain the false identity.
The secondary missions where an extra little side mission, mostly for fun. This is how the Old PP system used to work, where you got 1 PP for completing in the scenario, and possible 1 for completing your secondary Faction Mission. However, these, in my opinion, where very uninteresting overall, and not clear at all. I had the exact same issue in my other game, where no even understood what they where supposed to do.

DC by 10 or more counts as two successes). She can attempt
up to four checks. Each one must be after a significant
encounter, such as finding an airship, encountering the
comozant wyrds, exploring the Tower of Contemplation, or
defeating Rift Spinner. Be sure that Ember’s player doesn’t
fail at this mission by virtue of not attempting enough
checks, so long as the player works to compose the tale

to gain respect. Opportunities to do so are presented
throughout the adventure.
Also, here is the Background for the Scenario:
The noble djinni Pahwal served the benevolent elemental lord Ranginori, the Duke of Thunder, loyally until Ayrzul the Fossilized King imprisoned Ranginori in an artifact known as the Untouchable Opal. The backlash from Ranginori’s capture reverberated through his realm, leaving devastation in its wake. Despite all the powerful magic the djinni could bring to bear, Pahwal could only react quickly enough to save the portion of his palace that was farthest from the site of Ayrzul’s treachery—this tower—sending it to a faraway portion of the Plane of Air.
The coalition of fire, water, and earth responsible for guarding the Untouchable Opal has recently made an alarming discovery—Ranginori’s prison is not entirely secure. Although tens of thousands of years have passed since this tower was a part of Ranginori’s realm, it maintains a connection to the imprisoned elemental lord. The Duke of Thunder has been drawing upon his old realm in an attempt to struggle against his bonds. In so doing, however, he has punctured a hole in the Plane of Air itself, and another reality, the plane of primal chaos known as the Maelstrom, is bleeding through this wound. A native of the Maelstrom, a naunet protean that has dubbed itself “Rift Spinner,” is gleefully helping its chaotic home extend its reach. For the time being, Pahwal’s lingering defenses are holding off the Maelstrom’s encroachment, but unless the protean is stopped, the rift threatens to expand dramatically, bringing the unpredictable and destructive influence of the plane of pure chaos with it.
Many who are born on one of the elemental planes concern themselves only with matters on their own plane. Members of the Concordance of Elements take a broader view, dedicating themselves to the cause of harmony and balance among air, earth, fire, and water. This unusual philosophy does not always garner them respect, but it occasionally earns them the role of mediators in inter-elemental disputes. The Concordance has received word from the Plane of Air concerning a massive disturbance of important wind currents that has sent several airships to their doom and is creating increasingly erratic conditions in the area. Ashasar, Liaison to the Seat of Balance, has assembled a team of elite agents to investigate these rumors.

Unless anyone had any other questions or comments, I'm going ot request that this be closed and marked inactive.
Thank you all for gaming with me.

Ember, The Chronicler |

Sounds good. Thanks again for picking up the game, Beckett!

I just wanted to update everyone, I've emailed up for a third time just now trying to get everyone their Boons, this Game Reported, and either assigned as DM or the Campaign closed so it stops showing up in everyone's current games. I've not yet gotten any responses at all (I just did the last one now), but I'll keep trying.

_Lem |

Have you tried contacting Hmm? She seems pretty on to getting stuff done at the moment.
