PS.. I have reworked my character quite a bit.. she is still a wizard, but she is now elven instead of human, with quite a bit of tweeking done. This was all done PFS legal, with my local DM helping me out... Thank god.. lol.. its been a long time since Ad+d which is the last time that I roleplayed!!!

Hey everyone - I'm assuming we had a chance to meet (in-character) previously, so may I ask... by what exact name would you have introduced yourself to Kuaizi? e.g. first name only, last name only, full name, nickname? I ask because he will always call you by the exact name you give him and append it with an honorific title (as is the custom in his homeland).

Kuaizi formally bows to each of you on introduction, with hands in prayer position at his chest. To the dwarf he says, "Greetings Evan-san!" To the elf, "Greetings Senja Witherwind-san!" and on correction, "Humble apologies Senja Wi... Senja-san!".

To the hooded wayang, Kuaizi recognizes the shadowy people from his home realm of far away Tian Xia. "Wènhòu Veil-san! Nǐ jiǎng Tian Xia de gòngtóng yǔyán?"

Speak Tien:
"Greetings honorable Mr. Veil! Do you speak the common tongue of Tian Xia?"

An expression of surprised glee comes over Kuaizi's face as the dwarf speaks his homeland language. "Ah Evan-san! Very good! Very good!"

Bowing formally to the lovely wizardess again, "Greetings Amelia-chan!"

Kuaizi looks confused at first, then ashamed, as Veilwar replies to him, "Thousand apologies Veil-san! I was in error to presume... I simply meant to bid you fond greetings." Kuaizi formally bows once more. "I am afraid I have not mastered the tongue of your people yet, though I am fascinated to learn new languages!"

Try to get the gist of what Veilwar is saying in wayang:

Int 6 eh? I'd mimic an IQ of 60 (e.g. multiply your Int score by 10).

Yes, I lost intelligence.. which means that basically I am useless from here out. Other than as a very weak basher. DM, is there a stat block for added damage for dropping on the enemy from a height such as the smash attack from the top of the case I am standing on?? or is that considered a grapple maneuver? No clue what to do other than that, because obviously i have no spells, and an ape would not have the intelligence for quarterstaff work.

I've played and GM'd this a number of times. You're not 100% simian yet...so feel free to use your weapons. But if you'd like to try something fancy like pouncing down from the ceiling I'll figure out a way to reward your creativity.

Can I charge along a wall? It was something I was thinking of doing but I didn't have the movement speed to move to the wall AND charge in a single line. Just wondering if its possible.

My apologies for late replies. My life hit me hard on Sunday, and I didn't even look at a computer (other than work, where I have no access) until this morning. Everything should be good now.

I'm assuming the table I jumped up on is actually higher ground. If it's overturned, just drop the +1 to attack rolls then... not that it's made a difference so far, lol.

Soooo.... Not sure if IT caught just me (there are a couple of us that play PFS) on this site at work, or if Paizo got banned throughout the network, but posting during the day mon-thurs is not going to be possible until i find a way through the firewalls. I will do what I can from my phone, but will be unable to update any maps and it takes forever.

Yikes...I've been there! I'll try to stick to morning updates during the week so if you sneak in an action in the evening you should be all set.

Yea we work 4 12 hr shifts Mon-thurs and by the time I get home its all I can do to stay conscious for a bit of time with the wife lol

If Conlaoch didn't pass his save over the next few hours his hair would have fallen out. After that his head leather-like wings would have grown out of his head and, eventually, his head would have snapped off of his body and become a Vargouille. Fun, eh?

Soo.. Just a suggestion, but seeing as how I am just about useless without my magic, and chance that we can use that scroll on Amelia? I dont want to take anything away from Evan, but he seems to be at least holding his own with the simian qualities.

I'm actually surprised that this hasn't happened yet...but if there are no objections we'll just assume this happens for the next encounter (which, incidentally, is the final encounter.)

One of the things I like about this scenario is that it puts often puts non-melee characters into a role that will probably not get to play otherwise; but of course it can be frustrating to look at your spell list and see something that would be able to help out in a particular situation and not be able to do anything about it.

....and since we're close to the final encounter we can get our bookkeeping stuff out of the way; especially considering we've got a holiday coming up. I'll put our boon rolls in a spoiler below; we're listed alphabetically by avatar name. Anyone who gets a 1 or a 20 gets their choice of a boon; I'll give your your options via PM if you get one.

Once we're finished I'll report the event to the organizers & get chronicle sheets out right away.

Never had a "boon roll".. What is this and how does it work?

Boons are special chronicle sheets that you can apply to one of your characters….one of the perks of begin a part of a virtual convention like this PFS Game Day is that it is a way for us PbP folks to earn/win boons that are usually reserved for large, in person events.

What sort of boons exist?

There are usually small things ... I got a couple at GenCon this year that allowed me to improve really bad rolls on day jobs and another to get 25+ gp temporary equipment prior to each mission. It is kind of a nice way to customize your characters a little.

I was actually going to suggest Amelia take the scroll right after we got it. But we started the next encounter before I had a chance to post, and then I forgot about it lol.
